  1. Ah s**t...I mean the Sharks...with Kisio and Falloon. Sorry about that. I still remember the Ron Bar comments from the Sega CD. He told me that Kisio might be old or something like that
  2. I kinda like the Ducks. There average score is kinda low but they have some hard hitters out there. A friend who picked that team surprised me a couple of times when we played togetter.
  3. Sorry for my late introduction here. My name is Jeroen and I am from Holland (or Netherlands as they call it in English speaking countries) I am a huge gamefreak but I am not spending money on games anymore. I used to own every console out there and I even had some Arcade cabinets. Because I got fed up with all those consoles, cables, controllers, cartridges etc..I've been selling stuff lately. I just want one PC full of NES, SNES, AMIGA, Commodore 64, Mastersystem, GBA or Genesis games. I grew up with the Commodore 64 and was hooked on games like Barbarian, Bubble Bobble, Last Ninja and many more. Later I got my Sega 16 bit and rented the game NHL 94 in some videostore. I rented it so many times that I think I could have bought it for at least 5 times....untill I seen it laying in some shop in Amsterdam(n). Because many friends loved this game so much I bought a 4-way-play adaptor and 2 extra joypads. We had many EPIC battles in the past and now...looking back on my gaming history...it is save to say that NHL 94 is my most played game EVER!!!! My other fav. games are the Metal gear solid series, Road Rash, Zelda on SNES and Ocarina of time. I was very surprised to see a site that honoured this great NHL version.
  4. COOL...I played that game also on the Amiga It was very well done. Here it is: http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=1125
  5. Any of you guys ever played good hockey games on the Amiga, Commodore 64 or other computers? I played many many matches of Ice Hockey on the good old C64: http://www.lemon64.com/games/details.php?ID=1984 (powerplay hockey USA vs USSR) http://www.lemon64.com/games/details.php?ID=2571 (Superstar icehockey) This was over when I got NHL 94 ofcource
  6. It was a complete takeover and I even think that you could decide if you let the computer pass or shoot by pressing B or C. To bad I always chocked, messed up or got confiused when this happend. In later NHL games on the PS-one and PS-2 you could pass the puck to a player, make that player turn into the computer and become some other player so you can position yourself in a good position for a one-timer or slapshot. Perhaps that was the idea behind the whole thing on NHL 94 but they could not make it to work proper due to the lack of buttons.
  7. Hahahaha Toejam and Earl!!! Now that was one weird and funky game!! Strange enemies (a fat opera singer, some dog in a huge plastic bubble, a woman with her kid in a shoppingcar, strange powerups like tomatoe slingshot, icarus wings or rocketbooster. Never played Panic on planet Funkatron (part II) Streets of Rage had some killer tunes indeed.
  8. As I was lurking in the Bug section of this site...I noticed that: Computer Takes Over Your Puck Carrier is mentioned. I never really tested it or find it worth to test but....but isn't that part of the gameplay? If you would pass the puck and held down a certain button, that the player who gets the puck automaticly changes into the computer??
  9. Sega Megadrive (Genesis) 1. NHL 94 (E.A.) 2. Kid Chameleon 3. Road Rash II Not sure how offtopic you can get here.
  10. Happy the Pappy Birthday mr Admin Thank you for this nice site Greetings from Holland Amsterdam(n)
  11. Rumors are, that you can play a sega cd on an XboX.
  12. Do you guys ever change the position of players? Like putting a left winger on the right or the other way around? I always take out Joe Nieuwendijk and put Gary Robberts in the center because of his off awareness and his shot acc and put Makarov on the wing due to his GREAT passing skills. Perhaps there is some benefit if you switch those wingers depending on if they are a lefty or not. (lefty in hockey means that his left hand is under btw?)
  13. offensive awareness def.!!!! I played with Vancouver once and put Nedved in the center. The guy has no speed or offensive awareness but a 99 accuracy. You have to wait ages before he shows up infront of the keeper
  14. I only need a center with a high acc. and one who weights lighter than 188 lb One winger with a bit of speed and one defender with shotpower. That will make me a happy man.
  15. I also wanna keep the pace of the game at all cost and I never hold the puck long in the keepers hand. I never play with line-change or offside / Icing.
  16. Best moment??? Gotta be that 4 way play thing back in the old days on the Sega. Man...we had some EPIC battles!!!!!!
  17. I have a feeling it gives the players more power or this could be in my head.
  18. Oh...and thou shalt not take this topic so serious
  19. HAHAHAHA..I agree with those rules. I also wanna ad one: thou shalt do your best to break the crowd meter thou shalt always remove Goulet from the starting lineup thou shalt try and win a match without a keeper at least once thou shalt try and score with the keeper at least once thou shalt realise that the lighter players are...the better they check!!!!!!
  20. 164 lb checking power 10 player: Fleury 172 lb checking power 9 player: Roenick, Gretzky and Sweeney 180 lb checking power 8 player:Juneau and LaFontaine 188 lb checking power 7 player: Yzerman 196 lb checking power 6 player: Chelios, Oates and Klima 204 lb checking power 5 player: Bellows 212 lb checking power 4 player: Sandström 220 lb checking power 3 player: Bourque and Lemieux 228 lb checking power 2 player: Steve Smith 236 lb checking power 1 player: Lindros 252 lb checking power 0,0 player: McSorley
