  1. I tried to extract MAINDESK.IFF into a WAV file, only for this error to pop up. Is there anything I can do?
  2. Just started an AI vs AI match involving the Lumberjacks and Aviators, and right away... honestly... that rendition of the main theme almost made me cry because of how beautiful it sounds. I also had the idea of making a rom using fantasy rosters, but with the actual NHL teams. However, that can be easier said than done.
  3. Oh, okay, thanks. I saw an extra 4 that wasn't there, instead of the second one.
  4. It’s a rom hack I was working on using the 30 team rom as a base because I was told not to use the 26 (28) team rom.
  5. Alright, I might do that when I have the patience. The whole “faking getting more channels” thing may be difficult by simply hex editing. Interesting.
  6. I would like to find a way to replace the main theme of NHL 94 with Something Good, which you sent a midi of. Unfortunately, I find the guide you sent very convoluted. May I please have a visual guide on all the steps? I see myself as a visual learner.

  7. Ahhh, okay. I wanted to replace the main theme because that's what Drezz was able to do.
  8. Looks like something went weird with the copy/paste, as using the link to save it all of a sudden worked
  9. I had to create it myself by copying and pasting the script, since the script on your Github cannot be downloaded
  10. Sadly, based on this error, Mido cannot be installed:taxError: invalid syntax
  11. I think you've fooled everyone. There is no such offset as 040E.
  12. This video is proof that I didn't put in any incorrect information when trying to get the palette. Desktop 2023.03.07 - 21.31.12.01.mp4
  13. I went through each step as described in the reference image for that splash screen.
  14. This actually isn't my first time. It's, in fact, my first time in a long time. I don't think I'd be able to do that without leaving out teams that played in the 1993-94 season out of the rom. I have Adam's rom, but that is all I could find.
  15. I think it's dead because there hasn't been a new version in almost 13 years. Where can I find that guide? Searching up "Ronn Barr" does not show the guide in the results.
  16. Is this program dead? If so, that's unfortunate, as I would have loved to be able to edit the credits and Ron Barr texts.
  17. I had the bright idea of using the 30 team rom... for a hack that only has 26. This is because I was told to use it because that's the one where the ID for the splash screen is known. I followed wboy's guide to get the colours of the EA Sports splash screen... only to get an incorrect palette full of pink and red, and not the colours seen in his guide. Is there anything I am doing wrong, or is his guide impossible to follow? If the results ARE impossible to replicate, where is the splash screen in the base rom? That way, I can still have an edited splash screen.
  18. Sorry for the necroposting, but I tried replicating the results in the EA Sports splash screen image... except I got this result. Here's what I did: I loaded the rom. Then I changed the canvas size to 40x28. I changed the codec to 4bpp linear. I went to the offset where the EA Sports logo was. I imported the palette from the existing rom. And yet, this was the result. What am I doing wrong?
  19. When I try to play a video, the set claims that JavaScript is disabled... except it is, in fact, enabled.
  20. No, it was a Windows update that broke NHL 2002. Copying that file cannot be done, as Windows will prevent me from completing it by way of needing permission… from myself. I use an nVidia card, and I always try to keep it up to date whenever I can. I believe the motherboard I have is an MSI one.
  21. The only way I've been able to play it was with virtualization using VMWare. However, I want to play the game on the host machine. Also, did you see the link I sent?
