  1. OH YEAH, you are right! Nobody ever goes to Las Vegas for big events or conventions! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely HATE Vegas. I am the one Nevadan around here, but it is 500 miles and another world away from where I live. I would have preferred Canada, or Chicago, or New York. Hockey Country! But I totally get the choice. just like Bettmans choice to put a team there and have awards there long before a team. VEGAS is Big! Your comments about the tournament are pointless, since you didn't come to Toronto and have constantly said you did not like or plan to attend these type events. I am actually starting to like you and believe you are spot on about online leagues, but you should stay out of this. Mikey and Halifax bust a-- making these things happen and deserve our support.

  2. I always hated the arrows. if you are off-screen, you are "that way" -- off screen. there was so much unnecessary clutter in the original. it made it accessible and easy to learn, but it hurts the overall value, in my mind. I can't begin to express how much happier I am with no player indicators (numbers, stars, arrows). now if only I could get rid of the overlaid time and score window and only have it appear briefly after whistles and in the final minute of each period.... edit: Bob, it might be because your team sucks. in fact, yeah, it's that. personally, I like having some shitty teams to pick from, so I'm satisfied with excluding teams from the not-quite-the-worst pool, as I did with CBJ and MIN. ideally, we wouldn't bar anybody from Ron Barr's bar, if you bar what I bar.

  3. Much in the vein of my 96/97 rom hack, i've done another for the 2001/2002 season (post trade deadline) I honestly think this is superior to my previous attempt at a rom hack as i feel the ratings are much fairer to certain players and even the jerseys imho look better this time around. The only things of note really are as follows: -Atlanta/Minnesota in, Nashville/Columbus out (Yes Nashville and Columbus finished higher then Atlanta, but, i feel the combo of rookies Kovelchuk and Heatley make the Thrashers inherently more interesting) -Some ratings will obviously be up for debate but i feel most of them are relatively fair. -That's really all there is to this rom, link will be below.
