I set a new experimental Ranking table based on experience and activity. I think this ranking is a good representation of the current potential of the NHL'94 players. I used the formula as follow : Exp based on PTC + 10% bonus per game played + Malus of 10% for season inactivity. And another Malus dependent to the maximum level in which a player was registered. GA for Classic A, GDL or Blitz A. Malus 0 GB for Classic B, VHL or Blitz B. Malus -200 GC for Classic C. Malus -300 SA for Classic A, SDL or Dynasty. Malus 0 SB for Classic B. Malus -200 SC for Classic C. Malus -300 Here are the results set as November 2016 (starting from the GDL XII, Feb 2015). NHL'94 EXP Ranking November 2016 * I haven't found orangeblack92 in any league (from GDL XII until today) and the records from Driver3k1, chefstar88, donnybrook, monkeyjuice1702 and sublime are not present for any unknown reason.

Sorry, but I have really something to say here. We had a discussion before about the B level, and we suggested that the B competition should be protect, to give a chance to B players to win a cup one day, or at least having a decent record season. I played Texas in the VHL league, I know his level and he play in A this season for some good reason. He shouldn't be authorize to play in B. (Nothing to say about the guy, it's just a level question here). All season It's the same thing. And I have this feeling that you finally don't care, you are the King on your throne. I think about living definitively the Classic competition. I'm tired. Nobody cares anyway, just play your games everybody and be happy.

the reason of the playoffs rom is because I want to try the playoffs mode. It's just that. Do you think the games are the same in regular season and in playoffs ? I have the feeling that the IA react better in playoffs. When I play the CPU in playoffs he is better and score more goals that in the regular season mode. Maybe it's just my imagination. Good to read, same feeling, I really appreciated the stability. For the window, press ESC and you are in full screen, and choice your resolution too in the video setting, there is a lot of other option for the visual you want. The "TV screen look" and the "sort of blurry" is just the native setting I think. The games were just too slow, that's true. My setting for the connection was : Bandwidth Med, Latency 116 (1 rank under the ping) maybe this setting are wrong and the cause of the slow motion feeling. I know that my actual connection is not the best in the world and with the distance we can't do miracle. But with a good setting maybe. Can you try an High Bandwidth setting with Atomic ? or less latency ? What's sure, is that Kega runs the game slower that Gens. (In reality, it's Gens who runs the game at an higher speed that the normal, there was a post about this fact on the forum). In global, the games were very tactical and a good experience. It was very hard to find a way through the defense, the first games ends 1-0. Is it because the games was slow ? or because we were playing in the playoffs mode ? What I'm sure is that the goalies were very good and the defense men very well placed. So I'm impatient to play the rest

Interesting. So what do you think is the good way. I'm in Europe, sometimes in Nord Africa. In the past I used +1 and the games was always fine for me. But on the other side, players said there were lags. So I made some tests and apparently with 0 the games seem to be more playable by my opponent. But I have more frequent desynch . What do you recommend ? +1, 0, or near UB ?

I'm almost sure the saves are 100 % compatible. We have played 1 or 2 games in the past on Kega and uploaded the save in a gens tournament. Never had problem.

I was not so easy to edit the playoffs tree. There is a part of aleatory in the selection, so it can take long until you find the good selection. So I prefer to edit a rom for each round. Just select the good team 1, your opponent is automatically selected. Just by careful on which team is at home on the top of the screen, the team 1 is not automatically selected at home, retry until it's good. Here is the rom Fusion Cup round 1.bin . The Fusion Cup start officially today 28/11/16 3pm EST and you have 2 weeks until 11/11/16 3pm EST, to play the first round. Of course you don't need to wait the last moment. Good Luck !

This is good idea, but this tournament is just a test, so we will be free to play other tournament or league in the future, I have a plan for the start of the next year, with a league with some news rules. Based on line change and Offside. Calendar with clear checkpoint. And with a Gens and Fusion mix, the home team will be free to use the emulator he wants. So for this tournament, I don't want to surcharge the Classic calendar.

I found a way, for 6 team there is no problem, even for 16 team, it match. My only problem is for the home and away, I don't find the logic of the selection, the team 1 is not always at home even with the good tree combination.

ok, editing the playoff tree is more difficult that I have imagined. Even with Nose, I need to find a solution to easily select the home team and the away team. I have an idea and I will work on that tomorrow.

You can take control of the Goalkeeper faster with the Y button (you need to map the pad correctly) instead of holding B, like on SNES. And you are free to use your preferred method.

Any other suggestion to set in the future. A "goalie out" button. At last minutes of the game if you are behind on score, it would be cool to play 6 vs 5 on the ice without going through the menu, and use the surprise effect !

My interest is to play other coaches with competition, not matter the size of the league. I prefer to play regularly than waiting. The motivated coaches play there games in 2 or 3 weeks after the start. And then we wait for 1 or 2 month until the playoffs with no regular games. Just exhib. Not the funniest way to play. When I start the playoffs I generally loosed 20 or 30% of my skills.
