trudatman
so, I know there are some folks here that also post at hockey's future's message board (Clockwise comes to mind).... I guess the point of this thread is to ask y'all to join me there before I am banned. I started a thread to enlist the help of others in making an update to my SNES ROM for the upcoming playoffs and I'm only about 1/3 of the way through collecting player ratings (speed, agility and control) from other boardmembers. instead of starting that process again, here, I am guiding y'all to that thread, there: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=891297 . if you are a member there, please read the thread and see if you can help me by responding with ratings for a team you know well. if you can read the thread, but don't want to join, you could respond here, I guess. if you have questions or would like to offer assistance of any kind, please reply. thanks for your time, folks. be well and stay smiling. comments? endurance is also the goaltenders' stick right skill. ??? is fighting skill, but it is essentially a wildcard stat, as the game has no fighting. aggression is the reputation with the refs; don't worry about it nor shot accuracy, as those are pulled directly from season stats. ignore shot accuracy and aggression -- I'm looking for comments on anything else I may have gotten wrong. thanks for your time. The Russian Rocket
HFBoards is one of the most innacurate garbage you can find lol. try: www.behindthenet.com
smozoma
HFBoards is one of the most innacurate garbage you can find lol. try: www.behindthenet.com http://www.behindthenet.ca/ actually. I was going to post about that site, some time : ) The "GVT" player overall rating is pretty interesting, especially how there is an offensive component (Val OG) and a defensive component (Val D). That could be used for offensive/defensive awareness. (And actually, Andrew Ference has a pretty good Val D!)

smozoma
Ference is underrated in the Bruins fanbase. Yeah, I saw him in the Leafs-Bruins game and thought, maybe Trudatman was on to something, he looks pretty composed out there. (I somehow missed 4 of the 5 goals, though; don't know if he was on for them)
trudatman
so nobody wants to help me? somebody reading this thinks they know CAR/NYR/CBJ/PIT/NSH/EDM/DAL/LA, etc. well.

trudatman
I could still use help with NSH, but I got these Edmonton stats: EDM current lineup (speed/agility/control): A. Horcoff C 4/4/2 G. Brule C 3/3/3 T. Chorney D 3/3/3 R. Whitney D 4/4/5 when I asked over there, I put SPD/AGI/CTL, but AGI is before SPD on the editor, so I'm asking for AGI/SPD/CTL, here. three weeks to finish? this is going to be cool. I played as Boston against Montreal and Recchi killed Hamrlik and I was all "ninety flow!" I think this may be the first image posted featuring the children in the crowd. trudatman
oh. well, it looks like I'll be banned from hfboards, eventually. Montreal bias is overpowering. who here wants to help me? agility/speed/control is all I'm asking for. I pull the rest from stats. anybody know of a place that collects and publishes recent starting lines to which I can be linked? smozoma
Reimer (3/3/4) -- decent at collecting rebounds. positional goalie, not the greatest laterally. if you're doing stick/glove high/low, he's good low, a bit weak high. 5/5/3/3. Giguere -- always injured so I rarely see him play Armstrong -- (4/3/3) main strength is his defensive game and forechecking, winning battles... Brown (3/5/2) -- he's fast but not much of a scorer. I'd give Kessel a (3/5/x) as well, really fast, but very straight-line. Lashoff -- give him (2/3/2) for being a rookie I guess. pretty new, haven't seen him play much, but he seems ok.
