Congratulations to Season 1 Champions the GA Kings & Captain Kingraph for edging Wittgenstein's George W Bush Squad 20-16 in the final series for the season 1 title!

Kingraph and Mav put a 7-1 beatdown on Kupuck and Wittgenstein for the final victory.

It was a lot of fun to do a 2v2 league, a lot of guys that had never 2v2'd before had their first experiences playing 2on2 this season.

Thank you everyone for participating, hopefully if the league continues some format changes will be implemented to ensure better participation.

Congrats again to the season 1 champs again - the GA Kings!

1. There is a new rom to be downloaded

2. Some things will go under-change throughout the course of the season (Website upgrades such as Awards, fixing the team banners)

3. Checks may be referred to as PIMS in some places, I'm aware of that and I will fix it later.

So there are 4 teams and 120 games (20 Home, 20 Away against the other 3 teams)! You can find each roster under the "Rosters" section of the website. Find a team-mate, find two opponents from a team and get some 2on2 games in.. If you are not sure you can use Kupuck's 2on2 Setup Guide here : http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/15230-2on2-the-basics-set-up-etc/ when you want to play.

At the end of the game both teams should save states just in case, but the winning Center of the game will upload it unless an agreement is made where someone will end up logging all the states.

How to Log a Game

Click the Login Button - The Username/Password for each teams are :

Bazinga Gang/bazinga

George W. Bush/bush

Goon Squad/goon

Kings of GA/kings

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then you select the save state, select one of the games under the list and then upload it! If done correct it should take you to the boxscore.

One last thing : You can make a player picture request if you'd like! Just send it to me! EDIT: Picture can be more than 100x100

http://phl2on2.host56.com/PHL/index.php is the website link. Good luck!

Since I anticipate a race to twenty finishing up much quicker than I originally planned, I wanted to put it out to everyone to extend the regular season race to 35 or 40.

Website has everything done but the graphics so expect it to be ready by Friday at the latest.

Plabax virtually has the rom finished - he is in the final stages of finishing the page, we should be up and going by the end of the week.

Sorry for the wait - stay tuned for some AWESOME 2on2 ACTION

Now for your enjoyment, more 2on2 Highlights from Clockwize and Freydey:

Each team plays with a Goalie, LW & C in a open, fast-paced, freestyle like game of NHL94 with four different users controlling the four skaters on the ice. To set up a 2on2 game, use the following steps:

Step 1:

Load Gens->file->netplay->mode:client

Step 2:

Connection type: Good 20 packet(s)

Step 3: select "Custom IP" address to enter an IP address if you already know it, if uncertain click "master servers list", use "add" tab to save good servers for later use

Step 4: Enter server, Home team center will click "create game" -> 2on2 final.org or PHL2on2lg.bin, etc

Step 5: Away Team Center joins as Player 2, Home Team LW joins as Player 3, Away Team LW joins as Player 4

STEP 6: HOME CENTER hits starts -> GAGA

The Rules and Stuff:

Teams
-Teams & Roster sizes depend on sign up (max 6 teams min 3 teams, 4-6
players each)

-Each team will consist of both two to three A players and two
to three B players

-A Players and B Players will be determined upon skill
& previous performance (we will look at everything from summit series,
previous 2on2 league, and other league history to determine a coaches abilities
fairly)

-Team Captains for first league will be determined by
myself, for every season after will be selected as the players
with the most GP (ex: clockwize has 34GP, halifax has 28 GP, evan 27 GP,
smozoma 26 GP, season 2 captains: clockwize, halifax, evan & smozoma). This
hopefully creates an incentive for people to rack up GP.

-Team Captains will participate in the draft and choose team name

-Players during draft will be selected both from A player
and B player Pools, each captain will only be able to select from one pool each
round.

League Format

-All teams make play-offs, best of 15/20 series (similar to
Summit format)

-Regular season 20 GP minimum

-Teams are allowed to play past the 20 GP minimum point
unless they are the last team to get to 20 GP. When the last team to get to the
20GP mark plays its 20th game, the standings will be closed and playoff match ups
will be determined. Make sure your teammates play! The teams that reach 20 GP first
will be able to rack up points to improve in the standings until the last tm
finishes.

-Standings will be determined by Pts, Tie breakers by: 1)Win % 2) +/-(GF/GA)

-2 pts for win, 0 pts for loss, 1 pt for tie (no pts for
OT losses)

-All games must either have a player combination of the
following on both tms: AA v AA, AA v AB, AB v AB, AB v BB, or BB v BB Any match-up is fine - just get your GP!

-Each player must play at least 5 games to be eligible
for play-offs. No min game requirements, if your on a roster you are eligible for any regular season/play-off match up.

Game Rules:
-5 min periods

-Offsides/Penalties = OFF

-Icing will be disabled on rom

-All players/goalies/home/away advantages will be same/equal

-All games recorded with website database via save states

-Don't be an arsehole
