  1. I think you might be able to get this to work directly on XP, without that dosbox thing. I know it worked for me for another old game I love (Command and Conquer: Red Alert) so it should work on this. You right click on the .exe file, then go to Properties, then Compatibility, then check the box that says: Run this program in compatibility mode for: and make sure it says Windows 95 in the drop-down box. You may also have to check the top two boxes under Display settings (Run in 256 colors and Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.) I haven't tried this myself, but if anyone wants to try it, it might enable you to play it directly, without needing an emu.
  2. I was playing against Buffalo using the Florida Panthers (hey! they are my hometown team!) Well, Andrei Lomakin got put in the penalty box. I chose the PK2 line, and Lomakin happens to be the center of that line. Well, something happened that in the years of playing the game, I'd never seen before. In the course of playing, one of my players got the puck, and he his number was 0. I have played with the Panthers quite a bit, they are one of the two teams I use mostly (the Pens being the other,) so I pretty much know who all of their players are. Well, this player was quite good, and rather fast, so I looked at the roster to see who it was, because I was surprised that I had missed such a good player for so long! Well, the player's name is just simply "Arena" and his overall is 99. Here is a breakdown of his ratings: Overall: 99 Agility: 25 Speed: 77 Handed: Righty Off. Aware: 99 Def. Aware: 99 Shot Power: 25 Shot Accuracy: 45 Pass Accuracy: 99 Stick Handling: 99 Weight: 140 lb Endurance: 99 Aggressiveness: 75 Checking: 99 Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Like I said, this is the first time I've ever noticed this and I've been playing the game for years.
  3. I still need to get a USB game controller before I switch to pc. I have a feeling though, once I get involved with editing the rom, just like I do with another favorite of mine (Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES) I won't want to go back to the console. I still want to pull off a 20 point game though, before I put the Genesis away for good. That might not sound like much, but it's something for me to shoot for. I figure if I can beat the Pens 15-0 with the Panthers, I should be able to hit 20 eventually using the Pens.
  4. I was playing a playoff game against Tampa Bay (yeah, I know) using the Pens. I was having one of my best games ever, and with less than a minute into the 2nd period, I was up 11-0. At this point, I was thinking that I was going to reach a 20 pt game. However, I moved my leg, and the game froze. I was sitting on my bed at the time, and the Genesis was too, and I guess the bump was too much for it. In case anyone is wondering, I was only using the game genie to change the color of the ice. I guess I'll press on and try to recreate that great game, but it's a bummer. Joe Mullen was on FIRE! He had a hat trick in the opening period. I kinda feel bad for the guy....
  5. I did a lot of searching on this forum, but I couldn't find the hex code to change make the game 2-on-2. My reason for wanting to do this is the hopes that I can convert the hex code to game genie code for the Genesis. This is something I've already done with the ice color (this works out nicely) and I would like to try and code a 2-on-2. I was wondering if anyone knows the code to do this. And to go off-topic for a moment, the hyper speed code for game genie works really well, although it speeds up the music too.
