  1. I said earlier, I like the idea of doing conferences, then based on regular season results make the "A" playoffs and "B" playoffs. That way there's no controversy as to who plays in what league.
  2. Yep, those were by far the highest scoring games I've played on this ROM. Very different game. But I can confirm to both bugs above. Pulling the goalie appeared to negate the icing. I'm 90% sure that he iced it once and it was called. And in a game against LA Robbie, I had the line change issue. I assume it was my own fault because it didn't happen again after that. But if it happened to him as well, then there must be something to it. Lastly, yes, 7 minute periods are the best for this rom. Forces you to use all 3 lines. It helps further prevent the Classic-style game of using one dominant line and being able to dominate the game.
  3. Eggink444 takes NJ. B level, classic league B2.
  4. 12 players after one day of sign-ups... not bad.
  5. You got Detroit. Sign-up in the Global Announcements thread.
  6. Quick update: Me and LA Robbie talked and decided on the teams being first-come, first serve. So going by that, here are the current team selections: LA Robbie: Boston Smozoma: Tampa Bay Kupuck19: Vancouver RedWingDevil: LA Russian Rocket: Montreal Vocally Caged: Washington Comeback King: Chicago Yours truly: Pittsburgh Beavers33: Minnesota danlizhot: Buffalo mav: Detroit Every other team is still available for those interested.
  7. Hey all. I would be willing to help out in any way I could. I would obviously love to play in this league. I'll talk to Robbie about this later, but if you guys that have interest would like to send me your team requests, brob@ymail.com is the email, probob38 on aim, or on here in a PM. We'll do it just like the regular league, give me your top 10 choices in order (top 5 would probably be enough, but if you're picky, go 10) and once we complete an actual registration period one of us could do the drawing.
  8. They better regain the Jets name and logo. No way Atlanta could keep hold of the team, even if it isn't actually official yet. Just look at Phoenix for example. They were struggling at the gate before the relocation threats began, but were still drawing around 15k a game, which I'd say is respectable in that market. But once the relocation threats started flying, the following season they had games where they were drawing under 10k a game, even under 6k on occasion. It'd be stupid to make any more efforts to keep the team in Atlanta. It'll only hurt their market even more. They attempted to revive hockey in Atlanta, it didn't work, time to move on and keep a good market their team back. As for how the divisions would be realligned, what would make the most sense to me is put Winnipeg in the Northwest, move Minnesota to the Central, and put Nashville in the Southeast. I know Detroit and Columbus fans want to be put in the East, but they'd need to be put in the Atlantic or Northeast divisions, which really can't be broken up.
  9. Gross. Anyway... Me and gretzkyonacold were talking about how cool it'd be to do a league with the NHL11 rom over the summer. I know I'd be willing to help in any way I could, even though I'm new.
  10. Yes, I forgot to mention that. To play with line changes we'd need the weight bug fix.
  11. I personally am all for line changes. I think that creates a more strategic and more challenging game. I agree that offsides is just annoying. As another new member, I've never had an issue personally with the vets putting me down, but then again I never really gave an opinion on these forums as I'm usually not one to publically state my take on things. I played my games, got my butt whooped, and moved on. Not creating any kind of excuses for that, but I am all in favor line changes being a part of the game in the future. Overall, I loved playing this season and will be back whenever another season begins. Hopefully improved and with a better team. To all still playing, good luck.
  12. Well, the Pens losing in the 1st round sucked, but Philly and Washington both getting swept is certainly a nice consolation. lol. As for Vokoun, I think he's going to Tampa. Bryz to Colorado.
  13. Really? I have to be the first one to do it? Fine... NASHVILLE in 7 Detroit in 5 Boston in 6 Tampa in 7
  14. I'm nearly out of games in B1, so I'd be willing to take over a team in B2 since it looks like some will be needed.
  15. I've played 34 of 40 games, I'm pretty sure I'm not "running" from anybody. As for the original comment, I explained the issue. I am always signed onto AIM because my iphone doesn't log off automatically. I've been busy lately, I have evidence to back that up, if you look at my playing pattern. Hence the reason why I got a bunch of games in early, I knew I'd have trouble getting them in later. If you give me some times that you're available, I can give you feedback. Send me an email, or just leave them to me on IM and I'll get back to you when I see it.
  16. Well clearly some of us don't have playoffs to prepare for . It's all about next season!
  17. I want the league to go back to a 2 division format. The early rounds of the playoffs were so much more entertaining when you were guaranteed to play a division rival.
  18. Hello all. I've been registered on this site for a while now, but haven't gone through the whole registration process until today. I've played my test game and would enjoy any practice games to use as a little bit of a measuring stick ;-). This game really did a part in turning me into a diehard NHL fan. AIM is the same as the username to your left.
  19. Hello, I need a test game. AIM is same as my screen name on here.
  20. Looking for a test game: AIM: probob38 e-mail: brob@ymail.com thanks.
