All-Decade ROMs

27 posts in this topic

In each rom I tried to rate the players as accurately as possible from my memories and using hockey reference.

I also tried to stay true to the Original rom.

All handedness, weight, and numbers are accurate.

No player is on 2 teams.

I did not always choose the best team some times I took the more memorable one or one with players I liked.

All the roms have the improved Weight Bug Fix, so checking rating matters.

They also have the C/B check fix.

All music is fixed to the appropriate team.

Home/Away and PP/PK are even for all teams.

Sim Data set to reflect actual teams.

Stick Tape and Eye Patch applied.

In the 50's and 60's rom teams are always in dark jerseys.

Historic Player Photos.

:money: The 50's and 60's roms also have improved Playoff Trees for 6 team leagues, BUT you must not go past Toronto going forward or past Boston going backward or the rom will freeze. :electric_shock:

Thanks to KingRaph for all his help with Player Photos.

92, 93, and 94 are the Best of the 90's. :exciting:

So no the NHL was and is dead to me after the Rangers Cup run of 94.

The strike of 95, Bettman, the instigator penalty, all the teams that moved from Hockey country to the SEC were more than I could stand.

Naples did a couple of great roms from the 2000's that I think you can find here.

Just wanted to thank you Coach for the all the work you did on these roms. I just finished playing the 80's version to vindicate the 1987 Flyers loss to the Oilers lol. Can't wait to play the 50's version to work the Red Wings and Canadiens.

Cool, I am glad you liked it.

The 87 Flyers have some of my favorite player photos. (Kerr with Michael Bolton hair, Hextall winking, Propp looks like he's in high school, and a bloody Brad McCrimmon.)

I just finished making a Cup run with 56 Habs. I went 16-1. Lost to Boston in one game in the finals when Don Simmons stood on his head for a 2-1 victory.

Keep me posted on how they play and if you see any mistakes.

LOL yeah I like Propp's photo, definitely a high school one for sure! Hextall looks like he knows something we don't!

I took them to the cup and won, went 16-1. I volunteered the Penguins first because I knew I could beat them up lol. Got the Nordiques then the Islanders in the finals, only loss was the Islanders. Then I swept Vancouver. How they got there I don't know lol. It works great, haven't noticed any blatant mistakes.

Working on the Broad Street Bully's in the 70's edition now! :)

If there aren't anymore Macks hacks, at least we have Macs hacks! These are great edits with great detail.

That 70's rom is my fav of the bunch; Seals jerseys are so bad they're good. If only there was a way to make the skates white.

Seals jerseys are so bad they're good. If only there was a way to make the skates white.

Apparently the owner of the team would force them to paint the skates white between games (or maybe even periods?) if they were scuffed, which made them heavier and heavier. Imagine how good they would have been if their skates weren't a pound heavier than everyone else's - might have even cracked 70 points in a season or two :P.
