  1. Less chat+more practice=better results.......... Great analysis Dog. Couldn't have said it any better. SSiG maybe you don't really want to get better, you just like this game/site for socializing and the time to time self-defocation? Which is all good.
  2. Good season fellas. Thanks Evan for running class leagues. 1. Best Overall Coach - Jrod (slight edge over Sebe) 2. Best Sportsmanship Coach - Sebe 3. Best Manual Goalie Coach - Jrod 4. Most Creative Coach - Legend 5. Most Improved Coach - FlyinHi (great turnaround bro) 6. Coach Who Stuck It Out Through The Hard Times - Kuapuck 7. WTF Happened to you: TheCrimsonKing 8. Your Moms a MILF: Jrod Jrod and Sebe were pretty even as best overall coach, but think Jrod barely edges Sebe based on having slightly less overall roster talent. Also by smoking me 4 games to 2 in CF. Legend was a one-timing wizard with the Pens. FlyinHi was a trooper in sticking things out after a rough start and paid off with great play down the stretch.
  3. geez dude, not sure if I should be flattered or O-ffended 12 game losing streak (240+ min scoreless streak) suggests the latter Peace Citadel
  4. Thought this was a classic interview. Check it out....my fave snip-it: Mark Lesser: In the realm of most games there are some fairly distinct and often simple hooks that catch a player's interest and become addicting. Even with the shell of complex graphics and sounds, there remain these core experiences which a player yearns for. For many games the eye and ear candy are of fleeting interest. I was flabbergasted to discover a website of devoted followers of NHL '94 which includes software emulation of the game and tournaments and chat rooms going strong after more than a decade. I also http://www.digitpress.com/library/intervie...ark_lesser.html
  5. I love the idea. One every winter would be awesome. Don't think it really grew the sport much at all. But for us hardcore fans, it brought a tear to my eye. I was sitting indian style in front of the TV on the floor the whole game. Felt like a kid again watching it. I think they should make it an annual game that Buffalo and maybe Detroit host. SImilar to what the NFL does on Thanksgiving (Det/Dal host games only). I'm partial to Buff being 45 min away
  6. My new fave trick shot is to catch the goalie wandering into the far corner, grab the puck behind the net, pull to the front of the net (between the net and goalie, and tuck her in. Tough as hell to do, but crafty and sneaky as hell. Haven't figured out how to set it up like the okey-doke
  7. very impressive swos especially with line changes on and not 100% energy. Gotta question the stiff you were playing too.
  8. Good luck Ssig. Looks like Sagathon is next up! Lets keep this thing rolling
  9. I say give this 'blacklist' a league of their own. If they're able to complete their games in that league, then they'd be welcome back into the serious leagues (i.e. leagues with owners who honor their commitments). This 'league' would act as a re-habilitation Black List league. Open for all the serious coaches to check periodically and monitor the slackers rehabilitation. I agree it does get tiring. The only other solution is to implement league dues. I know it's more fun without money involved, but I know from fantasy experience, the free leagues participation pales in comparison to the fee leagues.
  10. Dude, I record all the time using the playback feature on netplaysave. Any idea how I can take snip-its of the games and save them etc? If it requires specific software, post it here bro. I'm all over it.
  11. Congrats to both you guys. Well deserved and I'm sure a great series. Enjoy your title Sebe, nice job. You're both Great Players! Now enough of the love fest, we're on to more leagues and more seasons! Lets roll.
  12. I echo Aj's thoughts dude. Love ths site and appreciate all the work. I'd like to suggest adding a few more fields to the Team Stats page: Home and Away records 1 goal game records OT records One timer % BG % Thanks D
  13. True Skoolio. My bad dude. Let's just call them 'Liberal' or 'Democratic' goals. I think those are synonomous with the way Jrod is using the word gay.
  14. lol dude, the very reason you posted this poll is because of our discussion a few days ago. We'll guess where this vote is going broham? It's as gay as Sparky.
  15. you gotta be kidding me Carse.....
  16. The flash at 1:58 is freakin awesome.
  17. sweeeeeeeeeet vid bra! Love the graphics u added. Keep it up man. Next time use this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tqxtEFAJEU
  18. The ironic thing in all of this is, if Sungod had his way, Brent never would've made the playoffs in the first place. Too funny
  19. Absolutely bro. I'm an Amerk nut or at least i was back in the day. I remember the Nova Scotia Voyageurs. That was vintage hockey for sure.
  20. Ummm, so ya gr81....that response helps me understand the type of relationship u have with B.B.
  21. Just different types of micro-brew beers. Hokkee help me out here bro.
  22. I dunno man, I do enjoy my Sam Adams Winter Variety Pack quite a bit. And Saranac Trail Mix..mmmmmmmmmm India Pale Ale rulez! But then again, Klima to the cage is quite the fix too.
  23. Lol, Mack it's been this way since we were all running around in our diapers. Anything that is competitive brings out the worst in us sometimes. I remember back in college we all used to almost throw down after some of our NHL94 battles. The BS cheeze move, before that the unstoppable cheeze play in techmo bowl, and before that the inevitable switch to 'expert' on atari when your opponent wasn't looking. Ya I just aged myself, but wow the older we get the less things change. Games bring out the children in us sometimes. Just gotta look beyond the pettyness and see what it's all about- Competition and fun.
