  1. Oh It's already been Broughten.... AIM: xgrad06
  2. Similar to Hokkeefan, hit me up on AIM for games. I don't see anyone from SNES A online. Where is everyone at? I have games left against everyoneee. Master/Prodigy, any way you guys can get on before 8 central? Thats 10 Atlantic for me and I get up early for work every morning. Or at least get on right at 8 and I should be able to play a couple games.
  3. I too wondered if he would get booed tonight. I can see them booing Ovechkin but can they really boo the player that won our country the gold medal? It will be interesting to see. Anyways, I'm predicting Crosby will play like a monster tonight so they likely will end up booing him, Go PENS!
  4. Hey, I'm moving today, won't have internet until May 4th... tried to get to the 10 games last night but couldn't find anyone to play. I'll be back by the 4th and will be good to get my games in.
  5. Curious as to what everyone's TSN Turning Point is for this series. I, believe it or not, think the TSN turning point occurred on January 5th, 2010 (yes in the middle of the regular season). This is the day the Capitals named Alex Ovechkin captain. Unless your name is Nicklas Lidstrom, you can't lead a team to a cup if you're not Canadian... I know they didn't have many other options other than OV8 (or any at all for that matter). I'm not trying to hate on Europeans or Ovechkin or any non-Canadians for that matter. All I'm saying is Ovechkin does not have what it takes to lead a team all the way in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I think Ovechkin is a phenomenal hockey player, one of the top in the world. The best pure goal scorer and most exciting player in the NHL today. But he is a one-man show. He can have all the 60 goal regular seasons he wants. Until he somehow learns to become more than a one-man show and lead a team to Gold medals and Championships, he won't earn my respect. To me, the debate was over long ago... but now, are some of the last few remaining Ovechkin supporters ready to accept that Crosby is better? He may not score as many regular season goals as OV, or he may not fly around the ice at 100 mph and be as exciting and energetic as OV, but in terms of DOMINANCE, CLUTCH PERFORMING, TEAM PLAYER, and overall WINNING MENTALITY: You cannot argue that Crosby is not the superior hockey player. Agree? That said, wow what a first round of the playoffs! Can't wait to see whats in store for the 2nd round! Being a Pens fan, I hope MTL and Halak come back to earth pretty soon or else we too could be in very big trouble. I have confidence that Sid and the boys will be able to solve Halak, but this could be another LOOOONGGGGG series.
  6. Seems pretty accurate. Top 5 Sites: 1) Google 2) Facebook 3) Youtube 4) Yahoo 5) Live
  7. hahahha, that saves reminds me of playing street hockey with my buddy. He used to ALWAYS stack the pads and wait for us to shoot it into his glove exactly like this! haha wicked save!
  8. What happens with all his posts that have been deleted over time? Do they still count towards his total post number? Because I'm sure he's had 100's of posts deleted over the years hahaha.
  9. I like how EA Sports does a simulation of the playoffs to try to predict the winner every year. Does anyone have the time and patience to do a simulation in NHL 94? I would love to see the results. You could use Quebec instead of Colorado, and Winnipeg instead of Phoenix... I dunno who to use instead of Nashville though, but nobody really stands a chance in a simulation against Chicago anyways so it shouldn't matter. As far as I know the only way to do this is to pick exhibitions and let them play without choosing sides. This would be very time consuming but assigning different series to different people would speed things up. Anyways, this would have been neat to do before the playoffs started, it seems like it would be too time consuming now.
  10. That was so funny seeing how pissed that caps fan was after the game. You can read his lips "Turn that F-ing Camera off!" hahaha, and why is he wearing a Jeff Shultz jersey? Must be a huge fan of the +/- stat?
  11. I think in SNES, any goals go. No matter if you intercept a pass from the goalie and have a wide open net or you want to do the crease cutter, it's all fair game in my books. The crease cutter is one of the easiest goals to defend against, so if you can't defend against it, tough luck. If crease cutting is considered "cheap", what about a fake crease cutter? I often like to start doing a crease cutter, then stop and shoot short side as the goalie moves across the crease. I like doing this one a lot and I wonder if others ever consider that one "cheap"?
  12. Wow, I never would of thought of that but it makes perfect sense! Nice one Smozoma!
  13. Is anyone watching the TSN fantasy playoff pool? It's pretty funny, Pierre McGuire is hilarious! I totally predicted his 4th overall pick (Jonathan Toews). Hahaha
  14. Penguins? Deadlyyyy! Mario Lemieux's gonna put on a snipe show, may finally break the 200 pt mark in a season (haha jk). I'm excited to get things started though. Nobody took Chicago in SNES A or B? Thats crazy! I'm tempted to switch... but I'll stick with my Pens.
  15. Keith Tkachuk hangs up the skates. Cross another one off the list. Russian Rocket loses again! http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=317058
  16. YAH, go for it Halifax, sign up for Classic!
  17. By Rage he means Rage93 (thats his AIM), his forum name is chaos and he's the commissioner of this years classic league.
  18. I'm excited to be back in the action! Some great new talent that I've played exhibitions with (xot82, Grayto). And some new faces that I have yet to play. I see that SNES is upto 11 coaches right now, hopefully we can fill it up over the next 2 weeks before the season starts. It would be nice to see some of the legends sign up too (halifax, theval99, JeffBC, nhltrippin, bobkudelski, master and prodigy). Looking forward to a great season! I need to shake off some rust though so I'll be looking for all the SNES guys to play lots of exhibitions before the season starts! My AIM is xgrad06 and I should be on most evenings. Keep in mind I'm in Nova Scotia though so you won't find me too often past 10 EST.
  19. I used this program today and its awesome, why hasn't anyone been using it for leagues yet?
  20. As I was reading this post I instantly thought of Iginla and couldn't wait to reply with his name, until I eventually read your last line and realized you mentioned him. I can see a guy like Steve Downie becoming a consistent 30 goal scorer and 200 PIM guy, but he doesn't come close to comparing with Clark, Roberts, Neely. He's a dirty player and needs to clean up his act and have more respect for other players significantly before I start to give him any respect. If Milan Lucic can stay healthy and continue to improve he could become a mirror image of the Clark, Roberts and Neely greats!
  21. Is Dadonch still around? How much tinkering would it take to be able to use edited games in this program? I'm not really expecting you to know that but if he was around, it's a question I would ask him.
  22. I would take that 100 bucks and then send it to the first person to create a SNES stats extractor. It sounds like its not a super difficult job for someone who has some experience in programming.
  23. Is this league registration starting up today???
  24. Thats funny, yah I think my brother was there for like 13 days of filming. Got a couple hundred bucks a day so not too shabby. They made him play with a left handed stick too even though he's a right shot naturally (because Shadrin shot left.) Overall it's a pretty good movie though. Obviously the filming and acting isn't Hollywood material but the story line is great. All the behind the scenes stuff that happened during the Summit Series is really interesting. You definitely have to see it, the Hotel scene in Moscow is ridiculous hahaha and apparently true too!
