kingraph
Some advice below for posting lines, thanks smozoma. If you have two players with the same number, you can specify a new number for one of them. Here'show you should choose a new number for them: The better player should keep their original number (except in the case of a starting goalie and starting skater.. change the goalie in that case). Try to change the number to another number they wore during their career. Or, just add 1 to their old number (or more if someone else has that number!) Example: If you have two defense with say the number 4, change the lower rated player to either 5 or 44 or another number he wore. The better players should keep their numbers whenever possible, to avoid confusion, getting surprised not knowing Bure was changed to 96 or whatever.Team: TeamNameFirst LineG - PlayerNameLD - PlayerNameRD - PlayerNameLW - PlayerName (make him #17 (number he wore when he was with the Capitals))C - PlayerNameRW - PLayerNameX - Player Name (extra attacker when goalie pulled)Second LineG - PlayerNameLD - PlayerNameRD - PlayerNameLW - PlayerNameC - PlayerNameRW - PLayerNameX - Player Name (extra attacker when goalie pulled)AJ explained how the subbing during penalties works: If the starting C gets a penalty, the 2nd line C comes in, if that player gets a penalty as well while the 1st C is in, then the next available left wing is the center, which is the 1st line left wing, then if that player gets a penalty, its the 2nd line left wing, and if you somehow get all 4 in the box, the 1st RW takes over. On defense, if you get 3 D men in the box, your first LW becomes the other defenseman. The 2nd RW is a dead spot in the lineup, it will only come in without editing the lines if the starting RW gets hurt. This is the perfect place to hide the guys that you never want to see the ice under any circumstance aside from injury to your starting RW. Bo made a really detailed thread explaining how line subs work:http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=11492'>http://forum.nhl94.c...showtopic=11492I think there was some issue with Bo's method... oh well. skip
I have done all of the lineups and jersey # changes up to here (Toronto). Everyone else, feel free to add them! I have ensured that each lineup has their #3 and 4 D-men as the 2nd and chk line (reversed) combos - per brutus. If you haven't elected new numbers for any duplicates on your team, I will change them on my own.

skip
Hey guys, I updated everyone's lines up to here (Edmonton). I just posted the latest practice ROM w/ complete teams, but it is here too If you gave me the D-man format of: D1-D2 D3-D3 D4-D4.... I changed it to: D1-D2 D3-D4 D4-D3 This was because I was told there is a glitch if you don't do the lines like this. If anyone knows that you can in fact have your 3rd D-man in both LD/RD for line 2 and then 4th D-man as chk line LD and RD, please let me know. I just played some games and whomever is listed below Housley subs in - not the LD. There is still an issue with the player cards, unfortunately. This is the only way to prevent a F from being subbed into the game during a penalty/injury situation. Game goes for first defensive sub to Scoring Line LD, and second sub to Checking Line LD. It never goes to RD for a sub in Second Line or Checking lines, same as the RW, unless of course an injury occurs. Thus the reason to list 4th defender on Scoring Line 2 RD, and then again Checking Line LD. Hey brutus - thanks for this info. Are you certain that if someone does their 3rd D-man as both LD-RD on line 2 and their 4th as LD-RD on chk line, a fwd comes on in certain situations? Just want to make sure since a few guys have requested the duplicated D on 2nd line..thanks!

skip
Hey Raph- I did see this post, but it is kind of confusing in spots and someone said not everything was true on it w/out specifying which part was not correct. But a few guys were asking for: 1: D1-D2 2: D3-D3...then I guess chk would be D4-D4; but I thought that caused F glitch. Do I then go to: 1: D1-D2 2: D3-D2 C: D4-D3 I was advised to do this: 1: D1-D2 2: D3-D4 C: D4-D3 Whatever is best practice should be the standard, so let me know which is best. I would like my 3rd D to come in for both LD/RD when needed too, and only 3 other guys asked for that in the line combos above. I will wait for DaDonch to finish up the rest of the team changes that needed to be made and run the player cards through EARE, then I can make these changes quickly. kingraph
I was advised to do this: 1: D1-D2 2: D3-D4 C: D4-D3 If you do this, D4 comes in when D2 gets a penalty. So that won't work if someone wants D3 to come in for either. The correct way is as I explained: 1: D1-D2 2: D3-D2 C: D4-D3 Because when D2 gets a penalty in this lineup, D3 will come in.
