  1. Yup only (SNES). Genesis '94 is not as good as SNES '94.
  2. I'm #1 Game: 10 minute periods. Offsides on. I'll put in $20.00. you put up $10.00 And Case Is really good also. Edit: well one of the best. I'm in the Top 5 in world for sure.
  3. Hi Mario94 So you play SNES NHL94 and like to play as the Canucks? If so great, maybe we can meet up someday with Case and make some great plays. Or we can play online one day. If you don't play as the Canucks or just want to play 1 on 1. I would love to meet up with you and kick your ass 10 min. periods offsides on. You put up $10 I'll put up $40.
  4. NHL93PA (SNES) had great slap shots that rocked the goalie back into the net yet EA decided for NHL94 (SNES) to have weaker Slap shots yet it improved so much with great goalie control, great game control, great passing and great deking the goalie. I just think most hockey games have slap shot ability it should be about making great passing plays. I wish the slap shots were harder. I believe the ultimate version still hasn't been made with harder slap shots for the Super Nintendo, fake shots, block shots, drop passes, more blood and fighting.Fighting like Blades Of Steel or Hit the Ice. EA WAKE UP AND MAKE THE ULTIMATE VERSION!!! The play making ability should be the determining factor not slap shots!!!!!!
  5. Ken have you played the NHL94 game on the Super Nintendo system or just online? Super Nintendo wins for fun factor and game control. Not even close why would you want a game where passes are inconsistent. It would be great to have a cult of 5 great '94 players playing NHL94 (SNES) as the Vancouver Canucks.
  6. Whatever this whole gameplay thing.I haven't played online, hopefully sometime next year. I've playing both systems.Super Nintendo gameplay is better. This crap about the gameplay of Super Nintendo being delayed from the frame rate or the hitting sucks. Whatever. What's that about? I believe system versus system: SNES WINS!!!!!!!
  7. Smozoma Hustle What do you mean hustle? Pushing down, going right to left and scoring a cross crease goal is so cheap. James-uh Kim-uh I avoid doing it and I certainly wouldn't put it as a highlight. Get the offsides on!!!
  8. Hey Case at the 55 sec. mark of smozoma video he scores a James-uh Kim-uh goal. Loop in the corner and then go from one side of the crease to the other. The skate across goal. I'd be the goalie and stack the pads and rob his ass. In league play cross creases it's all good but in exibition play let's try and make some nice passing plays.
  9. Cool goal scored with the goalie. I like the play when you rock the guy and when he's laying on the ice, you shoot the puck at him. So funny. Some plays: So offside.
  10. SNES NHL'94 Hits and posts SNES NHL'94 Goalie interference goal
  11. What are you talking about Smozoma Check out the Super Nes hit in the multimedia video section Posted Aug. 14 2004. Who sent in that play Evan? Not that I don't have hardcore hit plays like that. (It sounds hardcore). Well you can hear it. But the video isn't showing up. Evan what's up? Smozoma Comment: SNES has better passing, too -- it does get annoying on the Sega when your guys fumble 7 passes in a row (I had a game recently where my passing was 2/21(9%) over the first 2 periods with Detroit). Case closed Case. Super Nintendo Wins!!! bindi.bmp
  12. NHL94 (SNES) Controls. (Y) button flips the pass / clear the puck and holds and hooks the player.. (X) button picks the goalie. And when your the goalie you can: Push: (A) button to kick save. Push: (X) button to poke check. Push (Y) button to dive out at the guy. Or (Y) button to flip pass or clear the puck or B button to pass the puck if you have the puck with the goalie. L and R button picks the last defenceman back. I agree good point Case. Case wants the L and R button to be who ever is on the screen at the time. So it could be left and right winger control also with defence control. You Genesis fans talking about graphics and sound. Stop it!!!You sound stupid. Whatever. Listen to a CD like: Van Halen or old Metallica or Slayer or Led Zeppelin Kick ass.
  13. Bo let's see some highlights. What does Bo know? He know's he's playing the wrong system. Ha ha ha. Fine Bo. It's a matter of opinon. 3 buttons. Ha ha ha THE SUPER NINTENDO CONTROLLER. THE MOST COMFORTABLE CONTROL EVER CREATED!!!!!!!!!! AND IF ONLY THEY ADDED FAKE PASS, DROP PASS, FAKE SHOT AND BLOCK SHOT AND INSTANT REPLAY IN THE NET AND REVERSE INSTANT REPLAY LIKE GENESIS. EA: WAKE UP!!!!
  14. Nice Sureshot. Me and Case are looking forward to seeing your highlights. SNES NHL '94 Flip goal scored on a breakaway by #10 Pavel Bure SNES NHL'94 Flip goal scored by Dave Babych on a breakaway
  15. I'd like to see more Super Nintendo and Genesis goals online and see what game has better gameplay. The dekes and passing and goalie control is better on SNES. So funny: Taken from: The NHL'94 experiment. Case to Clockwise:Your ultimate test, is for me, flawed. I don't look at it the same way you do. Clockwise's (flawed) Test: : Clockwise #1. Genesis version has harder hits: the hits in the Snes version appear "nurfed", for instance: when a player gets decked and injured in the snes version he just sort of lays down as if he was in a lazy boy recliner. 1 point for Genesis Case: Harder hits? Have you not nailed a guy so hard that you go flying back halfway across the ice? That kicks sooo much ass. Try pressing the 'Y' button after. That is so hilarious. Clockwise #2. Genesis version has a siren to signify a goal: How was this left out? Someone really dropped the ball for the Snes version. 1 point for Genesis. Case: What are you talking about? Turn on the sound and listen for yourself. Also look behind the net when you score. That red thing spinning around is called a GOAL LIGHT. Clockwise #3. Snes has better hat trick animation: when the hats fly on the ice it looks way better on the Snes version. 1 point for Snes. Case: Whatever. Clockwise #4. Genesis has better intro music: Best song ever, I want to be buried to this tune. The Snes intro music is cheesy, plus you have to wait for the puck animation before you can start the game. 1 point for Genesis. Case: Also whatever. Personally I never have the sound on. I just listen to some Coverdale/Page or other kick ass music. But there are some who care, but again, whatever. Clockwise #5. Genesis has reverse replays: It's cool to check out a sweet goal from an opposite angle. Considering the Snes version was released after the Genesis version, there is no excuse why the Snes version doesn't have it. 1 point for Genesis Case: Gotta give you this one, kick ass. Clockwise #6. Genesis has highlights from other games: kick ass feature, I love watching these. Even though it's a novelty thing, it still rules. 1 point for Genesis. Case: So does SNES. Are you ok? JEFF ADD ON: Yeah other game highlights are shown in the playoffs figure it out. Clockwise #7. Snes players have blades on their skates: Genesis skaters float on magical booties. Genesis crew had 3 tries and still didn't add blades to skates on Genesis untill 95. 1 point for Snes. Case: More nitpicking. Give me better play control anyday. Clockwise #8. Snes has better arena SFX: When the puck caroms off the glass and stuff like that it sounds better on Snes. 1 point for Snes. Case: Again minor. If we'd all cared about graphics and sound so much we'd be playing the newer s**t games. Clockwise #9. Snes players have tape on their sticks: 1 point for Snes. Case: You can SEE that? Clockwise #10. Genesis rinks have better center ice logos: Snes ones look like they were made with a Fisher Price "My First Airbrush kit". 1 point for Genesis Case: See #8 Clockwise #11. Genesis version has better game play: Mostly due to the better frame rate. This is what makes or breaks any game. it's the most important part of the experiment which is why the winner of this issue is awared 2 points. 2 points for Genesis. Case: I'll get back to this one. Clockwise #12. Genesis players have faces: Snes players have no emotion cause they have no f**king faces.. stupid. 1 point for Genesis. Case: Again with the graphics! Clockwise #13. Snes has better ice color: 1 point for Snes. Case: What can I say? Its very minor, I don't know why they both weren't just white. Clockwise #14. Snes version hase better bench graphics: Nice touch, still they could have added a goal judge to light the lamp. 1 point for Snes. Case: Enough with the graphics already!! Clockwise #15. Genesis goalies skate: On Snes they hover around the ice. 1 point for Genesis. Case: Uh, ok? I love the goalie contol on the SNES. Without it I wonder just how long this game would have lasted. As for hovering around the ice, I thought it was the Genesis version that didn't have skates! But at least this is a concern of some substance. And finally... Clockwise #11. Geneis version has better game play: Mostly due to the better frame rate. This is what makes or breaks any game. it's the most important part of the experiment which is why the winner of this issue is awared 2 points. 2 points for Genesis. Case: Quite simply, I dispute this. I diagree, I just can't believe it. Not you, I believe that you really believe in your game, but about the two games playability. Are we all so brainwashed into our inherent systems that we cannot see otherwise? I used to think this. But not now. I've given the Genesis version many tries over the years. Its not the same at all. It just feels wrong. I can't make any plays I want to make, the passing is unreliable, the control seems jittery, the whole feel is just wrong. Alot of you guys out there may simply prefer the feel of the Genesis, but for me, its play control is very limiting. Why is this? Its simply a different game. I'd be willing to let it fall into second best territory, but who wants to play the second best game in the world when everything you could want in a game(control-wise obviously) is here in the SNES. They are two very different games and always will be. I could play for the rest of my life and never get the same type of goals from the Genesis as I can from the SNES. Just look at these plays again if you have to: (shameless plug). Prove me wrong! Genesis guys start recording your goals. I want results. NHL 94 highlight menagerie extravaganza and NHL94 highlights 2003 Olliz remix (NHL 94), I'm sorry, it just didn't do it for me. Not to be mean, or to show off for that matter. It is simply not NHL94 to me. OK for what they are, but no 94.
  16. The Super NIntendo is the better version and I've played them both many times. I don't think the Super Nintendo is easier it seems like more of a challenge there are more buttons for the Super Nintendo. The Genesis game flow isn't as smooth as Super Nintendo. Left and Right defence control Genesis doesn't have it. X button to be the goalie a lot better than having to push two buttons at once like the Genesis. *weird*. I'm a huge fan of Swingers the movie and if Vince likes the NHL94 for Genesis I give it respect.Even thou he scored a cheap behind the net come out front goal with Jeremy Roenick. But if anybody trys that online I'll pick my goalie and rob you ass!! NHL94 has complete control like bubble table hockey. Blade Of Steel: still rocks: yet to deke it in you have to pass it into the net. PS2 NHL HITS PRO: I liked the graphic and faceoffs but the goalie control sucks. If they could join both NHL94 and HITS PRO.What a game that would be. It would be cool to add music during the whistle breaks like I thought the next PS2 NHL HITS PRO was going to do but it ended up not ever coming out with a game. What gives? I wish me and Case and a few other's could work for EA and improve on NHL94.
  17. What a jersey so much character the Vancouver V. I hope one day when the Canucks go back to the old school stick logo they wear the '82 V and '94 skate jersey a few times a year. The Canucks may need more Canadian blood. Dave Nonis you should have got Scott Niedermayer for the Canucks. He's amazing. Orange and Yellow so pajama. So Tough. Blood looks good on it. The 90's LA Kings jersey with Gretzky looked really sharp jersey. I'm surprized they don't go back to that.. And Gary Bettman smarten up and make the white jersey's home again. Like Linden wants!! You've sold enough of the dark jersey for the owners. The crowd looks so cool white. Why would you want the crowd to be dark? Sure Calgary with their home red jersey they would be mad with the change but (good) hahah!! Cheapo Otto kicked it in in '89.
  18. What a sad day when NHL'95 came out. The NHL'95 graphics for the players were worse. The graphics for the fans in the seats around the rink were worse. The gameplay was too fast. Their legs were too long. The instant replay was way too fast. (What is with the big yellow penalty boxes?) SNES NHLPA'93 had hard slap shots yet EA decided not to have as hard of slapshots for SNES NHL'94. Why? Who's fault is this? EA WAKE UP AND MAKE THE ULTIMATE VERSION!! Only little changes were needed like drop pass, block pass, block shot, fake pass and fake shot. They should have brought back the blood and fighting like Blades of steel or Hit the ice. They should have improved the face-offs with close in action like PS2 NHL HITZ PRO. PS2 NHL HITZ PRO was a great game yet the manual goalie sucked and more deke goals should go in. It looked like NHL HITZ PRO was going to have a future music setting where you could add a few of your favorite tunes to play during play stoppages but MIDWAY SPORTS didn't even come out with another hockey video game. I emailed MIDWAY SPORTS to inquire why they haven't come out with another hockey video game but I didn't get a response. http://www.mobygames.com/game/nhl-hitz-pro http://www.midway.com/rxpage/MidwayHome.html NHL HITZ PRO gameplay http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/nhlhitz...ag=result;img;0 Thank you Genesis NHLPA'93 Pragrammer: Jim Simmons Genesis NHL'94 Pragrammer: Mark Lesser Genesis NHLPA'93 Design Adapters: Michael Brook, Scott Orr and Richard Hilleman Genesis NHLPA'93 and NHL'94 Producer: Michael Brook Genesis NHLPA'93 Assistant Producer: Steve Matulac Genesis NHL'94 Assistant Producer: Kevin Hogan Genesis NHL'94 Executive Producer: Scott Orr Genesis NHLPA'93 Technical Directors: Scott Cronce and Tom Debry Genesis NHL'94 Technical Directors: Rob Harris and Lon Meinecke Thank You Mark Lesser for your Programming for Genesis NHL'94 because without you the SNES NHL'94 clone would not have been made as great. I understand SNES NHL'94 Frames Per Second was lower than Genesis yet I think SNES NHL'94 gameplay doesn't look like the guy is teleporting from one place to another at all because of the lower Frames Per Second. It looks nice and smooth. The SNES NHL'94 FPS was 20 out of a max. 60. SNES NHL'95 was bumped up to 45 FPS but really do I notice the player and his 45 different postions that makes him move more smoothly no. Mark Lesser I know your more proud of NHL'94 than of NHL'95 and look at this website so post a message or message me 1on1 so you can explain why for the drastic software change. Was it Rob Martyn, Scott Probin or Michael Brook bossing you around wanting these changes? Was it Marketing telling you to change it up? NHL'95 and NHL'96 are similar so why didn't you make NHL'95 similar to NHL'94? I understand it's been 13 years since '94 and you can't go back in time and leave the NHL94 software the way it was but you can bring back this great '94 software and reinventing it. I know Mark Lesser you probably didn't give a rats ass about Super Nintendo NHL'94 but of course make a SNES version because I've played Genesis and I just don't feel it. I think the SNES NHL'94 guys that copied your work and tweaking it did a great job. Thanks SNES NHL94 Producer and Designer Michael Brook, Assistant Producers Scott Probin and Ken Sayler, Executive Producer Scott Orr , Development Producer and Technical Director Rob Harris. Thank You SNES NHL'94 Programmers Amory Wong , Robert White, Rod Reddekopp, Eric Kiss , Bill Fowler and David Galloway. The SNES NHL'94 Graphic look great thanks Athena Baxevanakis, Laura Parr and Mike Smith . Mark Lesser interview http://www.digitpress.com/library/intervie...ark_lesser.html SNES NHL'94 and NHL'95 is a clone of Genesis NHL'94 and NHL'95. So the people that worked on the Genesis NHL'95 are to blame because the SNES guys just followed what the Genesis guys did. Why didn't they use the '94 software and just change a few little things? It looked like NHL'95 started from scratch and just couldn't get it right. ________________ SNES NHL'95 _______________________________SNES NHL'96______________
  19. I think the Canucks are pretty good or is that because I play as them.
  20. Baker Kudelski Case we made them great.
