  1. I first want to preface by saying I know basically nothing about ROM Hacking, but I do have some tools and I am familiar with the SNES. Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run on SNES is one of my favorite games of all time. If there's one thing that I wish the game had was updated Rosters, as well as all 30 Teams, (Currently it only has 28.) However, nobody has figured out how to add more teams to the team select. The good news is, the missing teams do exist in game, as they are "unlockable" in a sense through a secret mode, but they aren't playable. So, in other words, it would be a sort of "Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run 2022" or something like that. Along with updating the Team Select Menus, there are also issues such as updating team logos. Since they are fully rendered-3D, It would be difficult to replicate them (I've tried through my own Pixelart strategies.) Although there probably is a way to take a 3D model, and then take pictures of it rotating, then rendering them in 16-bit, but I haven't figured out how to do that. There also comes to fixing the Playoff Format, since it only contains one Wild Card Team per Conference, it would need to be adjusted to allow 2 Wild Card Teams + An additional Playoff Round. Additionally, the Schedule would have to be made to allow Interleague games. The base game is created so the regular season only allows you to play against teams withing the same conference as you. An additional bar would have to be made so the schedule can allow the occasional Interleague game as well. There are many other changes that would have to be made, but if the game got this treatment, that would be sick. I am first curious as to how anyone would get started on this, as well as if anyone themselves has already gotten to work on a project like this/hopes for the same thing as I do. For thos who are interested, I also have made a Discord dedicated to the Ken Griffey Jr series, where I will additionally be focusing on this type of project. It's kinda dead, but it's not a server that's really meant to be active unless something actually gets made, but anyone is welcome to join. Anyways, I'm interested in hearing your guys' thoughts. I'm excited to hear what you all have to say. Peace. Discord: https://discord.gg/5hf8U4qC5k
  2. I know someone already working on something similar, but I want to see Tecmo Super Bowl III on SNES have a 32 Team ROM Hack, with 18 Week Seasons and 7-Seed Playoffs.
  3. Ah, it's nice to hear something from this thread after a while. I'm still super hyped for this. Feel free to take as much time as you need, programming is by no means an easy task. I want a playable 32 team version of TSBIII as well, and while I wish I could help, I know basically nothing about programming myself. Hope things are well and I am excited for updates. Thank you. Stay safe
  4. Love it! Wish the SNES version could be hacked, I'm definitely more of a SNES guy. I noticed the Coyotes use their old logo instead of the modernized one.....was this choice deliberate? Or was it made to accomodate for the Coyotes jumping ship in the next few years? Either way I believe that logo is outdated. Regardless, still really cool and I hope a SNES ROM gets made. Thank you. Stay safe
  5. Hello, Just found this project. Very cool! I'll play it more extensively when I get time. First thoughts are it obviously has somethings that are missing/need a little bit of tweeking, but that will come in time. One thing I notice is Logo updates. Lol I love 2000 NFL Logos as much as the next guy but I'd like to see them with a fresh coat of paint. Also some voice clips need to be filled, which will be difficult, unless some of you out there have good announcer impersonations. I think the 32 Team ROM overall looks super nice and I cannot wait for the next round of updates! Thank you. Stay safe
  6. UPDATE: Actually I looked into it. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Arizona Diamondbacks actually exist as teams in game, and are currently in playable form. If you complete a season and then input the code: A, B, X, Y, Up, Down, Select, on the Title Screen, 4 Hidden Teams are available to the player. This makes a 30 team ROM incredibly easy to achieve, it'll just require making the 2 hidden teams available from the get-go, as well as some general clean ups and stuff. If you want proof of these existing, you can access them easily on Game Genie witht the code: DC6E-4F03 (Go to the team select Menu and press down below Blue Jays.) I looked for a long time and I cannot find any footage of a complete season with the unlocked teams on YouTube, so I don't know if it's completely true, but we do know the 2 missing teams do exist in game and in playable form. EDIT: There is no concrete evidence of the Hidden Teams unlocking upon completing a full 162 Game Season. There are multiple sources claiming such, but no images/footage exists of such a thing occuring. The teams are confirmed to exist, as using a Game Genie does indeed grant access to seeing them. The teams do exist, it's just whether you can access them in-game is questionable. Just figured I'd clarify.
  7. I want to see this request, and have all 30 Teams instead of just 28. It would be hard to do and take a lot of time, (Plus the Spinning Logo animations would likely have to be re-rendered) but I want to see it happen. If you want I can help, though I don't know much about programming and am more interested in spritework
  8. Hello, So since the original TecmoBowl.org Site is back up, will updates on the project continue again specifically on there? Thank you. Stay safe
  9. Hm, that project sounds interesting. Hope it all goes well! In the meantime, can't wait to see how TSB4 turns out, and I'll be sure to give it a try when it does get released.
  10. That sounds pretty siick. I don't know how I entirely feel about the design overall being different, as I want to enjoy what I'm used to, but a SNES Game with a 32 Team update sounds really cool. Cannot wait until it gets released. Any idea when it should be ready by? Or is it too early to know?
  11. Hang on, I'm really interesed in your project about adding an additional 2 Teams to Tecmo Super Bowl 3. But I am confused as it is a part of a thread about Tecmo Super Bowl IV, which appears to be a fan project. Is the idea of adding 2 Teams to TSB3 a part of IV, or is it its own separate project. If it is, I am very interested. It's always been my dream to play Tecmo Super Bowl III with all 32 Teams and updates Helmets and Logos.
