played with sebe - the game was up to speed, and there wasn't skipping... AND got to use the full screen. Metz... i am not sure why you gave our game we played glowing reviews for connection, it was no where near up to snuff. my reviews are a little more positive now... though for some reason the controls do not seem to be up to par with gens. I'm going to take a stab that this is b/c of my computer and not the emulator, but I am not sure.

I agree with hokkee. Although gens may speed up the game as some may indicate... Kega is clearly slower than an actual genesis. Taking the speed away from the game sucks the fun from it. oh yes... and i like full screen. I was told that i shouldn't use it with kega. strike 2....

Your first mistake was engaging hokkee in his own drunken schizophrenic conversation. Hokkee is like the kodiac bear exhibit at the zoo; masterful to watch in their own setting... but not for man to entangle with.

With all games released, will there be a strict checklines for games to be completed? I think our drunken friend Hokkee worries that this season will drag along if he's waiting for games to be released... but I worry about those GDLers that take their damn time and require replacements. I am certain the answer is yes... but what exactly is the schedule? 10 games per 2 weeks? Season has a hard endtime on December xx, 2008?

I like that idea. I don't think the order of releasing games matter (as long as it's pretty diverse, not releasing same division 2 times in a row), but the thing I like is releasing the first 2 sets right away. The people that finish those 2 sets quickly will have to be patient with the release schedule. They can satiate their nhl94 first in other leagues. It has it's flaws... but it is the GDL way.

What is the rest of the release schedule? For example... when were the next set of games planned on being released? I think the guys at 10 games done can wait a day or two until those with only 1-2 games done to catch up... but we definitely want to avoid idleing too much at any cost.

I should be able to get to 10 by Tuesday in all theory... but can I get some leeway since I just replaced a coach later in the season? I see no one online right now to play.

You make a point, but the consitency of IP address is the proof. If EastVanApna and Hokkee were playing 2on2, and the IP EastVanApna was using during the 2on2 match was different than the one that he was consistently registered as.... then you can verify your suspicion if it is someone else.

This may not be as obvious to me as it is to some others, but I am guessing I am not the only one in the boat. I was under the impression that even with a public connection, the last 2-3 digits of an IP number will be unique to that user no matter what so there is no system conflict. Therefore, IP matching does have some legitimacy in my head. Can someone paint a clear picture if I am wrong about that? 2ndly - I totally agree with you Sebe, and it seems like a lot of people do. Perhaps with the increase in leagues and membership, this is an issue that needs a standard solution before people start blacklisting users. The 2on2 test seems pretty valid in my mind.

The real proof is their IPs - are the ones they used for 2on2 consistent with the ones they normally use? I am definitely on the American Justice side here - innocent until proven guilty. It seems that prior guilt + suspicion and was enough for some people to convict... but my years of watching Judge Judy has helped me to understand that more is needed!

Yea a lot of people are convinced that there are people using multiple ID's with no hard evidence... but just by reading these posts there seems to be a method that can determine the truth without doubt. Thanks to Freydey. Make both users play a 2v2 game. The IP's can be confirmed, and you can tell that 2 sentient beings are in control of the game. Just an idea.

Yea. Remember when Marge made a special cake for Homer to ruin? We need just a special place for Hokkee to make pretend trades to keep him from Jonesin all day long. p.s. Do trades have value to warrant staying in the GDL? You draft the players... why get rid of them after? I can see people making trades to compensate for perceived weak areas in their team..... but trading allows for people to come in with weak draft strategies and potentially make up for it with a sneaky trade (i.e. taking advantage of movers like Hokkee). I think we should vote on trades and free agency (something with even less merit than trades) for next season. Discuss
