  1. This is looking pretty realistic now.... along with Boston beating Montreal tomorrow...
  2. Good afternoon everybody. I hereby resign from my duties as head coach of the New Jersey Devils. I understand xgrad06 is at the top of the waiting list, and even if he is not, I would like for him to have my team. I have already discussed this with halifax, and he said to post on the forum and have xgrad06 confirm. If xgrad06 confirms, he is the new head coach of the New Jersey Devils, effective immediately. Thanks to everyone for being supportive.
  3. Was is that long ago? I thought that was more like 99 or 2000
  4. nope. OTL wasnt worth a point in 1994. Deserved or not, in 1994 they were saying "teams should get a point for end of regulation" and it didnt happen, so I dont see why it would here either.
  5. hehe yeah, I'm the guy whos usually begging for a longer classic league season... lol Though, with the length of the capitalism league...
  6. Damn right. Gary Roberts = amazing. <3 My Roberts #7 Leafs jersey with the "C" on the front
  7. Confirm, great games! I was up 2-0 in the first game, and then I just got shut out the rest of the way.. 9 unanswered goals
  8. Sounds good, I knew you had 6, I couldnt remember what I had. addisonbr - please change
  9. I thought val was gonna post this, but he hasn't yet and I don't want it to be forgotten @ Boston: Bruins 6 - Devils 3 (I think this is right, val please correct if necessary) @ NJ: Devils 6 - Bruins 5 (OT) Val owned me in game 1, but in game two I had a healthy 5-2 lead with 4 minutes left in the 3rd... and of course I blow it. He tied it up with 3 seconds left! Luckily justice was served and I managed to score early into OT. Great games val, always a pleasure playing you!
  10. er... no.... win = 2 pts tie = 1 pt loss in regulation or OT = 0 points
  11. Nope, no points awarded for OT losses, remember this is NHL 94, so the rules generally follow the NHL rules of that time period.
  12. I was sick all weekend, and still kinda am. 6 games in a week should be no issue though
  13. yeah, not picking the caps was the only series i would disagree with her predictions on...
  14. Can anyone explain exactly how a 2 vs 2 tourney is working??? I cant really play my games until somebody figures that out...
  15. Who? The Sharks?? You're kidding right? That would be one HELL of an upset...
  16. haha wow... I just watched the playoff predictions on TSN... and all four hosts said san jose over pittsburgh in the finals. Maggies picks looked pretty good, no real upsets were picked, except for philly over washington.
  17. They have no chance. No Krusty, no Fisher (the only player on the team who shows any kind of heart), no goalie, and the 3rd worst record in the NHL since the all star break. Ottawa had a team good enough to win last year... but the west was just too powerful. They wont get that kind of chance again until they AT LEAST get a better goalie. That's ALWAYS been Ottawas downfall, right from the beginning. Hasek was the only one they had with any chance of leading them to a cup. Emery was only "good" last year because of volchenkov. He doesn't have to make saves if the shots get blocked... I'm a Leafs fan, and I will cheer for my team whether they're 1st or 30th, but at least I can realize when my team stinks... but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop cheering for them and celebrate when they DO win. I don't like Ottawa, but it's not so much the players I don't like (except for Emery, Krusty and Spezza... and Spezza its only because he always has that "yeah we know we're amazing" smirk on his face when they win a game... I didnt see it much this year though...), it's more the fans. Montreal fans can acknowledge a good game, Ottawa fans just want bragging rights. I say Penguins in the East (Pens and Habs will go to game 7 OT) vs Sharks in the West (I don't like the Sharks, but I think they'll be playing in the finals.)
  18. Hey, at least you have an NHL team in the same state... I'm in KANSAS.
  19. You're not a Vet, though I suppose for the purposes of confirming a connection it doesn't really matter. I don't think?
