  2. Hey Fastlane, thanks for the feedback! You can definitely get some helpful tips and tricks on how to score from the forums here. It helped me improve my game big-time! The new incoming version will be even more difficult to score goals. Because it's impossibe to please all the people all the time, I've actually been thinking of releasing a few patches with the ROM, so that people can play my intended gameplay balance, or patch it for a personally more desirable gameplay profile. Would only do a few patches, something like a "Rookie" balance for folks like you, a "Bettman" balance (less hitting and penalties) for folks like @George, and an "Arcade" balance for people who want the fastest most boistrous experience possible. Something like that. Would that interest anyone?

  3. Apparently it's been two years! I need this reminder! I'll take a look and update for some of the recent releases this week.

  4. This hack allows you to control the stopping distance and turn of a skater when skating from one direction to the opposite (e.g. Up to down, left to right etc.) Normally when this occurs, the skater sprites go into the hockey stop animation. To alter the value, change the bytes 0096 (or 00B4) to ???? hex. The higher the value, the quicker a skater will pull up and turn (possibly in addition to their agility rating). A high enough value will even make the skater change directions so quick it defies Newton's law of Motion. The lower the value, the longer it takes to stop. If you set to 0001, your skater will do a huuuuuuuugggeee hockey stop... then turn (eventually). Note, if do set the value too low... even if you're facing left, then turn right, there can be a delay to respond (counter the current speed) and turn around unless you use the control-pad diagonals to speed up the process. Thanks to Tony H. for this find... not to mention the fact that I didn't even have request this one! 5. There is a new way to play online, without having to install anything. Jam.gg is a service, that runs directly in your Browser (Chrome or Edge are recommended though). You just create an account, which is free right now, and you can select a game on the platform. Or you can use the BYOG (bring your own game) option, to throw in a rom, that you are holding. It is as easy as drag and drop. Supported systems are genesis, snes, N64, PS1 amongst others. Then you can invite a friend by sharing a link and play together. Up to 8 people can be in a room together. Video conference Tools are supported, like Webcam, voice Chat, message Board. You can literally throw in any controller you are having and it will work with the platform. If you try it, let me know what you think. I made some great experiences with the site already. Maybe someone would like to build a small league around it, if there are a few players interested. You can count me in then
