Paul Coffey Salutes Fans After Scoring Game Winner In what could be described as the upset of the century, the New Jersey Devils finally got off the mark wins-wise, scoring a shocking 7-6 OT victory over the heavily-favored New York Rangers. A pair of hat tricks by Doug Gilmour and Brendan Shanahan, along with Paul Coffey's game winner early in OT led the way for coach Tom Delgado to get his first league win. The Ducks managed to come back from a 3-2 game series deficit against the Sabres in the Conference Finals to earn their second finals bid in as many seasons. This series was as intense and evenly matched of any series in recent memory, as swos was very close to knocking the reigning champs out in game 6. ggs swos despite a bit of button delay and chops in the middle games of the series, u gave me a great series. The Ducks now await the winner of the FPB/KGman series. A win by FPB would set up a rematch of the gdl 7 finals, which the Ducks won in 7. RWD uploaded our first game, which was extremely laggy and I think SWOS should take this off the board becuase I think it was unfair for both of us. I really think RWD will agree with me on this and we should replay this game as well as play our last game.

The San Jose Sharks, after a very slow start and tumultuous first quarter of the season in general, have won 7 straight games and now sit 5 points behind Tampa Bay for first in the Dmitry Division of the Mark Lesser Conference. The Sharks lost their first 7 games of the season, as top guns Mark Recchi and Adam Oates fizzled repeatedly trying to get into a rhythm. Embarrassing losses to league doormats Washington and Philadelphia followed, as fans began to get restless, raining down boos on the coaching staff and captain Recchi. The phonelines of several local radio call-in shows were flooded with messages such as "WHEN IS THAT MORON GOING TO PUT RECCHI AT CENTER ON THE TO…

The most highly anticipated series of the year was a bit anti-climatic. Jrod/Kg II ended in a four game sweep. Kg pokechecked me to death, clogged up the middle and used Mike Modano like a weapon. The somewhat slow TB team effectively shut down Winnepeg's other forwards, but had no answer for Modano's breakaway speed. Modano was so effective, in fact, that he scored 12/15 of his team's goals for the series! Fuhr was solid in some games, brutal in others, and breakout star Craig Simpson was invisible for most of the series. I tried my best, but the rust was way too thick to put up much of a fight. Congrats Kg,(you rat bastard) 1st ever GDL 2X champ!!

In a crazy 10-9 victory of the minnesota North Stars over the Quackin Ducks of Anaheim, coach flamingpavelbure and Evgeny Davydov, broke a record. With 14 seconds left to the game, the Stars being down 9-7, Davydov scored at 0:14, 0:07 and 0:00 to score a hat trick, give the victory to the stars by one goal, and break the record. As a sidenot, previously in the game, Minnesota scored 3 goals in 16 seconds, not by the same guy, as Recchi potted 1 and Davydov too. It's a fun break after a mild start for the North Stars. Hope to steal some victories again this way .

I got it just about right on the .krec files, but I made one mishap... The save states are still used for the game reports on the GDL sites. I should have gotten things more clearer and I'm terribly sorry our games went a bit to naught... unless you can send the krec files to the head honchos and they do something about it. Just tell me how it turns out and let me know ASAP if you want to replay them again.
