  1. Thanks, I checked a lot of that stuff out. Anything with Hex editors looks like hieroglyphics to me haha. I definitely cut corners using the roster tool and ROM editor tool.
  2. Today is the day I have been waiting for since last Summer. The All-Time Greatest Players ROM is finally being released! Some notes about the ROM: 28-team ROM replacing Campbell and Wales All-Star teams with Original Six and Expansion All-Time All-Star teams. I used the 70s Orange/White/Black All-Star jerseys for the Original Six and the 95-96(Purple/Black and Teal/white) All-Star jerseys for the Expansion jerseys. Used different team/same franchise jerseys including DAL/MIN, QUE/COL, HFD/CAR, WPG/PHX Home jerseys are light jerseys, regardless if it was ever their home or away jersey Included some fan favorites over others(i.e. Terry O'Reilly, Bob Probert, Wendel Clark) but did my best with including HOFs. It was really tough for the Original Six teams for sure. Some players were great but didn't make the cut due to others with more Cups, All-Star votes, stats leaders, and/or HOF. Some players appear on multiple teams but the attributes are different depending on the team(i.e. Gretzky better on EDM than LA). Players in general would need to have played at least 3+ seasons with the team to be included. Most players have Endurance of 3. If anyone uses this ROM for line changes let me know. I'll need to edit the Endurance for everyone and that will change their Overall score. I didn't want everyone to have inflated Overall due to Endurance. I tried to keep some famous lines together which will reflect if line changes are on. Otherwise I just made the best available line based on overall. Players have abbreviated first name with their full last name(i.e W Gretzky). I have not updated player cards yet but might do so in the future. I hope to 'port' this to Gens once I get a handle on NOSE. Now all teams have first initial, full last name. Update 1/31/22: Version 4.2(4.1 had 2 injury player replacement issues that were fixed) 3 names were corrected due to typos 45 players handedness was corrected - The main ones were M. Richard, Cook brothers, Carlyle, and Stamkos. All others were mainly bench players. Updated 10/5/22: Version 4.3 is attached here with the following updates: Team/Player updates: NYR-Flipped Bill and Bun Cook as they were incorrect in previous versions QUE/COL-Removed Erik Johnson and replaced him with Cale Makar TOR-Removed Bob Pulford and replace him with Auston Matthews EXP(Expansion All-Star team)-Removed Peter Forsberg and replaced him with Brett Hull Updated through 21-22 season(McDavid, Marchand, Barkov, Huberdeau, Kucherov, Hedman, Vasilesvky, Makar, Bergeron, Matthews all increased) Fixed weight for the majority of players thanks to @dangler for noticing this Slightly updated Team Ranking Sheet attached and shown below. Trimmed down ANH and FLA to 18 players so I didn't have to abbreviate any names. This allows me to continue to use statto's ROM editor for future updates. 3. I've updated the jerseys and made some other minor tweaks and fixes. Look for an official post tomorrow! So glad it's FINALLY done!
  4. I'm also from just outside of Boston. This is a cool site. I just signed up for the free version and will check it out over the next few days.
  5. Hey Guys, I'm starting to work on updating jersey colors for my All-Time Greatest ROM. I thought I saw a link posted somewhere on there which showed jersey colors pretty cleanly from over the years but I've been unable to find it in searches and looking in the ROM hacking section of the forum. Am I dreaming or was there something like this posted somewhere? Thanks, KW
  6. Everything is done! I just need to play around see if I need to adjust any attributes or find any bugs. I may or may not spend some time next week on jersey colors. I'm not sure how to change any menus or player pictures so I will probably skip both of those. I will be testing all of next week with a release of hopefully Friday 1/29. If any admins wish to help me test out the ROM please message me on discord. Otherwise stay tuned until the end of next week! PS-The Panthers and Ducks have extremely abbreviated names i.e. T Slne(Teemu Selanne), S Rcn(Steve Rucchin) etc. Not sure if I'm able to fix that without some help. All other players on other teams have a first initial and full last name.
  7. FINALLY got the attributes done. Holy crap that was a painstaking process. Now I need to spend this week and next week on setting the lines. Then the ROM should be ready for testing. I'm hoping to have the ROM completely finished by the end of January.
  8. All set! I've updated the OTT rosters. I'm onto NYR alphabetically for setting the attributes for forwards. Goalies are already done. Once F's are done it's time for D-men! With my kid finally back at daycare I finally have the time, for the first time since Xmas eve, to get this ROM done. Once attributes are completed I just need to set the lines up manually and then get the ROM ready for testing. I'm not including any custom menus or anything like that as of right now. My goal is to get the players in there for a fun ROM. Maybe I'll revisit after but will most likely need someone's help.
  9. Team Name: Boston Bruins LD: Igor Kravchuk RD: Matt Schneider LW: Paul Ysebaert C: Gary Roberts RW: Sergei Fedorov X: Dimitri Khristich 3rd D: Dimitri Yushkevich G: Tom Barrasso Duplicates: Paul Ysebaert can be changed to #12 Scott Niedrmayer can be changed to #30
  10. Thanks for your input. I'll see what I can do. You make some very valid points here. Stay tuned. I'm almost there.
  11. I decided to include players on multiple teams if necessary. Guys like Gretzky, Messier, Bure, Hawerchuk, Bobby and Brett Hull, just to name a few. They would have slightly different stats between the two teams.
  12. I was hoping to have this finished by end of year, and that might still happen, but the attributes are taking longer than expected. I was able to play a demo game between ANH and BOS which was fun. After the attributes are set up I will then need to edit lines so the game loads properly. After that I'm going to 'QA' and see how skaters and goalies play. After that I might have to tweak/nerf some attributes accordingly. tl;dr- It's almost done!
  13. So would there be a cap of 28 teams combined then if it’s all one single draft consisting of A and B?
  14. When trying to load my updated rosters CSV and using the default nhl94 ROM to make the new ROM I've been receiving an error saying 'There is not enough player space to add (player's name) for team ANH. You are 6 player bytes short.' He's on row 19. I was hoping to have 25 players per team(3G, 14F, 8D). Is that not possible due to a certain byte cap? All I really want to do is a roster update to include these all-time rosters for each franchise.
  15. @chaos This might be a dumb question, but when importing an updated rosters CSV does every team have to have the same number of players as the original ROM? For example, ANH with 18 players, BOS with 24, DET with 25, etc. I'm working on a ROM and have 25 players per team. If I have to trim the fat for each team I can but was hoping to avoid that.
  16. I’d be down if you had the additional B league.
  17. Try downloading the ROM directly from the nhl94.com homepage. For some reason that's the last hurdle some of these guys have had to get over.
  18. The rosters are finalized! Check the original post for the link.
  19. Just WSH and WPG left and then the attributes begin!
  20. Another rough week in work. However I have completed ANH through TOR regarding the rosters and lines. I just have VAN, WSH, and WPG left to do and then I'll be able to start working on the attributes. I think this will take the longest as I have to research each player's stats during the years they were with the team they appear on, consider any accolades during these years, and compare with other players in the league during the same time period. I'm getting there guys...I'm getting there. Stay tuned.
  21. I'm slowly getting there. Busy season is starting to slow down now that school is back in session. Rosters are finalized from ANH through QUE. Hoping to get the rest completed by the end of this week. Then I can begin working on the attributes based on CoachMac's post here: https://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/18123-ratings-template/ The final part would be to put all of this into the ROM. I may work on jerseys and stuff like that after the initial release. I'm hoping to have this done, realistically, by end of the calendar year as this is my first ROM. I may be reaching out to some of the vets here when(not if) I run into some hurdles.
