  1. The one that <name> has with #10 Bure But then again, clockwise made that one as well xD But yeah, Habs Mr T avatar is cool heh. Best "personal photo" is won by addisonbr though!
  2. omg.. thought your avatar was cool.. almost dropped my jaw through the floor when I saw your personal photo! totally awesome! :D

  3. I don't think it would be a smart move for anyone to distribute illegal serial keys on these (or any other) boards. Just take a stroll through a random torrent site? Shouldn't be too hard to find...
  4. I just tried [E] once again and it was looking good, til 1 minute into the 3rd, and it just hanged. Just as well, that game sure ain't too good. Well well, it's not about that now... Regarding hacking it... Seems like the rom is compressed or something, and I have no idea how to decompress it.. The only viewable text seems to be this crap in the beginning: It was the same thing with NHL 96 for Genesis, but once I got the .smd file converted to a .bin file it was fully viewable.. But since .smc is the only file format for SNES, I can't really figure out what to do, unless you find a decompresser or something, but those are generally made for individual games. You could try and check out http://www.romhacking.net/ but I had no luck there.
  5. I'm guessing you can't disable the analog controller? Might help to try out "JoyToKey" ( http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyTo...h%20Version.htm ) to work around it... Check out the thread below for some related info. Good luck! http://nhl94.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4260
  6. I can't even get it running on Zsnes... It always hangs mid game (same with 95, snes) So editing hasn't been a main priority
  7. Heh, I usually doze off halfway through long posts like that, but I got caught up in the story. Man, his wife sure sounds like a real b***h.. Gotta give the dude some free time, oh well.. Good thing you've got people online to play against!
  8. So... What happened to your friend!? Didn't you get him hooked up and up online??
  9. I'm really not sure. How long has this site been up? Seeing it as I registered "18-January 06" I've been around almost two years. I know I hanged around for some time before I registered. And I have been playing NHL 94 on emulator since probably 2000 or so, and got hold of Mack's SNES hack somewhere around 03-04, I think that's when it was released.. I guess I stumbled across nhl94.com after searching for resources to hack the rom maybe. Really not sure. But I'm happy I found this place.
  10. A good starter would be to turn off caps lock..
  11. Just letting you know I've uploaded some more rom hacks. Including a requested 2on2 and also a 1on1 rom.
  12. The weirdest thing is that, even though VERY different, '94 seem to be the preferred game on both systems. But then again, this is the nhl94.com forums, so who knows, there might be just as many that like the other versions, just that no one has created a community like this yet. I know a lot of people like NHL '93 for Genesis around here. I never owned '94, but played the SNES version a lot at a friends house. I had Elitserien '95 (Genesis) which was awesome since it had a season mode and to top it of it was a game with Sweden's top hockey league. Though it had a lot of flaws (which I don't think I noticed back then) I really enjoyed it. And I also had EA Hockey and NHL '96 (Genesis) and played the hell out of NHL '96. Now, 10+ years later, SNES NHL '94 is without a doubt the hockey game I've played the most. Runner up, by miles, is probably NHL '99 for PC, the last good game by EA imho. Dunno if I had any real point, my hands just kept going. Heh..
  13. I'm assuming you're playing with a keyboard then.. Just assign the controls to some other keys. Easiest way to find keys that work is probably to just launch notepad, keep DOWN and RIGHT pressed and then press some other keys, and that way you'll see which keys will react. Or just buy a cheap game pad, that would probably be the best thing to do. You see, keyboards are divided in "zones" where a number of keys from each zone can be pressed at the same time and these zones are different from one keyboard to another. So either find new keys for controlling the player or other keys for the action buttons. Hope that helps. You should be able to press 6-8 keys simultaneously on a keyboard, just not any 6-8 keys. And this actually goes for both PS2 and USB keyboards.
  14. Not sure about it, but it should be something like this: On the PK2 lines, just "zero out" one of the defenders.. Don't know how this works with as opposed to without line changes. But I mean, you've had to "zero out" one player on each line to get 4on4, right? But if you've only made it 4on4 without line changes then, uhm... My guess is that you'll have to play with line changes to get this to work. Interesting though, wonder if I should try that out for the 3on3 SNES rom, 3 against 1 on a double power play, s**t, that would be HARD!
  15. No broken bones here, I can't even skate!
  16. Nah, it's still not working for me anyway, a 8.38MB file. I keep getting that "No file was selected" or something like that.. After it has been "trying" to upload for 5-10 minutes. Edit.. Ok, so it works fine.. Might be something with larger files then.
  17. Haha, now that would be interesting! Top-down view in a real life hockey game.. Wow, one would get dizzy I think.
  18. What he said: It was just something that popped up.
  19. The Real NHL '94 (2009) This rom is based on the actual 1993-94 season, while the game itself was roughly based on the rosters from the 92-93 season, with a pretty much fictional Florida Panters and a very inaccurate San Jose Sharks. I've based my stats mainly from EA's NHL '95 with a mix of my own. I calculated stats based on players performances from the 94 season. You could consider this a roster update, hehe. I mainly made it for my own personal use, but when I was gonna put the "Ice Hockey" rom here I decided to finish up this one as well. -Reworked rosters, jerseys (almost all jerseys has been at least a little bit altered), all new player stats. -Brodeaur, Osgood, Yashin and more rookies that debuted during the 94 season. -Over all more even teams, and even third lines are pretty decent. Readme: Video preview of the new uniforms and rosters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3378dibIRc Ice Hockey Edition (2009) Features small, medium and large players. Just as in the NES classic Ice Hockey. Though not visually noticeable, you'll sure notice the difference when you play. There are a few way's you'll be able to keep track of which type of player is which while playing. All necessary info can be found in the readme, if you have any questions, just ask. There are only two teams, with all fictional players (thought it might be most fun). The All Star teams are the ones replaced, so the default NHL teams are still there. Detailed readme: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=4213&view=findpost&p=73663 2 on 5 Contains one hacked rom per team. Each rom gives the specific team only two players! Perfect for two friends to battle through the Stanley Cup, or just to give a more challenging single player experience. In case you're stuck with an old version of this, along with misc fixes, these are some additions: -All Star teams are included (still not available in playoff) -Works with line changes -Default home team is the same as the selected rom 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and the 3 on 3 roms Jeff wanted a 2on2 rom, so I've put one together, I made a 1on1 rom as well, in case it would get requested later. 1on1 features only one center on each team, 2on2 is C+LW and 3on3 is all three forwards, no defenders, so it's all offense baby! NHL.94.2k6-SE (predecessor to the "juiced" rom) This is a rom I worked on last year.. All players have 100 on all stats, so expect some fast paced hockey with great passing and hard shots! The thing is I made custom rosters, a kind of All Stars rom, with the great players that played for each team during the past decade or so. I might have favored swedes in this rom, for that I apologize. I'm not sure if I ever intended to release this rom. But I figured, why not. I know I had a lot of fun with these "perfect" players. I recommend playing with line changes on/auto 2007 All Star Teams I made this in spring, not sure why I didn't release it at that point. Well it's the two All Star teams from the 2007 season. They should be correct as far as it's possible. Uniforms etc. Although I had to improvise on the second set of uniforms as there was only one per team. 20. Howdy. I've taken over Quebec in the SNES A league. First time in an online league. And I'm located in Sweden, Europe (+1).
  21. Hahah.. Oh my god Insanity! Really cool that last one. So you actually did it manually? I thought you used some photoshop feature and had it just to read a text file or something..
  22. Pretty much the same can be done within Steam (from Valve software, anyone who've played half-life or cs should know about this) nowadays with the "new" Community thingy. It's really not a bad idea. In Steam you can enter a chat (for the Community Group your a part of) and then it would be easy to fin someone to match up against. I've used xfire and it worked pretty well, it was over a year ago by now though.
