This whole thing came about because I had to fix ten other things in order to fix the one thing I was trying to fix. After getting frustrated trying to find workarounds, I decided to just start making something that will be helpful, and it snowballed from there. I realize we haven't had a roster/image editor since NOSE/EARE were developed. After doing a bunch of experiments, working within my extremely basic programming capabilities and essentially vibe coding, I made this little applet that runs on Chrome (untested on other browsers.) It's a super lightweight roster editor, palette editor and graphics viewer rolled into one (for now). That's the working title: ONE. Online NHL'94 Editor. You should be able to open a rom, do some basic edits as well as have an overview of what your team looks like, and save your results to a new ROM. Features: - ability to edit team info (City Name, Team Name, Abbreviation and Arena) - ability to change team attributes (offensive/defensive advantage, PP/PK etc) - view your team identity: ingame banner, team logo and center ice - change your main menu team banner colours - edit, add and delete players from your roster and their attributes - view individual player portraits - manage line combinations - view team uniforms and alter the palette colours in real time (only the base sprites are available ATM - will implement sprite hacks) Should be compatible with the fight rom changes and smozrom edits. Planned: - viewer for title screens graphics - viewer for main menu graphic - viewer for background tile & Ron Barr - viewer for scoreboard/ other misc graphics - support for player sprite hacks (SWOS, JKline, AC, Drezz etc) - editing the menu options - the ability to add an entire team(s) - a visual facelift and making it PURTY and the big one, hopefully - basic editing for graphics so we don't have to go running to tile molester every single time you want to fix a pixel. SO - I'm looking for some beta testers to give this thing a whirl. Put it through it's paces, break it, bend it, kick it, do whatever. I've never managed something like this before so it would be great to get everyone's input and try and make this thing better and better. I will say this - please do not save OVER your rom. I can't guarantee that there won't be bugs and problems messing with these functions. Shoot me a msg if you're interested.
