Carse Posted June 28, 2011 Report Share Posted June 28, 2011 Pearate has been doing great at getting his games in, and Bo appears to be getting back on track as well... once those 2 guys get up to the 40s, that will put a TON of guys a lot closer to completing their schedule.. If kgman shows up then i think that most people will be fine with getting in the 50s by then.. its just a matter of everyone posting their availability for down the stretch! smozoma Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 The conference problem is made worse by the fact we're down to 22 teams, so the playoff bubble is not near the middle of the pack where guys group up a lot, it's at the bottom, where there is more variation. What is really odd is someone with your overall record in most lgs is successful but you epic fail with 1 of the best gdl players who dont really need the rest of the team,maybe just a style thingy.I guess even more odd though is Me pulling off a .500 record with the fattest team ever in gdl history but i feel if i played sober i could've been .750 in gdl. smozoma Posted July 11, 2011 Report Share Posted July 11, 2011 Yeah I think the most equitable way to do it is to have... 22 teams (or 24, whatever) 21 x 2 = 42 (2 games against everyone else) 14 x 1 = 14 (1 extra game against 14 people) ------------------ ..............56 (total games) you can still sort things into conferences/divisions for display, but I think we need to do 1v16 format for playoffs. otherwise, there are always people thinking "i had 5 more pts than that guy, and his conference was easier, i should be in the playoffs."
