Alright looks like i only need 2 more names from East and 3 from West. I moved Halifax to goaltender at his request and bumped everyone else up a position. I added a couple guys that sent me messages and wanted to be in. I still have one vacant spot.

Hey, so I started this project earlier on in Covid, I was hoping to have it released just prior to the NHL playoff return but it's taken me a lot longer to finish than anticipated. I'm almost done now but need your help to finish. I wanted to update the SNES ROM to 2020 rosters based on the 24 teams that qualified for the Covid-playoffs. As an extra, I'm throwing in a Seattle Kraken team composed of random teams 9th and 4th best Forwards/Defensemen and goalies I think might have a chance at the roster. Let's see if I get any right. I also put together a Top Prospects team of 2020 draft eligible players like Lafreniere, Byfield etc. This rounds out the 26 NHL teams on the ROM. To finish, I thought it would be fun to remember the super stacked and awesome SNES - A East and West season we had with updating the All Stars East and West rosters to match SNES-A players. Forum names are fine but I prefer to use real names so I'm asking for some help to fill in the blanks. The names I do have are from world rankings so if you can reply here with your name or if you know the name of another forum player that would be great. For the rosters I plan on using 9F, 6D, 2G. I don't plan on changing any player attributes, just updating the name and I've ranked the players based on how they finished the seasons. I doubt anyone wants to be goalies so I've made them Chaos and Smoz as a thank you for their help as admins. Halifax will be on the West team and KingRaph will be on the East team so they don't need any extra thanks lol. Haha yeah he was pretty good. He wasn't the nicest dude to deal with on these forums tho. I remember one of these finals I had to move away for a construction job from Mon-Fri for 6 months with very terrible wifi so I said I was only available to play on weekends and his response was he was only available on weekdays so we couldn't play lol. Maybe by publicly calling him out like this he'll come back to play our 10 and 12 year old finals.

I think I have some wrong too. Joe Juneau is left shot on the Bruins but right shot on this WSH team. Not that big a deal tho. Would probably take a while to check every player. Also, did anyone notice their line fatigue goes wonky when they edit lines? I was just playing a practice game vs the computer and switched up my lines and for some reason my 2nd line and 1st line would fatigue at the exact same rate. My 2nd line wouldn’t even have a shift yet in the period and after the 1st lines first shift the bar would be fatigued to the same level as line 1. So weird. This only happened when I messed with the lines, when I left them as default I didn’t notice it happening.

I’ll take Boston @Skankhunt is next.

Glad to hear I'm still alive with the Lidstrom signing... Sounds like it could be his last year though so I likely won't win the pool. I think Kovalev, Selanne and Modano are close with 1 more year left at most... But Hamrlik is only 37 so I could see him playing at least another 2... Even better than my story though comes from a friend of mine from Calgary that I went to university with. We used to play NHL 94 all the time together as roommates in college. Anyways, he went to Vegas last year during the NHL awards ceremony. Him and another guy made up a huge BS story saying they were scouts for the Calgary Flames and they somehow got into the Awards after party! He was doing vodka shots with Datsyuk and rippin Jordan Staal for getting caught underage drinking hahaha. He called me the next day and I couldn't believe the stories he was telling me!

I'm intrigued by Chaos playing in the NHL for 3 seasons but I can't figure out who he is? I've met quite a few NHL players over the years. Met Sidney Crosby the summer after his rookie season at a concert in PEI. I also drank from the cup at Paul MacLean's cottage in Antigonish, NS when he brought it home 2.5 years ago (he's now assistant coach of Detroit, former 300+ goal scorer for the Jets/Wings/Blues). But by far the most enjoyable player to meet was Jarome Iginla. I met him at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey in Montreal, walking in front of the Bell Centre. My brother had just purchased an Iginla Team Canada jersey a few minutes before and got it signed by him! I was so jealous. We hung around the Bell Centre a little more to try to meet some more players. Saw Eric Brewer and Robyn Regher but didn't really give a s**t about meeting them haha. But honestly, Jarome Iginla is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. It was a real pleasure meeting him.

Agreed with this comment. My cartridge does need a Vince Vaughan signature. Swingers is my favourite movie. Me and my roommates in university used to watch it almost every weekend while recovering from hangovers... in between Best of 7 series of NHL 94 of course.

He needed it to sign more autographs. I was one of the first ones to go see him after the speeches.

Hey Guys, It's been a while since I've been around these forums, but after last night I felt obligated to tell you guys this story. I went to a celebrity sports dinner last night in Halifax, to see the likes of Walter Gretzky, Roberto Alomar, Anthony Calvillo, "Irish" Micky Ward and our very own Jeremy Roenick speak. When I found out I had a ticket and that Jeremy Roenick was going to be there I immediately thought I needed to get him to sign my NHL 94 cartridge. After the meal and the speeches I went up to see him: Me: "Jeremy, can you sign my NHL 94 game?" JR: "Is this really NHL 94?" as I pass it to him and he looks at it. "This is the best game of all time!" Me: "I know, and you're the best cyber athlete of all time!" JR signs my game and then we pose for a picture. He asks if he can keep my sharpie and of course I say yes. He says "Thanks a lot" and just before I turn to leave he says "Hey, that's the first one of those I've ever signed." Hahaha, it was a very funny experience. I was surprised at how excited he was to sign my NHL 94 game. I thought all you guys would enjoy this story. I now own an authentic copy of the only Jeremy Roenick signed NHL 94 cartridge in the world!

You put an edited ROM onto a cartridge and can play it on your SNES? That's unreal! Can I buy some, or is that highly illegal? lol

Hey, thetoxic and I have spoken via forum PM's this week. He's having internet connection troubles, and I'm away for work this week so we're unable to play our matchup. We should be good to go by this upcoming weekend though, so we'll play our games then. I see all the other series are completed, so sorry for the delay, we'll try to get them played as soon as possible.

I thought there would be more guys in the player category? Only 3 total, 1 guy and 2 girls? I was under the impression it was going to be 4 guys and 2 girls this year??? hmmmm, guess I misinterpreted everything.

I think a lot of these guys are going to get knocked off this off season or next season. From my own research, of the 15 guys remaining, 11 are UFA's now and the other 4 are signed for the upcoming season only. Brind'Amour, Hamrlik, Kovalev, and Lidstrom are all signed for the 10/11 season only. All the others need a new contract to keep playing. By the end of next season, everyone on this list could potentially be eliminated. I personally, would have liked to have seen Lidstrom sign a 2 year deal instead of the 1 and I would've had a better chance. He'll likely retire at the end of next season. I think that Hamrlik has the best chance of resigning at the end of next season because he's making 5.5 mill now, a pretty good player, and he's the youngest in this group at age 36.
