Taking a screenshot of the entire rink?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am going to be hosting a NHL '94 tournament at my workplace and I need to design the bracket for it.

I am trying to figure out how to take a screenshot. (Or acquire the shot through the game files) for the entire rink + crowd.

I see screenshot out there, but I need about 1920x1080ish versions.

Example:

Any help would be appreciate.

Take care!

You can't do it on one screenshot as the entire rink is never displayed. Using the GENS emulator you can grab a screenshot by pressing SHIFT+Backspace. Just do an instant replay, screenshot each section, and paste together in MS Paint (or some equivalent).

You're not going to get more pixels than is displayed though, without doing some custom work. Here's an example of the screenshot method, you can just grab that pic: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/15025-blimp-view-instant-replay/

You have to fake it by taking many screenshots and sticking them together

The game is I think 256x224 resolution, so if you want HD, you'll just need to resize your stitched image. Use a "nearest nieghbor" resizing method in order to get the pixelated look.

yeah, what those guys typed. I made mine in instant replay, taking small screenshots and piecing them together very carefully in GIMP/Photoshop. you'll want to save the file as a .png to keep it lossless (HD). good luck!
