  1. there is a SNES editor that works well as long as you don't shorten your roster before shortening your lines. the newest version is many years old. it doesn't do graphics beyond uniforms. there is also a very detailed ROM mapping thread. read around there to advance your understanding.
  2. thanks, bud. expect an increase in traffic.
  3. yeah, score-and-pull is fun, but then you need to plan out your victory margins to not use them all up.
  4. yeah, that is much different than I am looking for. thank you for explaining it!
  5. I have issues with being patient while learning new things. I essentially retired from learning decades ago, out of fear that I would have more trouble with humans if I didn't cap myself off and focus on happiness. I am a bit autistic -- that is probably related. I am frustrated that corsica isn't a website like behindthenet, but is instead a program that generates spreadsheet files for offline use. shall I let that barrier frustrate me? yep. stop me? I hope not. I am also irrationally frustrated by the teased help of "it is there, but called something else that I could just declare, but..." if it is relative plus/minus, I shall grow to overstand, as that data set is the key. the others would be awesome, but a lack of them might be sloppily overcome. surely Chara is keeping Carlo afloat, right? regular plus/minus rates Carlo around a ninety and I just do not believe that is fair to the guys who are better but aren't paired with stretch. relativity is crucial for me. quality of competition shifts everybody a bit, as does zone progress, but I have to start with that all-important one. I don't know how other ROMmers do it, but... I want my toy back!
  6. spreadsheets infuriate me in an unjustifiable rage. I do my math by hand. I don't see any of those statistics. I am frustrated. which are there?
  7. based on your image above, I need not bother as it seems to be full of those garbage shot-based corsi and fenwick ratings, and it seems to be lacking those data points that I am after.
  8. "save .csv file" link is not an ad for a scam? huh. no idea how to .csv.... thank you.
  9. corsica site seems to be a compilation of dead links. are you finding these statistics there somehow?
  10. I tweaked my formulae to plug and play with crucial advanced statistics that I pulled from behindthenet.ca before it stopped updating. the guy does not plan to redo the code that automated that project from the old nhl.com data dumps. I am desperately seeking current data. I want relative plus/minus, quality of competition, zone progress/loss for each current NHL player. please advise if you can help in any way. thank you for your time.
  11. I feel like we should do something. it is lame that nobody is doing it. there is no feeling like seeing these pixels. I so badly wish that we had a real hacker on our team that I would pay to add one able to expand to 32.
  12. I made a scrubs (all 25s) versus stars (95ish) or allstars (all 100s) ROM... and it still wasn't hard enough. no crease crashes, no deke shots. closer...
  13. awesome. that sheet music should be forwarded to every organist in the league. somebody get on that!
  14. ah, yeah. I wonder how that is coded and if it could be relatively easily tweaked.
  15. yeah... maybe not the canceled penalty, though -- I forget.
  16. another game making community I use has "on the green" in the same vein. they have the (expandable) first paragraph showing it at the top of the homepage and link to it from the message board. this one is already leaps and bounds better, using links and feeling factual but... informal without seeming cringeworthy. this is great. linking to the 32 will push it over the edge. it is great to see the revival! things looked pretty bleak when I checked in recently and I can feel comfortable retracting my expressed grave concerns for the future of passionate interest in progress hereabouts. thank you.
  17. content pulled by google!? lame, google.
  18. an assist on a penalty shot... wow. it would be cool to see a screenshot of that.
  19. oh, bud, it has been years since I opened the SNES editor and years before that since I went into the Genesis tiles/sprites, but generally you can find the "D," "C," "R," "L," #s, stars, arrows and erase them in Tile Layer Pro, leaving the rest of what you want to have shown. maybe see if you can find any of my Genesis hacks they could be compared to original games. I am thinking I have a computer here somewhere with some files like an NHL '91/'92 file with a change like that and a Genesis NHL '94 file I never finished due to profile picture crashes. I tried similar stuff on that. I definitely did a LOT of such removals in my SNES stuff, so that would be something we could replicate pretty easily if needed.
  20. you definitely can edit which details appear below the players in NHL '94. all of the on-ice icons are relatively easily found and altered in the code.
  21. cool. holler if/when you are set up. thank you!
  22. incoming! sent. my plan is to carry some to hand out after conversations go there and also post them in appropriate public and private spaces in my travels. if my Stick Zelda game ever gets completed, I plan to make cards for http://trudatmangames.blogspot.com to use similarly. I imagine that, if I end up making a ROM this season, I would scribble http://ninetyflow.blogspot.com on the backs. again, thank you for being active. this is good.
  23. or did y'all scribble on some nondisclosure sheets?
