Can you send me the original cover picture? I feel like I might be able to get a more natural looking conversion with my Ditherer program. Or is that what you used? (maybe the Ditherer struggles with black and white?)

Yes, I used the Ditherer.

All your tools are awesome.

I just wish I didn't get so many choices.

Maybe I chose the wrong one.

What do you mean by "more natural"?

Richard looks very cartoony to me, because the image has very flat/contiguous areas of colour on his face and hand, instead of more dithered/dotted colouring to create more gradual shading. However, it may just be that the source image just looks like that, it being a really old picture...

I could probably get rid of that stripe down the middle of the image, anyway.

Unfortunately the line down the middle is in the original as it is pencil drawing on 2 sheets of paper.

The line is the gap on the 2 pieces of paper.

Maybe I'll try another cover photo.

You exposed my OCD.

I changed the cover photo to another one I had been considering.

Ahhhh, that's why it looked cartoony! It's a drawing! Makes sense now.

The line is very easy to fix in Photoshop or whatever.
