donnybrook
was playing this briefly earlier, great work man! we should do a olympic style tournament using this rom.
corky
Done some more work. All the real 12 teams (United States, Canada, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus , Switzerland ,Germany,Latvia,Norway) and players are updated. Other teams in this rom are mostly from Torino 2006 Olympic Roster, dont know how to delete teams, I know how to limit but then I dont know how to change the order (i think it is impossible). With the "smaller" countires there is some mistakes with the player likeness and ratings, also the chosen shirt-numbers are not confirmed with all the teams. If someone is keen on helping or wants to continue this, be my guest! 24 days to go... Olympic10beta.bin

shaftman
No thanks, i think the Olympics are such a huge waste of money. Is it because La belle province does not have a national team?
The Russian Rocket
No, i just think we could resolve world hunger by skipping one of these useless things. That or just hold the damn thing in the same place so it actually becomes a profitable activity for the development of countires in need. We SHOULD use that rom for the IIHF tournament, it is something!

shaftman
are you dumb? He already answered that. The question is: How dumb is he? Seriously though. You don't like the Olympics because you believe the money invested into it should be spent on global starvation? What if we cancel the NHL for the 2010-011 season and put all that money into saving Africa. Then we can can get rid MLB all together and put all those African kids through college. ...ya?
The Russian Rocket
We don't even need to skip the Olympics, just hold it in the same place, to skip the cost of making installations every time. And no Donnybrook, f**k you.

The Russian Rocket
K Douches, bring me some reasons why we shouldn't do that. And no Shaft, that's a bad argument. Since NHL and the MLB are PRIVATE leagues founded by PRIVATE organizations. Olympics is the other way arround.
corky
I have been making this more now and Slapshot67 is helping me, thanks. The Russian Rocket
Just put the NHL numbers? Normally if there's 2 same numbers, the more important guy gets his number
corky
Just put the NHL numbers?Normally if there's 2 same numbers, the more important guy gets his number Yes of course, but I want to make it right. For example Malkin has had numbers 71, 17, 18 and 11 in Team Russia. Edited February 5, 2010 by corky

sixsevenfiftysix
Also so far I've noticed that Sergei Zubov is on team Russia in your roster, but he is not actually part of the team. "Evgeny Nabokov" should also be spelled "Evgeni Nabokov". This also may be nitpicky but the default lines/positions are pretty out of whack. For instance, you have Ovechkin as a RW, Semin as a C, and Anton Volchenkov as a RW, and Andrei Markov is on two defensive pairings, just off the top of my head. The USA lines were also pretty crazy, but I don't remember all the problems with them.
HABS
why is semin rated so poorly? 72 ov thats not right. but rom is pretty good overall.

corky
Ok. Now I have edited the numbers and lineups for "Big Seven". I used some other forums for the possible lineups. Zubov is deleted, Semin had a little boost and Nabokov got re-spelled. I fixed the weight bug and applied the sprite/tape-patch. I also equalized the Home/Visitor/PP/PK advantages with EARE. And edited some jersey colors, for example Finlands "Retro-shirt" Anything else? Latvia, Switzerland, Norway, Germany and Belarus are still in beta-level... If someone wants to edit something on this rom, be my guest! And The new ROM is in the first post. Enjoy! and give feedback!!! sixsevenfiftysix
I've actually just noticed that this issue gives numbers for some players on the other teams. I don't know how accurate these are, but if it's given in the issue, I'm listing it here. If a player is missing it's because no number was given for that player. And yes, there were no numbers for Germany. Belarus 31 Mezin 24 Salei 29 Bashko 70 Denisov 43 Kostiuchenok 85 Antonov 5 Stasenko 23 A Kostitsyn 71 Kaliuzhny 74 S Kostitsyn 28 Koltsov 84 Grabovski 10 Antonenko 26 Stas 59 Demagin 18 Ugarov 22 Zadelenov 8 Mikhalev Latvia 31 Masalaskis 1 Mustukovs 30 Naumovs 8 Bartulis 7 Skrastins 3 Rekis 26 Redlihs 13 Galvins 71 Pujacs 2 Lavins 11 Sotnieks 16 Daugavins 5 Sprukts 9 Karsums 12 Vasiljevs 88 Sirokovs 24 Redlihs 47 Cipulis 21 Berzins 17 Nizivijs 75 Ankipans 87 Meija 10 Darzina Norway 33 Grotnes 34 Lysenstoen 30 Smith 55 Tollefsen 47 Bonsaken 6 Holos 7 Jakobsen 5 Kaunismaki 36 Lund 23 Trygg 41 Toheresen 21 Ask 26 Forsberg 29 Vikingstad 20 Bastiansen 22 Roymark 10 Spets 8 Hansen 35 Ylven 46 Olimb 9 Holtet 48 Aasen 19 Skroder Switzerland 1 Hiller 7 Streit 57 Bezina 31 Seger 5 Blindebacher 16 Diaz 90 Josi 18 Deruns 25 Monnet 35 Jeannin 23 Paterlini 76 Domenichelli 28 Pluss 39 Sannitz 88 Romy 32 Ruthemann 10 Ambuhl 86 Sprunger 14 Wick
sixsevenfiftysix
Also, I've never done something like this before so I don't know if it's possible or can be done easily, but can all the team's "home rinks" have the Vancouver 2010 logo in the center? For example, when Switzerland plays the US, the center circle obviously won't have the "home team"'s flag.

For example, when Switzerland plays the US, the center circle obviously won't have the "home team"'s flag. Yes it is possible, but I personally found this "flag-thing" better. This morning I edited the rest of the Teams, All the numbers and weights. (There could be some mistakes with handnesses of players). I found the Official rosters from nhl.com. But I think that my work is done now. The Olympics starts in 2 days and Im gone for this weekend. So I post my final version of this, but if someone is interested in editing this more, It is possible, just let me know. The Final Olympic Rom is in the first post. Thanks everyone for help, specially Slapshot.
