Okay... Let's steer this back to how B players can improve. And really how we can get this game even more competitive. CB is it's own debate and it seems pretty heated. Personally I think it has opened up the pool of players greatly and made drafts much deeper and more interesting. While it is an exploit, so are most of the other things Raph listed above. I'd say rebound goals are the grossiest goals in 94, a true hack that makes one vomit in their mouth everytime one is scored. But I digress, let's get back to ideas on closing the skill gap.

If you're thinking keeper league what about dynasty league style. Back in the day sungod used to run dynasty and the plan was to have the next season have nhl95 player ratings. This isn't very hard to do either you basically copy the players into the 94 rom. I'd love to play with forsberg etc.

Great point that the pool is not expanding. I don't love slackers either but it's always been part of the game except in small leagues. You can't have the best of both worlds with this. Maybe if we tried to expand the community rather than complain about guys with 2 wins slacking and banning em for life.

I'm in for whatever. Another option you should put up is reduced penalty minutes that reflect how long the game actually is. So to set the proportions we could have 30 second penalties. 2 PIM/60 mins=0.0333~ 15 min * 0.033 =0.5 0.5*60s=30s

It seems like we can basically predict the standings in most leagues. And its been particularly tough for B players to really break through with A players. Though a few guys have been getting better and better constantly (Brutus, Tex) are A for sure. Why is this though? Stronger offense? Stronger Defense? Goalie Control? Or overall vision? I feel like a lot of B players are close. What if A players helped mentor B players, especially guys struggling but playing their games.

I played around with the idea of having a game featured each week on twitch tv. But this idea died somewhere. Twitch tv was a very nice platform for live games. But the person recording will need to set this up and that involves installing some software etc. Highlights would be sweet but we need an easy way to make it happen or it won't happen.

Wow wtga. Very shitty to see you go! People dropping like flies these days . 2on2 days were amazing, you'll definitely be very missed. Hopefully this is just a hiatus and not a perma goodbye.
