  1. Yeah I sent them PMs and sdogg answered back to let me know he's not going to play this season. MAX4000 is nowhere to be found. These guys will be replaced this week.
  2. Yeah there sure has been some nice weather out. The idea with the shorter time between checkpoints was to get the playoffs over and done with before the summer comes and people are harder to find, but it looks like that won't be the case, with a lot of guys falling behind. I think I'm not going to be replacing coaches until I see them fall really behind (at this point if you have 0 games played you run the chance of being replaced), and I know a lot of the guys on this list will get their games in at some point, so right now it's more of a reminder as to where I would like to see teams at.
  3. Here is the list of coaches who have not yet made the checkpoint, and the amount of games needed. Coaches in RED are coaches who had also missed the first checkpoint. Second Checkpoint of 10 Games is May 3, 2010 GENS-A: angryjay93 - 6 gms Louie14 - 6 gms - He has given me a heads-up Flamingpavelbure - 6 gms Carse - 4 gms IceStorm NHL94 - 6 gms flasox24 - 3 gms BoKnowsNHL94 - 10 gms GENS-B: nasinater - 2 gms donnybrook - 7 gms beavers33 - 7 gms - Has given me a heads-up nationals1 - 7 gms houli - 1 gm GENS-C: Jimdawg47 - 4 gms Dragon - 1 gm sdogg420420 - 10 gms fernquist69 - 7 gms MAX4000 - 10 gms SNES-A: dangler - 3 gms - Has given me a heads -up prodigyof94 - 8 gms houli - 8 gms korovamilkbar - 10 gms masterof94 - 2 gms SNES-B: Volly - 1 gm beavers33 - 7 gms - Has given me a heads-up hokkee - 1 gm Alot of the guys on this list are regulars, and are always around. Try to get as many games in as you can. I would like the league to run smoothly and it's hard when a lot of guys are missing games! I know that it has been tough with the NHL91 draft going on and NHL playoffs, but please let me know if there are other issues. I will update this list as games are played. You can post your availability times in this thread or in the Schedule A Game forum. I will be sending an email and PM out to those who have yet to play a game, and I have a few replacement coaches ready.
  4. OK thanks for the heads up.
  5. You are 3-8 and 4 out of 5 teams make the playoffs. Give yourself a chance, try to get better, and make a run in the playoffs. You were a 7 seed in blitz and made the finals, why cant you do the same in classic?
  6. Wow 6, 7, 8 seeds advance. Has that ever happened? Halak played another awesome game. He has definitely been the difference in this series.
  7. Have you tried to register for Spring Classic? I don't see your user name on there. I'll be on AIM in a little bit and try to contact you.
  8. Thanks to those who got their games in this weekend. For the rest of you, you need at least 10 games by Checkpoint 2 (end of May 2nd).
  9. Yeah no problem. Just try to get the 10 games in by next weekend.
  10. Here is the list of coaches who have not yet made the checkpoint, and the amount of games needed. First Checkpoint of 5 Games is April 25, 2010 GENS-A: Zalex - 3 gms angryjay93 - 1 gm Louie14 - 5 gms Flamingpavelbure - 1 gm Carse - 1 gm IceStorm NHL94 - 3 gms flasox24 - 5 gms BoKnowsNHL94 - 5 gms GENS-B: nasinater - 2 gms donnybrook - 3 gms beavers33 - 2 gms nationals1 - 2 gms GENS-C: mcolligan - 1 gm sdogg420420 - 5 gms fernquist69 - 2 gms MAX4000 - 5 gms SNES-A: dangler - 3 gms prodigyof94 - 5 gms houli - 3 gms korovamilkbar - 5 gms masterof94 - 5 gms SNES-B: maverick_z - 1 gm beavers33 - 5 gms The first checkpoint is basically a warning, but those of you who miss the second checkpoint (10 games at the end of May 2nd) , or 2 consecutive checkpoints, will face the risk of replacement. I will update this list as games are played. You can post your availability times in this thread or in the Schedule A Game forum. Kudos to Pondhcky1, who has played a whopping 27 games in the first week!
  11. Thanks, I forgot about this one. I'll change it later.
  12. Good sportsmanship indeed. Everyone gets mad when they make a mistake in the game. The thing is, you don't take it out on the other player. It's a game, and we are all playing for fun. At the end of the day, losing at NHL94 does not affect your outcome in life. Instead of putting down players with "I shouldn't be losing to your type", respect the fact that the guy on the other end played better than you did. Give him a good game, maybe bring up some points on what you could have done differently, or what they did that really stymied you. Some people might get on your nerves, but you need to relax and not let it get to you. If it's that important to ya, just get better at the game. That's what all the top players have done. The important thing is, it's a game in the end, and the fact that we have such a great community to be able to play a great game against people with such different styles and skills should not be taken for granted.
  13. yes I was thinking about this too. It is up to them.
  14. Well you guys had 6 on your sched instead of 3. You appeared to play 5. 4 of them were split and the last one was won by buf. I can remove 2 of the 4 that you split, where you each will have won one of those games, or I can remove all 4 and you can play 2 more times. Up to you guys. I'm really sorry about this. I thought I had checked everyones schedule but seems like I didn't.
  15. Whoa big mistake. My fault. Freydey got your Buffalo games for some reason. I will fix this later.
  16. This appears to happen randomly with ZSNES. Were you both running the same version of the emulator?
  17. I have created some Hamachi networks for each league level. GENS-A Network: Spring 2010 GENS-A Password: nhl94 GENS-B Network: Spring 2010 GENS-B Password: nhl94 GENS-C Network: Spring 2010 GENS-C Password: nhl94 SNES-A Network: Spring 2010 SNES-A Password: nhl94 SNES-B Network: Spring 2010 SNES-B Password: nhl94
  18. Yea don't worry about it I will take care of it.
  19. Last goal given up in regulation was an easy save - misplayed by the goalie. That last goal by the habs was sick!! The fact that the habs have been able to play with the capitals is impressive. This is going to be a tough series.
  20. Ahh, I forgot to do something. My fault. I will correct it in a few minutes. EDIT: Fixed. Points should now register and standings have been updated.
  21. Hey Guys, Later tonight I am going to make some hamachi networks for the leagues. Since we have less than 20 in each league, everyone should be able to join it. I will post here and let you guys know what the name / passwords are.
  22. Team schedules are up and games can now be logged on the nhl94online site. For those of you who have forgotten how the site works, or for the new coaches in the league, a game is logged as follows: 1. Contact the coach you would like to play on AIM. You can find their AIM by going to the nhl94online.com site. Choose the Classic '94-Spring 2010 league from the drop-down "League Selection" menu on the menu bar. Choose the "League Level" you have joined in the left-hand column and click on your Team. Your "Coach Page" should come up, and you can see which teams you have games remaining against. Click on that team's name in the left-hand column and that team's coach page should load. On the right hand side of the page, there is an area which contains the coach's AIM name. You can contact them in this manner to schedule a game. 2. Play the game. Play the game against the selected coach. Once the game is complete, it is the home team's responsibility to log the game. This is done on the "Coach Page" that displays your schedule. By clicking on your team's name in the left-hand column, you access your "Coach Page". Games that you have at home will have a "Log a Game" link next to it. Choose the game that has been played, and record the score. Type in your password to log the game. Once this is done, the away team needs to "Confirm" the game by clicking on the game link on their schedule and typing their password. This will effectively complete the logging of the game. NOTE: If the score is incorrect, the away team has the option to change the score. Once they do this, the home team needs to "Reconfirm" it in order for it to count towards the season. Checkpoints The season will be 40 games long. In an effort to keep interest up in the league, and keep the league moving smoothly, we will have WEEKLY CHECKPOINTS. You are required to play 5 games a week. If you miss 2 checkpoints in a row, you will run the chance of being replaced. This is to help finish the playoffs before the time of the year where everyone disappears and it is hard to get games in (summer). I do not think this is asking much, and most of the guys in the league are easy to reach and are active in the forums. If you cannot find a coach and would like to try to schedule a time to play, please use the "Schedule a Game" forum or send them a message on AIM. Please make an effort to reach your checkpoints! Playoffs In all league levels, the top 4 teams in each "division" make the playoffs, with the division winners taking the top 2 seeds. This makes it easy to make the playoffs, as GENS-B, C, SNES-A, and B only have 5 teams in a division. For the new coaches, the rules of the league are posted at: http://www.nhl94online.com/html/rules.php That's about all. Good luck to everyone and lets hope for another successful season! If there are any website problems or questions, please PM me or AIM : Rage93.
