halifax
Montreal hosted the olympics in'76, finished first overall in the '76-77 regular season, then won the cup. Calgary hosted the olympics in '88, finished first overall in the '88-'89 regular season, then won the cup. Vancouver hosted the olympics in '10, finished first overall in the '10-'11 regular season......well you get the picture.
The Russian Rocket
Looked realistic untill Malhotra got a puck stuck in his eye. Van just lost twice to a team that totaled 800 NHL points (EDM) and in race for one of the worst teams in the decade.
Bob Kudelski
Looked realistic untill Malhotra got a puck stuck in his eye. It's only Manny Malhotra though. Every team is going to have a few key injuries along the way, and Vancouver has plenty of depth.

Don't make no illusions, Hodgson ain't touching Malhotra defensive abilities

HABS
if chicago takes them out again there will be blood in that town lol and its a realistic possibility with their talent. malhotra loss will be huge, hes one of those players that play real well in playoffs. but still very dangerous team, we'll see what happens. Whalernator
The Canucks seem like cup winners... But other teams that I think could be bringing home the Holy Grail of Hockey are San Jose (minus Nabokov, plus Niemi), Washington (Neurvith and Holtby running the show), Pittsburgh (Kovalev could fill in for Malkin and Crosby), and the Hawks again (still in it).
