I'm starting a project that will absolutely relive my childhood. My first experience with the NHL games starting with NHL Hockey was to watch games on demo mode and track the stats. This was before fantasy sports sim leagues existed (that I knew of). Anyway, I played several 10 game seasons this way, and I bet I still have my results somewhere at my mom's house! But now, I've been working on a ROM that covers the Original 6 seasons from 1955-1960. Each team will play 10 regular season games, a home and home with each other team. The top 4 teams will play in the playoffs (1v4, 2v3, best of 3 game series'). I'm playing 10 minute periods, and I've set all players endurance to zero to hopefully spread the ice time a bit between all 3 lines, and defensive awareness is also set to 0 for all goalies to try to increase scoring just a bit so there's not too many 0-1 games. I'm tracking scoring, fights (I have penalties set to off), hitting leaders, and a few other notable highlights like injuries from hits if I happen to catch them. Bos-4, Tor-3 Tor-2, Bos-5 The Bruins win both games against the Leafs, putting up 9 goals in the 2 games. Leo Labine gets a hat trick in Toronto, as well as an assist in each game. Bronco Horvath had a goal and an assist in each game for 4 pts total. Billy Harris scored 3 of the 4 Leafs goals. Leo Boivin had 21 hits in the 2 games combined. Chi-2, Nyr-2 Nyr-0, Chi-3 The Rangers struggled to score on Glenn Hall who registered a shutout and gave up just 2 goals in the 2 games, but they still managed to tie one of the games, earning a point. Litzenberger had a goal in each game, and Bobby Hull had a pair of assists. Ted Lindsay had 28 hits combined, though Lou Fontinato had 17 hits in the first game alone. The 2 game series was very rugged, featuring 6 fights, 4 in the first game. But the 2nd game featured the most surprising fights, as Gus Mortson got the win over Andy Hebenton of all people, a former Lady Byng winner! But I guess you don't want to poke the bear, as Hebenton came back at Mortson later in the game, leaving him bloodied after their 2nd scrap and forcing him to the locker room for the remainder. Det-1, Mon-0 Mon-3, Det-2 The goalies Sawchuk and Plante stole the show in Detroit, with Norm Ullman the only one to get the puck past Plante. In fact, Ullman was also the only one to score for Detroit in the 2nd game, giving him 3 goals, with Howe assisting on 2 of them. All 3 Habs goals came in Montreal, with Beliveau getting 2 of them. In fact, Ullman and Beliveau did not just compete on the scoresheet, they went head to head on the ice as well! It started with Ullman knocking out Rocket Richard in a fight, which Beliveau avenged with a crushing bodycheck, sending an injured Ullman to the locker room for the rest of the game. It did not end there as the two traded punches in the 2nd game, with Ullman getting the better of it! Rocket Richard was mysteriously absent from the scoring sheet, but it's because he really had a rough go of things, losing the fight to Ullman in the first game, and 2 Red Kelly less than 2 minutes into the 2nd game! The physical dominance did not end there for the Red Wings, who ultimately won all 7 fights between the two teams, including Gordie Howe dropping Bert Olmstead, and Benny Woit scoring what has to be considered an upset over an aging Butch Bouchard, right as Bouchard dished the puck to Marcel Bonin for a goal! That's right, Bouchard gets 5 for fighting and an assist at the same time on the clock, you don't see that every day!

Nyr-1, Bos-0 Bos-0, Nyr-4 After putting up a league high 9 goals in the first 2 games, the Bruins can’t muster a single goal in 2 games against Gumper and the Rangers. Bathgate and Henry established themselves as a nice tandem, with Bathgate netting 2 in the 2nd game, and Henry combining for 3 points over the 2 games. Fern Flaman dished out nearly 30 bone crunching hits, including putting Harry Howell out of action for nearly the entire 2nd game. Tor-1, Mon-2 Mom-3, tor-2 The leafs were competitive against the Habs but came up a goal short on both games. Mahovlich scored in both games, and for the Habs Rocket Richard did the same and added an assist as well. The 2nd game got ugly with NINE separate fights! The fights told quite a story, with Maurice Richard getting KOd yet again in the first game, but coming back in the 2nd game to score a Ko of his own over Dicky Duff! Sloan and Johnson, who won the first two fights of the game, tangled in a long bout that was considered a draw! chi-2, Det-3 Det-1, chi-2 these two teams were very evenly matched, splitting the home and home 1-1, with both teams scoring 4 goals total. Ron Murphy had both goals in a losing effort for Chicago, and in the 2nd game Ted Lindsay’s Gordie Howe hat trick led them to victory, ironically against Gordie himself. In fact, Lindsay knocked OUT Red Kelly in both games, but lost a bout to Gordie in revenge, which completed the Gordie for Howe as well in the first game! Alex Delvecchio led the Wings to their victory; with 2 goals and an assist, in on all 3 Detroit goals.

Понятно что я вратаря хоккейного нарисовал?) - Логотип ЕА Спорт заменил в рамке информационной о матче на Retrogame hockey sports +3) я цвет льда сделал более реалистичным на мой вкус. Обновление в NHL 97++: - изменен дизайн команды RU 97 (Дизайн наименование команды, логотип в меню паузы и лого на поле. - добавлена бонусная команда SEGA ALL STARS (код = A+B+C+START в главном меню) со своим дизайном формы, составом игроков, логотипами и т.п. Тестировал на эмуляторе, активно играю на прошитой Snes mini (ретроарч). поэтому + сделал новую обложку для меню Snes mini Даешь пиксельный хоккей между RU97 и SEGA ALL STARS!)
