Mike
OTTAWA (AP) -- Peter Bondra and Ronnie Francis have regained their scoring touch for the Ottawa Senators, and brought a new teammate along to offensive prominence in the process. Heatley extended his goals streak to 5 games with 2 goals and Francis and Gord Murphy each had points, leading Ottawa to a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night. Bondra, got his first goal of the game midway in the first as the Senators scored twice within 50 seconds to take a 2-0 lead. He scored a second goal late in the second, both set up by Francis and Doug Wilson, to help Ottawa extend its lead to 3-0. "With a guy like Bondra, the goals are going to come," said Francis, who assisted on each of Bondra's two goals in the second. "I think we were a little frustrated. [senators coach] Mike [Richardson] stuck with us and kept us together and we're reaping the benefits of it now." "I don't put too much stake in memories," Bondra said. "It's fun on this team especially to play against Toronto, with the crowd and the rivalry, seeing as their Coach [takeyourpill] beat us in the East Semis last year"
