  1. After a great weekend playing Genesis Hockey with @angryjay93 I got back into making/improving roms. This one is my Original 6 NHL '94 rom. The rom is not based on a specific year but on the players from 1951-1967. It has the 6 Teams from the Original 6 era. Each team 23 players (4 lines and 3 goalies) The lines are set as close as possible to the actual lines that played together. Boston "Uke Line", Detroit "Production Line", New York "GAG Line" No player is on 2 teams. The lines are set with 4 lines in the spirit of the Line Rolling League. The rom is Weight Bug Fixed and the C/B check is eliminated. The B-check won't work with Penalties Off. Player Cards are all new and created by me. The ProSet logo is on the scoreboard and in the 3-stars screen. The Playoff Match-ups are adjusted to have just 6 Teams. If you advance and win the Cup you will have played 4 of the possible 5 opponents. NHL'94original6.bin

  2. After a great weekend playing Genesis Hockey with @angryjay93 I got back into making/improving roms. This first one is my personal ultimate NHL '94 rom. It has the 24 Teams plus Wales and Campbell All-Star Teams from 1993 but with some retro logos and colors. The ratings are just like the original game. The lines are set with 4 lines in the spirit of the Line Rolling League. The Charlestown Chiefs and Syracuse Bulldogs from the 1977 movie Slapshot are team 27 and 28. All player ratings for both of these teams are maxed out to provide the ultimate challenge to play against. Team 29 is the All-Stars from the Original 6 Era. (my all-time favorite players) Team 30 is the 1977 Atlanta Flames. (my all-time favorite team) The rom is Weight Bug Fixed and the C/B check is eliminated. The B-check won't work with Penalties Off. Player Cards are all new and created by me or @kingraph The ProSet logo is on the scoreboard and in the 3-stars screen. The Playoff Match-ups have 3 possibilities. A. Actual 1993 Divisional Match-ups. B. Expansion Teams and/or Divisional Rivalries. C. Original 6/WHA/All-Star/Federal Match-ups. NHL'94ultimate.bin

  3. I did not know such a thing existed. I figured out how to do some of it with hex editor, but had to disable check sum which took all night to figure out.

  5. Small world. I used to run my annual NHL94 tournament in Green Bay until 2020. I've sang the national anthem at the Gamblers games several times. I also work alongside Amy Mikesh as the public address announcer for Bay Port Hockey. I talked to coach Mikesh last night during our senior night banquet. I can't wait to give this rom the ole college try. I'll probably be at the game on Saturday night. I told both Coach and Amy about this rom. They were very interested in seeing it in action.

  8. Naples, your roms are excellent. Naples and/or Brad, Here is how to fix the music. All you need is a Hex Editor and follow this post. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/11307-how-to-change-and-view-nhl-94-sound-effects-and-music/ I fixed it in all my Historic roms and to me is a must fix. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/17378-all-decade-roms/ http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/17523-classic-and-wbf-plus-94-world-cup-roms/ PM me if you have more questions. Here are the pointers for the songs. 2c824 = Team 1, 9, 16 2c70c = Team 2 2c718 = Team 3 2c71c = Team 4 2c728 = Team 5 2c770 = Team 6 2c734 = Team 7 2c740 = Team 8 2c748 = Team 10 2c754 = Team 11 2c784 = Team 12 2c788 = Team 13 2c764 = Team 14 2c798 = Team 15 2c7a0 = Team 17 2c7ac = Team 18 2c7bc = Team 19 2c7c4 = Team 20 2c7e4 = Team 21 That is where my notes stop. But you can follow post #8 in this thread from there. As you can see some teams share a song and you just have to deal with it. Whoever is in in the #1, 9, and 16 slot will have the same song. I think a couple others after that do also. Hope this helps.

  10. LOL, I agree that the song does suck, but it's what they use. I would prefer to replace it with something like "Get Ready" by Rare Earth.

  11. Oh God, not that annoying Blackhawks song. Please, no. I can't understand why so many people like that song. I think it's a terrible goal song. The Rangers goal song is 1000x better. Put that in, if anything.

  12. Sure it's possible. Go here: http://nhl94.com/html/editing/edit_iso.php The problem is that there is no program like NOSE for the .iso, which would make things faster and easier. And unfortunately, AFAIK, there is no .bin to .iso convertor. I wish the hacking gurus here could give us an updated .iso I really like the sound quality of the CD over the ROM, plus it would be really cool to put in custom music, like the new song the Blackhawks use, when a goal is scored.
