halifax
I've updated the list ...some guys in the european leagues have switched teams and some guys aren't listed on those teams anymore...so I moved anyone I couldn't find info on into the 'retired' section with an asterisk by their name as well as guys who've been out of the NHL for more than a season and are not currently playing(ie amonte, leclair). halifax
I had some players put the retired list with asterisks by their names because info wasn't available or they have been free agents for over a year. So I found out so more info on some of them. Tony Amonte - retired Zarley Zalapski is still playing in the swiss league for lausanne. Andrei Kovalenko is retired and is chairman of the KHL's players association. Travis Green is retired and is assistant coach and assistant GM of Portland in the WHL. Eric Weinrich retired again after a brief stint as player/assistant coach of the portland pirates in the AHL. He's still the assistant coach. I wasn't able to to find any concrete info on John Leclair although I'm pretty sure he's retired. Adrien Plavsic, Ed Belfour, Sandis Ozolinsh and Geoff Sanderson did not play last season and I cannot find any info updating their status so I'll leave them as retired.
