  1. I'm such a tool, I thought i had 10 am tomorrow not 10 pm, damn.. .just got back from poker. And I missed picking my Zhitnik, double f**k. I will take Niklas Lidstrom.
  2. That was awesome! I've seen the puck stick at the corner of the goal for a little bit but never that long where another player had to come knock it loose... and put it in for that matter. Nice one Jesus!
  3. do you know where I can download the Rom? I would like to check it out. I looked at Romnation.net but it wasn't there.
  4. I can't tell you how happy I was when I discovered this site as well. I will say I never thought of myself as the best in the world but definitely a strong player. The one thing I discovered when I first got on here is that even though it matters that you're a good player, there's a lot of different strategies that everyone uses, and most strategies aren't the ones you're accustomed to playing. I think the best players I've played here, and there are a lot, are the ones who know how to play against any style. I can't speak for the SNES competition but I found that this has been a very humbling experience through the Gens oppenents I've encounterd so far. Good luck and if you ever decide to go the Gens route, hit me up for an exhibition.
  5. I would love to play against some of the guys from Finland. I do hear they are some of the stongest players around. I'm always up for a good challenge with a worthy opponent. It would definitely let me know where I need improvement in my game. Does anyone know the server that's best to play those guys from the other side of the pond? Ahola, I'm Ericanthony76 on AIM if you ever want to get an exhilbition sometime.
  6. I definitely agree with the passing aspect. Offsides is more like real hockey, however, what's not like real hockey in 94 is passing when your too close to other players.... just doesn't happen without the puck bouncing off the end of their stick. It's nice to be able to spread the ice for better passing.
  7. Good evening my fine feathered friends... The Boston Bruins are proud to announce Brian Leetch as their 3rd choice in the draft.
  8. Click on My Controls located near the top of this page. Then on the left hand side, click on Edit Avatar Settings. Then you can begin browsing for what you would like to add.
  9. I agree with you on the run and gun gameplay. However, I think a lot of those passes from the goalie to the opponents blue line are often intercepted. As long as you have a team with decent defensive awareness and you make it a point to get back on D after your shots, I think a lot of the run and gun game can be prevented. But I also like the breakaway game to an extent on the D side of the puck b/c it gives you those one on ones with the goalie... and there's enough time where you have to think about switching to the goalie and commiting to your oppenents breakaway. With offsides on, there's a lot of bunching up around the blue line and I agree with Rocky's comment about not being able to control the cpu guys from flying offsides.
  10. So you're saying you don't have the confidence in yourself to call your own shots? You will pay dearly for your self doubt during the season. ;-)
  11. I still think the offsides rule should be up for debate. I've been practicing with them on and I can't believe anyone would say that offsides doesn't slow up the pace of the game. The teams bunch up around the blue lines and it just seems to mess up the feel of the game, especially when you can't spread out the ice. Any chance this discussion can be reopened?
  12. I look forward to joining this group of extraordinary players in some good matches to come. Habs, thanks for having me!
  13. I can sub in for Crossbar. Whoever his partner is, let me know if you want to do that. No reason that team should go to waste.
  14. CW, you are the man, thanks a lot for getting me this sprite so soon! That was a lot quicker than I thought. Hope all is well! Thanks again, Eric
  15. 2.5) The Bean Town Bruins (the hockey team formerly known as Detroit) selects Mike Gartner.
  16. That's the one I used yesterday when I chatted with him briefly
  17. It's jj2k's turn (1.17). If this is up for debate, I say replace jj2k with someone else. We're already in our third day and haven't made it through round 1. This process is already going to take a long time, we need guys who are ready to draft.
  18. I was wondering the same thing... I haven't seen him online yet. Does anyone know him?
  19. 1.16 - Detroit Rock City chooses Wayne "The Butcher" Gretzky
  20. Sorry to pepper this thread but i had a quick question since i've never been involved with a draft selection league... how long do you expect the draft process to take?
  21. Dmitri, could you also put my screen name from here with my AIM so people know just to clear up any confusion (Ericanthony76)?
  22. Hey Clockwise, Belfour at home would be awesome. I really appreciate that. Again, great work!!!
  23. Hey Clockwise, those are awesome. Would love to have one with a goalie showing the glove save.
