'92 Classic Season 2 is going to experiment with a set weekly schedule. http://www.nhl92.com/2015springs2.htm We have 10 teams in Major. Each team will play each other 4 times (36 game season). You are expected to play only 4 games per week, but is with a designated opponent. Season will last 9 weeks and then 1 week for each Playoff round. (12 weeks total) You may always play ahead if you wish. Major Playoffs All 10 teams qualify. 1-6 place advance straight to the Quarter-Finals. 7-10 and 8-9 place teams play a 1 game wild card game to get in the Quarter-Finals. Q-Finals Best of 5 Semi's Best of 5 Stanley Cup Finals Best of 7 We will have 12 teams in the Farm League (4 coaches) Each Coach will coach 3 teams. Each team will play 10 games (30 game season for each coach). You are expected to play 3 Farm games per week in addition to your 4 major games. Season will last 9 weeks and then 1 week for each Playoff round. (11 weeks total) Farm Playoffs Each Division Winner will qualify for Playoffs. Before Ron Barr was hired for his dashing good looks, the scouting reports were actually accurate. I noticed as I edited the Penguins down to earth that the scouting report actually showed the changes. Remember in '93 on Ron Barr intro screen which is cool, all the info about team ratings is just fluff and useless. In '94 Ron is always wrong about who is Hot and Cold. The '92 scouting Reports were accurate. Oilers vs Pens Match up with Default Line 1 for both teams. Oilers vs Pens Match up with Pens Line 2 now starting and Line 1 moved down to Line 3. Look at the Pens Line Depth after this change.

You only get one move. I would want Neely at LW so he is not off the ice when you are short handed. Hodge #10 is a Center and so is Sweeney #20 so you can't make that move. and so is #19 Dave Poulin. You got a great (the Best) team. If you sub out Christian #27, Bob Carpenter #11 is your best wing on the bench. If you want more D (weight) you could sub Hodge or Sweeney for Janney, But Janney is talented It is '92. Don't over think it just Mash C.

You have a solid line up probably the most talent of anyone with the Penguins down to Line 2. Bourque the Beast and Wesley on D Janney at C Neely another Beast on RW Dave Christian on LW Christian is the weak link, but the edit you should make IMO is moving Neely to LW. If you stick with them and earn edits for later seasons. Bobby Carpenter is strong on your Bench and so is Bob Sweeney. You got it. I am not going to make a bunch of different roms that are constantly getting updated to like version 47. I posted a preseason rom above and that will serve as the only official pre-season rom posted until the season. It has the Penguins with Line 2 and my one roster move with the Oilers. I will also probably move Fuhr to my starting goalie, but that is not in the preseason rom. Brutus and I exied last night with a rom we made for him to try out some of his edits. Everyone can do their own in NOSE to test different players. I will then post a Regular Season rom, once we get finalized.

Darko, I will move Joseph to starting goalie. That is free. Then, You must choose between: A. moving Hull to LW and that would put #10 Lowry at RW. OR B. putting BrindAmour in at LW and keeping Hull on the RW.

The response to this league has been fantastic. Thank you for all the feedback. The OP has been amended again. The main changes are: #1 The Anti-Dynasty Rule is simplified. #2 The Goalie Change Courtesy Rule has been removed. I will still observe this, but will not make it a rule. #3 The Brutus and Raph rules have been combined into 1 roster edit. I am embarassed to say this is exactly what Brutus originally proposed. So everyone gets one edit. That is it. I wanted to allow some room to improve teams but maintain the overall classic simple feel of 92.

You've got First Pick who you taking for season 2? Calgary or Boston? I'm betting.

Great point. Updated OP again. The thinking was only best 8 could compete but we may find differently. Counting on Spring Classic!
