Here is the rom and what I did to it.

Added PROSET Logo to Scoreboard and 3 Stars. (Raph your patch works on the Original rom!:))

Added Stick tape and eye Patch.

Made Ron Barr ratings accurate? (I think....Choice 4 on Smoz rom)

Added Long Overtime (60 minutes, 99 seems silly and looks dumb to me)

Changed opening defaults to Buffalo vs Anaheim, 2 Head to Head, Penalties ON, no offsides (Make it easy for Commish)

I can't do the checks thing.  Need Smoz!

Thanks for your hard work but stick tape is some disgusting heresy

Yeah, nothing wrong with booking early as long as there is a full refund.  I think these prices will come down some though.  I recently stayed at the golden nugget for $50 a night and September is a very slow month for Vegas.

    True.

I think a good strategy is too book early through hotels.com or expedia.com etc., but make sure there is a full refund when you book.  Then you have peace of mind, and if something better comes up, you can just cancel.

No. If you book trough those it's way harder to get changes for your room or other shit. Really annoying

Wikipedia says that LCDs don't have significant lag when using VGA or composite inputs. Thoughts? I'm not sure of the response time on LCDs (other than ghosting, which is different..)

"Connection through VGA cable or component should eliminate perceivable input lag on many TVs even if they already have a game mode. Advanced post-processing is non existent on analog connection and the signal traverses without delay." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_lag#Game_mode

That's true of some specific models. Computer monitors are made with input lag in mind, most televisions are not.

Some people like to pretend all games are played in a vacuum.

I know I lost a series to Depch in Classic finals that I played for my first time ever at like 7 am to try to accommodate his time zone differential, and I PLAYED HORRIBLE for MY STANDARDS.  Yes, Depch was a better player than me at that time, but I mean, I STUNK up the place.

I've played vs Plabax, especially in the past, where the CONNECTION was SO bad, you couldn't even rate the play.  HELL, Plabax RAGE QUIT Classic after losing to me, when I was a C checking whore, blamed it on the terrible LAG/ combined with how gay Classic is because of the home/away advantages.  (not stating those advantages/limitations aren't real).

I KNOW Raph isn't one to publicly complain, but at the LIVE tourney, only KG was able to put up much of a game vs him, where NO lag was present.  To ME, I would be surprised if your record vs Raph in a NON-LAG environment would be the same as you remember it now.

SInce you did not use CRT TVs you did not play in a lag-free environment. It is quite likely that your lag was superior to some online games

I think actual skill in defending is more important than the players when it comes to stopping superstars. Guys who struggle against superstars do so consistently no matter who they have.

For example, Icestorm and I are not going to struggle to stop JR with two random guys such as Sandis Ozolinsh and Jeff Brown on D. And for others such as Freydey and KingRaph, they will likely struggle against a superstar player no matter who they have on defense.

It's not about the superstars being too good, it's about knowing how to stop it. On the other hand, I just don't think there is a way to beat the CB check through true skill and not player abusing. In other words, you can't just "know" how to beat the CB check or be good at beating it.

People know it's a great advantage too. That's why all the popularity for Blitz went away. Once people noticed how strong the CB check was, Blitz was no longer desired, because they felt that it was a "better" version of the weight fix in which they could actually get some good body checking teams.

    FTR Jr wasn't stopped lol

Yes, the latter is proven to happen, it happened in GDL and I was astonished what was going on at first, it happened a few times. Not all AI players are better with it, but it might be something to do with chk or one thing I've speculated with agr is that it's how "dirty" the player gets when performing contact as it is also the likelyhood for penalty. Higher agr tends to result in dirtier penalties by referees. It could be speed/timing for the AI check as well. Now I think it is a great feature if it has something to do with the chk attribute.

Btw. Also Otto & Fetisov take Messier down with ease with CB this is experienced in plablegs and they are only +1 in weight, if it was a 100% reverse to C, it would had to be +2. So chk definately might have something to do with AI checking.

Yes CPU checks takes in account the checking rating. Also why Coffey is actually an awful C-B checker
