  1. That's almost $20 worth of TV's right there. Looks like it's going to be a great event!
  2. We do those as well http://www.segathon.com/the-busch-league-games/ Do a bunch of different games but make sure they are over quick. So if we did a baseball game we only go 3 innings. Can also do speed runs / 1st to die with Mario etc as one player games. Sometimes its fun to pull an obscure old shitty game that no one likes to play like Robocop for NES and watch people struggle and die quickly. Also anything with a 4 way player is better.
  3. Yeah those 4 ways are pretty tricky with all the different sega controllers that are made. Kingraph is right with the mode but sometimes that doesn't even work. If my memory servers me right, last time I did the 4 way I had to put the 6 button in the 3 player slot to make it work.
  4. I've done the battery change. Soldering is way too hard. I just duck taped it in there. As long as you treat the game nice and don't toss it around the save stays. You do need to get one of those security bits. I've been flirting with getting one of those megadrives. Does the game play exactly the same or is it a little faster/slower?
  5. Sounds awesome. Doubt I can make it but will start saving my Loonies just in case.
  6. How do I upvote to Smoz and Mikey on this forum? Bittersweet but I think Mikey's doc is going to snuff out all other NHL 16 bit iterations with this movie making 95 a footnote. Going to have to start playing 94. Who's going to be my jedi master to train me in the 94 darkside.....Yes 94's the darkside
  7. Article is about Tecmo Super Bowl. But Dave gives NHL 94 some love http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/07/06/tecmo-super-bowl-nfl-video-games-nintendo
  8. Here's a work around to fix the streaming problem https://twitter.com/segathon/status/732268343172861953 Be sneaky with Fam and get a QoS (Quality of Service) router. You change the bandwidth to limit Netflix and allocate it to the needed computers for NHL. When Netflix is constantly buffering and fam complains, just shrug your shoulders and play dumb and remind them not to interrupt you during a "league game".
  9. if you like WWF arcade games try Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for PS2. Their used to be a site devoted to it but looks like its down now. Plays a lot like those old arcade games. I download a bunch of rosters 80 WWF, 90 WCW, old AWA and even old NEW Pro Wrestling rosters.
  10. Working on getting a car load of guys to head to GB. Should be a grand ol time. Just better glue in those 94 carts into the sega or you may see a 95 in them at some point
  11. Wilts Shut up and Ram gave me carpal. 1. Tecmo Super bowl NES 2. NHL 95 GENS 3. Baseball Stars NES 4. Dusty Diamonds All Star Softball NES 5. NBA Jam Arcade/Gens/phone I use when I poop 6. Mike Tysons Punch out 10. n64 AKI Wrestling series Honorable mentions NCAA Footbal Ps2 Evander Holyfield Real Deal Boxing Gens NBA LIVE 95 gens Hoops NES Arch Rivals NES NHL hits ps2 series
  12. Bandwith is killing me, used to be in a few tecmo leagues but I can't kick the whole family off to play. And yes I do have chickens along with a menagerie of other critters, here are the geese my kids raised. They were cute followed them around like dogs, until they got taller than the kids and started to bite them. Now they live in the freezer.
  13. Yeah I've live by that code too. Craziest interruption I had was when a stray dog raided our chicken coop.
  14. PROTIP: I prefer the 6 button controller for self-flagellation as the 3 button one is too heavy. Good stuff Clockwise
  15. Awesome. My favorite player back in the day!
  16. Good Post Brutus I'll take Housley every time. I've never given much credit to Awareness Ratings.
  17. Yeah I'd go on Ebay. Make sure to go used, the new ones either don't work or break pretty quick. I'd get a original system while your at it, I have not tried the retron but some of those new sega emulators stink as well. The one I bought could not even handle NHL and controllers broke pretty quick. FYI the "Best" sega are the sega 1's that say "High Definition Graphics" they are said to have better processors inside. Sega started to go with cheaper parts later on. Sad part is all this retro stuff is getting spendy. You used to be able to get sega stuff for peanuts, now they cost more like organic cashews.
  18. this is too creepy, ill be on my parents floor curled up in a ball. Admin please lock
  19. Oh I posted a youtube video of the theme song, but looks like it did not work.....or its all in my head.
