HERE ARE THE BIDDING RULES :

Bidding for players

Much like the Fvhl there will be a bidding process for players beofre the season. contracts can go from 1 year to 3 just like the fvhl.

t the start of every season, each team gets a 51 million dollar budget. Then, select a set roster of 7 Forwards, 5Defense, 2 Goalies. This will be done when i post 25 players for bidding these players will be posted beging by overall ranking in the nhl 94 rom so the first 25 would be 100 to 90. The firstl post will be the opening bid on the player, yearly salary offered and the number of seasons for the player (ex. 1 million/2 seasons)always in incriments of .5 or a million. Then, any other coach can step in and place a higher bid for a 24 hour period, the topic will be closed, THEN THERE WILL BE A 24 HOUR blind bid period where coaches wh o have not bid more then once may make a secret bid by sending a pm to me. if i am involved in the bidding a different person will be selected to receive those pm's. the player will be awarded to highest secret bid. i f there is no secret bids then the player will be awarded to highest bid in the first process and the money will be taken off from his budget (NOTE: If it's a multi-season contract, the yearly salary is paided for each season). A coach will have to watch his budget carefully, as a bid that would cause him to exceed his budget will not be counted.

Max number of seasons - 3

It is possible to remove a bid you have made. if you go over at any time during the bidding process you will hav to drop a player of your choice and will be penalised against the cap for that players contract........

the following way

1 year contracts no penalty

2 year contracts = 2 years of cap peanties against your cap

3year contracts = 3 years of cap penalties against your cap

BLIND BIDS MUST BE SENT TO ATHLETICO661@HOTMAIL.COM . I WILL NOT LOOK AT ANY OF THE EMAILS TILL THE TIME IS EXPIRED THOSE OF YOU WHO DONT TRUST CAN CHECK IF ANY OF THE EMAILS HAVE BEEN READ IF I WILL SEND YOU THE PASSWORD AND YOU CAN CHECK

Q1:What if i cancel a bid?

A1: you may cancel a bid anytime in the first 24 hour open bid period.....the bid will be canceled but it counts as a bid. you may not cancle prvate bids.

Q2: what if a player is not named can i blind bid for him

A2: no you cannot blind bid on a player not named in the public bid

Q3: What happens to the players not named in the public bid process

A3: They can be bidon when we do the last block which will be called the OPEN BLOCK thats when any player can be named

Q4: Where do isend my blind bids

A4: i send them by email to athletico661@hotmail.com with the subjest as the players name and the the years and bid in the body of the email

Q5: what if someone makes an incorreect bid like 4.7 million or forgets the years on the contract

A5: if the bid is ,1,2,3,4 it will be marked at .5 and if the bid is 5,6,7,8,9 it will be marked to the next million. if the years are not mentioned the bid is not valid but can be ammended.....it will count as a bid but will not be the lead bid. it will be an invalid bid that will count against that coaches toatal bis

Q6:how do i know what block is being bidded on?

A6: the block all will have dates on when they begin and end. these dayes will be pinned in the topic under block# and the start and end dates (time)

Q7: are the time eastern time?

A7: yes there is an east coast bias all times are in eastern time

Q8: What if there is a tie in the blind bid process? who gets the player

A8: Well if it is a tie the winner is determined on who offered the more amount of years. if there is still a tie it become who has more cap space after the entire block has been tabulated.

Q9: Can i blind bid a player that is not been bid on publicly?

A9: no, you cannot bid on a player that hasnt been bid on in the public forum. you will have a chance to bid on him however in the open block again he will have to be public bid before a blind bid
