With the first checkpoint here TDL Major is set to go for Trade Deadline week. Draft rules will be the same as last season (last place first snaking order, no trading of draft spots, 5 player trade limit, etc). One new rule will be used in this season's draft: each coach must waiver a player of the same position from which they draft.

Example draft post should look like: Drp1zza drafts free agent Patrick Roy and waivers Dominick Hasek.

The 4 games that were not played have little impact on the final draft order and will be logged as following: BOS 1 @ NYR 0 FF, NYR 0 @ BOS 1 FF, CAL 0 @ NYR 1 FF, NYR 1 @ CAL 0 FF. J&J took an unexpected trip out of town, to save him from having to draft last each round CAL was faulted the 2 games vs. NYR.

At the first 14 GP checkpoint each player will draft 3 free agents and be able to trade during the trade deadline. We will do this again at the 28 GP checkpoint as well.

When drafting a free agent that coach is required to waiver one player from that same position (could be your weakest player).

Trading will be opened a week before the trade deadline although they will not go into effect until after the checkpoint. If you will be out of town during the Trade Deadline, leave a list of free agents with myself or another coach to help the draft week moving on pace.

GMC S1 Trade Deadline: Official Trade Thread

The trade deadline intermission is coming up in 10 days, thus trading is
now open. All trades will go into effect only after the trade deadline period,
each coach is required to trade at least 1 player with a maximum of 5 players
by Sunday March, 30.

BOS and NYR are still behind their chk pt 2 marks, minp and
witt please post your availability for the coaches you need to play.

The Free Agent Draft will start Friday March 21, with only 8
picks per round I'm guessing things should go quick. With the entire week
dedicated to free agency and trading, I personally do not think we need
deadlines for 24 picks - the draft should take no more than 2-4 days. If others
feel deadlines are needed its something we can do, just speak up. Leave lists
with others if you know you won't be around for your pick.

trade deals here.

GMC S1 Free Agent Draft

That time is here for the Free Agency Draft, thanks everyone for participating and keeping things fun & competitive so far. It's been a lot of fun and I hope the last leg of the season add some more enthusiasm and excitement.

We will draft according to the following orders. Visit the googlespread sheet for available Free Agents, players highlighted in red are already on a team.

Also, do not forget you need to engage in at least one trade deal with a maximum of five. Click here to negotiate trades and click here to post official deals after they've been negotiated.

When the draft is completed, everyone will have until 7PM EST on 4.6.14 to make final trades. At that point, all changes will be added to the rom. The new rom will be posted and GMC league play will continue 4.7.14.

Trading Rules

During the Trade Deadline, each coach must conduct at least one trade deal. Coaches are allowed to trade up to a maximum of 6 players. Each coach will be able to update and post on the trading block throughout the season and negotiate deals as time leads up to the Trade Deadline. Coaches can start trading with other teams at Week 6 before the intermission, but note that roster changes will not apply until after the Trade Deadline.

Free Agent Draft Rules & Procedures:

When all coaches meet the 28 GP mark, the league trade deadline starts. The Trade Deadline is a 10 day intermission week in which each team will draft 3 free agents and be allowed a short window for late season trades. Free agents are all players from unselected teams.

The Free Agent Draft will be determined by current standings at the intermission and be conducted in the following order (snaking around for rounds 2 and 3): 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st.
