Kupuck (S.F) 2 - Iceguy (ATL) 12 (Ended at 7 innnings)

Atlanta: Pitchers #4 and #1

The 2nd game between me and FPB went to extra innings today. Here's the score:

Iceguy94 (ATL) - 4

FPB (N.Y) - 3

e/10 innings

ATL: Pitchers #1 and #3

N.Y: Pitchers #1 and #3

A tough, defensive affair with good pitching on both sides that went to extra innings. Scott and Rod broke the tie with solo home runs and while New York got 1, Atlanta sealed the deal.

GG.

ATL 0 (2ND 4TH)

ATL 4 (1st 3rd)

CHI 14 (2nd 4th)

2nd game was close for most of it but some poor pitching decisions (pinch hitting a fresh 200 st pitcher) resulted in atlanta's reliever getting left out to dry.

The pinch hitting wasn't my decision. The freaking game did it... at the bottom of the 5th!! I tried to get out with the B button, but it didn't let me! For some reason, the game just chooses an inning where you use your relievers arbitrairy at random. In the 2nd game I had with FPB, the game popped the pitcher menu at the 7th and my 2nd pitcher was still in good condition to close it. I can usually use relievers on the 7th at least, but the game screwed me over on that one.

Has anyone else had this happen?

you pinch hit for your pitcher when you were batting, thats why it happened, doesnt happen randomly.

When you pinch hit for him that pitcher is out of the game.

That's crap! What do you do if you got a pitcher at bat that doesn't even hit on .200?? You just use him as bait?

Best thing to do in this case is just strike out. It's your only option. Don't try and hit the ball because it'll just embarrass the pitcher, then he gets upset, starts throwing wild. Think about his feelings.

Really? Have you ever watched baseball before? In the National League the pitchers bat. If you have men on base the pitcher is normally a good batter to bunt with to move the runners up a base.

And then there's the ocasional home run done by a pitcher against another. It gives a nice 'Oh crap!' feeling to the other team if he blasts one out of the park, even more so if there are men on base.

San Fransisco-2 (Pitchers 1/2)

St. Louis-5 (Pitchers 2/4)

San Fran got on the board first with their early 2 runs, but web gem after web gem kept the SF offense at bay for the rest of the match up. clutch hits from the middle of the line up build up the lead, and the closer came in for a 1-2-3 9th inning. Good Game, game 2 to be laterrrrrrrrrrrr.

Game 2

St.L-14 (1)

SF- 4 (3 4)

Saint Louis really jumped out of the gun opening a 6-0 lead in the 1st half inning, another great performance by the St.Louis Ace carried St.Louis to a mercy rule victory in the 6th. Although SF didnt get their last-at-bat due to desynch but both parties agreed to call it then. Thanks Kupuck for being a cool opponent, Good Games.

Game 1 10 innings!

DET-11 (2 4)

St.L-10 (2 3)

Back and forth game, all the way, Detroit having all of the leads may i add

including the final blow a deep fly ball down the right field line, just inside

the pole. Great Game.

Game 2

St.L-8 (1 3)

DET-5 (1)

Only 7 hits for Detroit in this one, St.Louis ACE continues do get win after win

for his ball club, JACK the clean up hitter came through with a couple HR,

including a big 3 run shot late to help St.L to victory!

Game 1

Min 15 (1st, 4th)

Atl 5 (2nd, 3rd)

7 or 8 innings i think

Game 2

Atl 3 (1st, 4th)

Min 8 (3rd, 2nd)

One thing to note in both games Atlanta's pitchers were strikeout machines
