  1. Last year, HABS/Zalex (summit organizers) grouped players into an "A" and "B" category and the rules were that the matches had to have equal levels. So only AA vs AA, AB vs AB, and BB vs BB. A few people were also placed into A/B category, meaning they can count for both. "A" players were known good 2v2 players who played frequently. "B" players were everyone else -- including "C" classic players. Not sure if that's the way they will set it up again, but Summit was open to all. If you like to play 2v2, you can sign up. See above explanation.
  2. Awww snap! Are we going to get to put our names, handedness and #'s in the ROM like last time?
  3. Yeah, the problem is the rankings assume each team, or coach plays in the same tournaments. Missing a season is tricky to fill in, but in Flasox's case, he came 1st and 4th the two seasons surrounding the missing season, so a filler 3rd place was assumed. I'm open to suggestions on how to deal with missing seasons...
  4. Updated OP with Spring'12. Below if Fall'11 for reference.
  5. TK, as you play more and more people in the community, you'll get an understanding of each person's character. If you told your story without mentioning the name, 95% of us would have guessed who you were referring to. Quitting before a game is over, making snide comments, etc. is classic dcicon. Naturally we try to set up leagues based on skill level, but there will always be someone who can challenge you to be better. Whoever wins B goes to A next season. Win C and you go to B. As for Witt being in C, you should go out there and win C, and then be in B next classic. I can surely understand not wanting to beat up new guys, so let's use the experience to mentor new players into the community. That's even more important than winning. Adding people is one of my favorite aspects of Classic. Like Plabax and TomKabs now, Sicarius and Wookiee a few seasons ago, me, Robbie, ProBob before, etc. I know having a good initial experience and even a type of "mentor" really helps. So I challenge you Witt to be that person for some of the new guys. All part of "growing the game" and that's awesome.
  6. Amazing 7 game series played with Plabax to get to the finals. We combined for over 10+ goals a game for 6 out of the 7. I got lucky. We were playing our series and Plabax was up 5-3 in game 6, with a little over a period to play. He had my number that night. Then, his computer crashes. So we had to finish today. I comeback to win game 6, in like a 3OT. Game 7 went my way. Had Plabax's computer not crashed the night before, I believe he wins. Vggs, all crazy close. Great season, great '94 bud in the community!
  7. Update: Added game summaries link. You can see a game summary of any game you submitted.
  8. I don't think I can swing another league now, but I'd come in as a replacement coach if needed.
  9. kingraph - You see this name, you think dirty. Think. Feel. Zalex.
  10. You'll see the stats update on the upload page. I'll also note what games I'm missing when I do the update. There's an overall player stats page, sorted by Pts/G. Unfortunately it's not sortable. Then I have a league leaders per game page, which shows top 10 Goals/G, Assists/G, Pts/G, ChkF/G, SOG/G, and +/- leaders. Then another league leaders page which is the same as per-game, except overall.
  11. I actually have all the games submitted except for the one Robbie mentioned and a Plabax/RWD game (6 Kingston @ 4 New Orleans). Will update again later in the week. Any chance Witt has it?
  12. Yep -- that's what I'm thinking too. At the very least, some published stat reports will be available and updated at regular intervals (just not automatically). I just gotta squeeze in some time over the next week or so to slap it together. Offline, my Excel extractor seems to be working surprisingly well and dumping the game/player stats into a database is quick. I want to see how far I can take Google Docs! You're welcome...this is also a fun learning project for me!

    Game Stitcher

bumping this thread for GDL 09! This is a great tool to preserve the game stats in case you desynch. I recommend anyone who is in a stats league to download and learn how to use it.
  14. Just a quick note to let you guys know that I AM working on this and should figure out how to publish the data out there in a short while. I've received 19 games so far. Here's a snapshot of the player stats: And here are the games I received: If you don't see your game and would like include your player stats, you can submit your savestates here: https://sites.google...2013savestates/ (pw: 2013) Cheers!
  15. Philadelphia has all the live tournies! With 2,411,890,551 bars in NY, you'd think ONE of them would have a '94 tournament.
  16. New York Daily News - New York, NY The New York Rangers head coach was outraged after last night's 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, screaming at the press conference, "2 seconds??? Really? I think it's pretty obvious coach kgman told Bob Bassen to go and knock out Sundin. And [bassen] only gets two minutes? What's with these refs???" The hit knocked out the Rangers star forward for the game and the Rangers could not recover. While Ray Ferraro played well, the team chemistry was missing. Lingering concussion symptoms were apparent in the next game as Sundin managed to tally up just 1 point, well below his season average. The only possible explanation was the hit the night before. The Garden crowd also took issue with the hit and started to replace the familiar "Potvin Sucks" chants heard at every Rangers game with "Bassen Sucks". The two teams can potentially meet again in the playoffs, but it's too early to tell what the playoff scenarios will look like now. Asked if he plans any retaliatory actions should the two teams meet again, coach KingRaph said, "Of course not. We play fair. It's not like I would tell Gord Hynes to check Lemieux in the head if he decides to come down the center of the ice" - GGS
  17. IceStorm had to leave the '94 indefinitely, so Kupuck advances. We all wish IceStorm well and welcome his return should he decide to come back one day. I should get my games in with BoKnows tonight or tomorrow, and the winner plays Plabax in the semi-finals. That leaves Frey/Wookiee. Were you guys able to contact each other and set up a time? Let us know. Winner plays Kupuck.
  18. Can petejudge confirm? Either way, the site is up and you can log and confirm these scores yourselves now.
  19. Jbalicki posted the opposite scores here: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/14645-snes-c-chi-vs-buff/ Which is correct? Either way, you guys can log and confirm the scores as the site is updated now.
  20. Who was home team here? I can log it if you like, but note that the site is up, so you guys can log this score yourselves now too.
  21. updated, thanks. It's actually right on the download, so that's good.
  22. Note on the A teams...BoKnows should have WPG, Vocally Caged LA, and hokkee PIT. Sorry for any confusion.
