When you are using NOSE to edit rosters, please make sure you update the number of F and D on the team. This can be done by hitting the "Apply" button on the menubar. If you do not do this, the game will think there are 15 defensemen (F in hex) available. I'm not sure how this will affect gameplay (it probably won't), but please do this step, especially if you want to use the offline stat extractor program (to be released soon!)

Anyone else have this issue? My version of NOSE is 1.2b, but it still only shows 30 teams. The Sauce, who is someone I have been talking with, said that he can access 32 teams. Does anyone else know how to show all 32 teams?

i have some different questions about NOSE: 1. when adding goalies there are some different columns, tables, letters and numbers to choose from. the first column(first goalie) seems to always be C on all teams in nhl97 for example. i have tried to change it to for example B and i didnt see anything changed with that move. i get that each 4 column are for each 4 goalie spot for respective team but what will actually change when choosing different letters and numbers? 2. when deleting a player i get the "owerflow" message. what does that mean? all the roms i have edited seems to work fine even if i have deleted and added many players to many teams 3. when opening some roms …

Any way you can copy and paste uniforms in NOSE?

Is it possible to do this? For instance, I want to toy with certain ratings across the board to see if it changes the game. For instance, maybe increasing or decreasing offensive or defensive awareness for the whole league, to see if it helps your computer controlled skaters move into a good scoring position, or increases the chance of the computer scoring against a player, or making the computer defense better. Messing with checking and fight ratings is another thing I'm curious about. It would be much easier to, say, click down once to decrease every player's checking by 1 step. Thanks

I am a new user for NOSE. And I had a little trouble finding and installing Windows Common Controls ActiveX Control DLL. But I think I have it installed now. I am having a problem when I run NOSE I get Error 339. Any help is much appreciated.

Can i use a 30 team rom with this programme and just change player names and nothing else was thinking of adding classic players to teams just to start with ?? Also how many players can you have on a roster please ??

How do I add teams, Also how do I free up bytes. NHL 96 is cutting off some of the players names. I am just wondering all of this.

Apologies to the community for not posting this (many years) earlier. NOSE 1.2b was coded in Visual Basic 6 (VB6). You would need this installed if you were ever to try recompile nose.exe. To just view the code with color syntax highlighting you can use something like Notepad++. All of the code is within the *.frm (Forms), *.bas (Basic Modules) & *.cls (Classes). Just remember to select Language > V > Visual Basic within Notepad++ after you have opened any of those files. I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I've successfully used the NOSE editor and some other tools in the past to make minor changes to my ROMs. Now I'm currently experimenting for the first time with using NOSE to 'trade' players and create a draft league of sorts. I'm doing this with an NHL '95 ROM for now. I started by simply copying players from one instance of NOSE to another and replacing four players on one particular team. I then copied the players I was replacing onto the rosters of the teams from which I copied the original three players. Two teams did not have enough bytes to paste and replace a player, so I deleted a player from each one before overwritin…

ive downloaded nose and was wondering if you can change team logos using it, and if so how do you do it.

Been playin around with nose to edit the blitz 08 teams into the 07 rom. Have found with 2 teams that when i try to paste one player over another it gives me a message saying that there are "insufficient bytes to paste the selected player data" or something like that. The only way i can do it is to delete a player from the roster, so the team effectively ends up with 1 player less. Anyone with more knowledge than me have any ideas?

I've been making a current Red Wings Roster with NOSE, and while doing the lines I noticed a line combo titled "NLC". What is this combo for? In game you can choose from SC1, SC2, and CHK (unless in penalty situations), so I'm wondering about this NLC one.
