  1. I hate philly, but it was a minor miracle they didn't score in the 3rd.
  2. Yeah, not only does it extract the stats, it seems to allow you to set a season length, save games by team, coach, it does rankings, leaderboards by category, publish to web, etc. Lots going on here, worth checking out. I only messed with if for about 15 minutes, but it does have a helpful readme file. I do think it's limited to classic, unless you have some programming knowledge.
  3. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/14181-please-leave-updated-rosters-and-lines-in-this-thread-for-blitz07/page__view__findpost__p__116119
  4. Some history: Blitz 04 Draft Finishes: Dec 9, 2009 Blitz 04 Season Start: Dec 29, 2009 20 days from end of draft Blitz 05 Draft Finishes: Oct 11, 2010 Blitz 05 Start: Oct 26, 2010 15 days from end of draft. Blitz 06 Draft Finishes: Jun 12, 2011 Blitz 06 Start: Oct 14, 2011 124 days from end of draft! Blitz 07 Draft Finished: Apr 08, 2012 Based on the previous season, I suggest not asking smozoma when the season will start until at least August 10th.
  5. Bump for this program. I just toyed around with it and it's great!!!
  6. You can pass shot from a deke both forehand and backhand, coming in diagonal or straight down, shooting it diagonally or lined up to a corner, crease-cut, etc. There are more ways...I know 'cause I've been the victim of them all! For example, here's swos scoring three backhand pass shots for a quick hat trick:
  7. This has been on my mind lately. Coming up on a year from the original post...I'm happy to help get this started if people are still interested. My idea is to start a thread (Ultimate GENS Strategy Guide) that has the overall outline as the first post, and as sections are written/updated, I will modify the original post with hyperlinks to the appropriate sections. First step would be to get the basic outline mapped out and the rest will flesh out as people contribute articles/ideas. Some ideas to start: * How to Play - Basics * Inside the ROM - player attributes, etc. (some hacking stuff already written, perhaps to be summarized) * Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Scoring Strategies & Techniques - Slapshot - Deke - Crease-Cut - One-timers - Pass Shot - RAM - Rebound * The Art of Checking - Poke Check - "C" Check * Defensive Strategies * The Art of Manual Goalie Control * Building Starting Lines (link to AJ section) * Bugs * Appendix/Reference Anyway, this should be a fun project. Best articles would include pictures and/or video examples.
  8. I dunno, Season 1 looked like a success...even had a huge regular season of 70+ games! Unfortunately it seems replacing players is a universal problem. Classic/Blitz/GDL/SDL, etc. are not immune. Very frustrating for people like C4, and other players who can commit and are willing to stick it through, follow up, etc.
  9. Update: Your AIM is actually: 509260736@facebook.aol People should add that as a buddy!
  10. Best way to contact other people (and to be contacted) is via AIM. Sign up if you haven't already and let us know your AIM name! GO RANGERS! feel free to hit me up for a game if you see me on: kingraph
  11. Mike, Your AIM is actually: 509260736@facebook.aol This is what people should use to add a buddy. One issue that may be causing you not to connect with some folks is your AIM doesn't show up when you add a buddy "Mike Alonzi". I suspect that this has something to do with Facebook, because I couldn't see you on my buddy list until you contacted me first. My guess is that you've had to contact everybody first. For example, I see that you're online now, but when I added "Mike Alonzi" as a new buddy in a different group, it shows offline. I suggest signing up for a separate AIM account (perhaps Alonzi41?)...this may help.
  12. Nice...spreadsheet has been updated. That just leaves 94's favorite couple: Zalex: 2 forwards Freydey: 1 dman
  13. I'm also signing Jeff Beukeboom for $0.5M/yr for 5yrs
  14. Zalex had Jimmy Carson, so he just needs 2 F, and Hokkee still needs a backup G. List is now: Beavers: 2 forwards, 1 Dmen, 1 Goalie Zalex: 2 forwards Hokkee: 1 Goalie Freydey: 1 dman Here is a list of some undrafted free agents in each position that you may consider signing: Forwards Joe Nieuwendyk Steve Thomas Darren Turcotte Ulf Dahlen Patrick Poulin Rick Tocchet Mike Ricci Mike Ridley Dave Gagner Pelle Eklund Defense Jamie Macoun Teppo Numminen Gerald Diduck Bob Rouse Yves Racine Goalie Hrudey,Kelly Stauber,Robb Beaupre,Don Whitmore,Kay Roussel,Dominic
  15. Thanks for your concern DC. I'm actually fine, and I'm not worried that I'll be dropped. Not sure what the Blitz draft has to do with anything. Chaos/Halifax made the weekly checkpoint for Classic 6 games a week and I'm just trying to accomplish that. Since I haven't been able to get my games in with you/Zalex/Beavers over the last 5 weeks during my normal playing times, I thought I'd try to set up some times to play that work with our schedules.
  16. ggs Carse! Updated -- Dc/Zalex/Beavers left to play.
  17. I don't want to miss the 30 game checkpoint on the 23rd, so if you're on the list below, please AIM/PM me and let's try to some games in this week. I haven't been able to catch you guys on my normal playing schedules. I'm usually good M-F late nights (9pm EST after), or randomly on weekends. * Dcicon (NY Rangers) - 3 games ggs * Zalex (Dallas) - 5 games * Carse (Calgary) - 4 games ggs * Beavers (Winnipeg) - 4 games ggs GA
  18. I'm assuming this trade is okay? to sebe: brett hull niklas lidstrom doug bodger to hokkee: mike gartner phil houseley But there should be a trade deadline date, or something. At least a deadline to fill in your rosters, otherwise we start to fill them for you with a bunch of Mark Greig-like superstars (7wgt, 0/1 shot, 1 everything else).
  19. The division finals are set! East: KingRaph (1) vs Freydey (2) West: IceStorm (1) vs Carse (3) Not much else to report that hasn't been discussed already. Winner moves on to the Stanley Cup! Remember, home ice in the Stanley Cup will go to the team that had the most regular season points. Here are the finals seeds: 1. Kingraph (56) 2. IceStorm (42) 3. Freydey (40) 4. Carse (36) I think Frey and I will find a time this week to play -- as usual, if you don't think you'll be able to get your games in this week, just let me know. Oh, and if you can record your series, that'd be great. I'll be happy to process the vids. GOOD LUCK!
  20. Please, enough drama has already taken place and I don't think we need to walk down that path again. After many conversations/resolution attempts, I made a decision, and what's done is done. The best thing to do is to move on and play your games. I'd appreciate it if we can all do just that.
  21. NHL rules call it "off-side" http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26497 I think I use both actually, I never thought about it before. Now that I'm cognizant of it, I don't think I'll ever add the "s" again! You mean the great Inside NHL'94 Official Strategy Guide by the great Corey Sandler???
  22. I've updated my original post with the final info. Dallas is done.
  23. Houly HABS and Frey still need to make their 12th pick. Nonetheless, if it helps with the ROM, I can send the current rosters and players to someone electronically, just PM me. It won't have the preferred lineups though.
