Phil Spencer from Microsoft thoughts to say about console tribalism, and it made me think about the ridiculous back and forth about NHL94 SNES and Gens bickering that goes on day in and day out on stream chats, forum posts, Discord, and Facebook. Both of the mainstream versions(gens/snes) have passionate players attached to them, and thus we have this amazing community of individuals who continue to celebrate BOTH versions of the game. Even though somebody may be doing a better update to TSB3 at the moment, I'm sharing this I made for myself. This roms are based on the yearly releases from Fernando49 that were on the defunct tborg site, updated with the rosters from Sblueman's 2020 week one TSB NES rom, with me filling the gaps on the missing players and attributes when doing the transition to TSB3. That is a great, well thought out post. Thanks for that. In the quote above, I do think for 99.9% of people, it is all in good fun, poking fun at the other system. As a community, I know I appreciate the SNES guys. (Hell, Halifax is SNES, and he is one of the pillars here!) Could this be a "doth protest too much" thing, with your expressed animosity toward NHL95? And, with some of your recent "likes", on this thread, could Darth @segathon and @UltraMagnusbe wearing down your hatred of 95? Then again, as Star Wars teaches us, if you do go to the Dark Side, ala Anakin, you are bound to return to the Light. Of course, I kid with you. Was 23 when I signed up. I think I'm one of the last guys still here that didn't get married and have kids.

It's kinda sad that they couldn't draw inspiration from mine or @skip/slapshot67's or @naples39's current season roms. Especially, as that is what NHL Rewind is ...current rosters in the NHL94 skin! Ours contain the wonderful fixes, patches or enhancements created by @smozoma, @clockwise and @slapshot67. Fixes that improved what was already a classic. Take those enhancements/changes, throw in the new/cool custom skin tones feature, the new controller select screen, the achievement awards and make it available for online play. BOOM! Instantly better than their current NHL product line.
