  1. When it is set to ON, you can use the L and R buttons (on top of the conroller) to switch between left and right defensemen. It's much better than using B to select the player closest to the puck.
  2. Well I just don't want to hold things up for everyone else. If it's possible to delay until you get back, without pissing everyone off, then I am open to that, but like I said, I will be busy at that time too, so we will have to find a time that works for both of us. peace
  3. Thanks for posting about your situation Hali. It makes my decision easier. I'm going to have to concede the playoff spot to Halifax/Fenty. I'm too busy lately and will be until mid-July. I probably won't be able to play any games for the next week. I am waiting for shipment of a new computer, busy Thursday, and away until Tuesday. Then, I will be busy towards end of June until mid-July. So count me out. Good season. Enjoyed it immensely. Although I think I finished all my games over a month ago! Good luck in the playoffs everyone. I'll be back stronger than ever next season!
  4. So let me get this straight.. As Detroit, I have to win two series (one against Calgary (Halifax), one against LA (Fenty)) just to grab the 8th seed and the right to face Boston (TheVal)? Wow, I'm soooo screwed!! And I haven't even played in 2 weeks cuz my computer's fried. I should get my new one by the end of the week.. can't wait.
  5. I have tried playing GENS and it was decent, but for me personally, does not compare to SNES. Two key things that put the SNES version way out in front of the GENS version is the player control and passing. I don't care about framerate! Also, I like the SNES controller and controls much better, along with the music and sound effects, the non-blue ice, as well as the goalie and checking animations. Whenever I play the GENS version, I feel like I'm playing a suped up version of NHLPA 93 on SNES, with one-timers and minus the fighting of course. Whenever I play the SNES version, I feel like I'm playing a gift from God. I really don't understand why the GENS version is more popular, but to each his own, I guess.
  6. Oh ya.. He probably made his millions off his NHL t-shirt sales and moved to the bahamas.
  7. Cool! Have you made any shirts for NHL94? More specifically, I think it would be sweet to have a shirt with a picture of the NHL94 box for SNES.
  8. 1. Who would be interested in an SNES draft league? I'm so interested it hurts. 2. what kind if rules do you should be put in place? whatever 3. how many teams should there be in the league? 20? 4. how many players should be drafted? 10 skaters, 2 goalies 5. how many games would be ideal for a season? 42
  9. In case anyone cares, I will be away until May 31. In other words, the Senators will be without their top right winger until May 31. Maybe put Mark Lamb in my place. He is one of the team's best players. His speed is almost above average and he sometimes receives a pass cleanly.
  10. After watching Malkin tonight, I might have to reconsider my vote for Ovechkin!
  11. I didn't bother looking up their goals per game, but I know it would heavily favour AO. IMO, goals are more valuable than assists and should hold more weight when comparing points per game. AO's goalscoring ability is the reason I would pick him over Crosby. Well, that and the fact that he is the most dynamic and exciting player I have ever seen live. Also, if anyone isn't convinced that AO is the man, check this out: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?p=13543861#post13543861
  12. Ya, if anyone says he's one of the best players not in the NHL, they're out to lunch. I think the hype is due to the fact that he is a late bloomer and thus undrafted and can be signed without giving anything up or using a draft pick. He himself said that he's probably not ready for the NHL. I've heard he has decent size, speed and skill, but is a work in progress. In NHL 94 terms, he's sort of like a Luciano Borsato or Evgeny Davydov.. or not even!
  13. I am interested in playing in any SNES league available. Offsides would add another element of skill to the mix. Why not add linechanges too?
  14. VAN 3, DET 4 (OT) DET 1, VAN 3 Good games
  15. DET 6, CGY 3 CGY 4, DET 5 (OT) Good games!
  16. Where is tocknest? and has anyone played him yet?? I never see him on AIM.
  17. Oh great, a guy named "Backward Bob".. does that mean that you're like a bizarro Bob Kudelski?? You are my new arch rival and nemesis.
  18. DET 3, BUF 2 really good game.. there were so many posts hit in the 3rd, but no goals scored.
  19. MTL 5, DET 4 damn close.. good game.
  20. Confirmed. Good games. Game 2 would have been closer if Klima hadn't gotten concussed in the 2nd!
  21. DET 6, WPG 4 WPG 3, DET 2 GGs
