jer_33
Going to try and solve the mystery of what occasionally happens to the jersey numbers on edited jerseys, when changing line-ups in game. This phenomena happens when you make changes to the jersey palettes in an editor such as the jed301b graphics editor, when updated in the league file the teams numbers disappear from the backs of their jerseys during in game line-up changes. jer_33
Made some adjustments to Tampa Bay yesterday and determined that when I changed the first black block, that it changed the colour of the number on the jerseys (in game line changes). I proceeded to make adjustments to the palette (different shades of blue) and left the first palette block alone. In the end, my tests still showed no improvement as the jersey numbers appeared a light shade of grey on white (near invisible). Starting to believe that the number colour is linked not only to the palette, but a corresponding block on the jersey itself. Will continue. jer_33
I feel confident that I can confirm that the colour of the numbers on a players jersey are associated with a block or section of blocks on a teams home jersey. Will get some screen shots, and create a small library. For future reference, pasting another team jersey does not carry on it's colour/number relation, it would appear to be hard-coded with the team. PenguinFan1985
@jer_33 did you ever solve this? Would be very helpful.
jer_33
Heh, it was a fleeting project. Perhaps I should take it up again this summer. It was rather involved, in that it required constant loading/reloading of the DOS file to test each individual jersey block, for each team in the game. Now that I've been called out, I'll have to reexamine my files. Doesn't help that my original image files were shared on dropbox, which has discontinued it's image sharing. (Fixed - uploaded all my image files to the boards) Edited May 16, 2018 by jer_33
