  1. Recchi should be on that list as well. Great thread btw halifax. edit: Not sure if John LeClair is inked, but Nedved isin't under contract far as I can tell.
  2. Not that uncommn I guess, never had any out of body experiences where I've actually seen myself playing on the ice, and then we come to naked nhl '94 experiences and it's time for invervention.
  3. I'm guessing the champ-ien gets a bowl of chowdah and a glass of wata.
  4. lol @ the file name - hope this works. Had many of the 4 letter variety myself. As I'm sure you know this game is oldddd (crystal pepsi anyone?) and not conducive to editing. Hopefully someday a master at 68k and assembly will come ride'n in and crack the source so we can make this sexy game Win OS based etc. For the time being edit the sprites with no pallet loaded at all - since this seems to be the issue at hand. Didn't bother loading one when doing the sticks, checking animations, or eyes. If you have trouble identifying the tiles: open two roms simultaneously, load a pallet in one as a refrence, and the other for editing.
  5. Welcome to the nut house Rangers68! In all seriousness, there are some guys who take the game too personally and get all swole and unhinged from time to time, but I've found those types few and far between. Don't let them keep you from enjoying this great site or playing online. And you can find a NYR away sprite here: http://nhl94.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2409 along with others.
  6. Oh haha, that's a question better suited for Mr Owl
  7. Foresberg was injured for almost his whole time here he's, it's not why last season was a debacle but Flyers brass wasn't expected to sign him (I think). Besides we picked up Timmonen, Hartnell and the 2nd pick for a player who many very well have played his last game in the NHL. Awesome move by Homer. On topic I allways watch the hot/cold matchups esp if I'm away at MSG
  8. Thank's for the compliments fellas, much appreciated. Couldn't have done the Super Series teams without help from members here and other Russians through correspondence / other forums becasue lots of players only played 2 or 3 professional games. Not sure what the format will be yet, draft or otherwise. If enough guys want to play with the Russian teams then why not? I know kgbman want's to use the Red Army National team, but having the Cup land in Soviet hands would be scary.
  9. Sega dug thier own grave and marked their own headstone in the console scene by making poor buisness decisions with Sega CD / Saturn and games, hot games like 'Marky Mark': Make my Video." Also making the most expensive game ever at the time in 2000: 'Shenmue' a 70 Million dollar 5 disk epic for Dreamcast that didn't sell well due to poor advertising in the US was the final nail in the coffin.
  10. Das Fuhr? Cold Fuhr take Mien Kamph to prevent Der Sniffles.
  11. Had a chance to test this out last night it's great! Having the ping-pong balls adds a "tonights big 4 power ball lotto" feel and the clock ticking down is adds suspence. Great work Donch!
  12. This is a great idea in principal, but would require an inoridnate amout of time editing all of the tiles and you may still not get the result your looking for. When I did my sprite/ stick tape edit; simple as it sounds, it took a tremendous amount of time just to do the sticks and eyes in TM. I've spent lots of time myself trying to figure out different combinations to free up colors in uniform the pallet but couldn't find a match worth the effort it would take. For example: Montreal's away helmets are blue not red. This should be easy (but very time consuming) to fix by switching the helmet colors from the jersey to the trunks, right? Sure it works for MTL, but it also gives home teams an away color for the lid. Swos mentioned freeing up the stick color by changing it to the flesh color, this is the case with NHL95 (PC) but 2 colors are used for the helmet alone. If you use his strip edit with the stick one he mentioned that would give you 2, still this takes away the skate blade. Removing the strip around the shoulder to act as one color is another idea that might work, that alone would take a lot of work. Also putting dashes on the back of the jerseys as #'s like the old Madden games would be very cool. Not sure if it's any help but I have the sprite sequences cataloged in the thread with the tape edit. Best of luck with this Drezz and I look foward to hearing what you come up with!
  13. Still got this, I never use it. Asking price is 15. They're 38 over at retrousb now.
  14. At the top of the thread there's Options to the right. Go to>display modes>standard.
  15. Man I wish, my gf/future Mrs. clockwise can hardly play pacman. As long as she's fertile to give me little counterclockwises to carry on with '94 when I'm to frail to play it's all good. And they're are some good things ahead, bunch of leagues poping up, I'm working on a few projects for the community as well. I come here to relax and have fun and doubt Evan want's to play Maury on the forums here so please chill with all the ruckus. Besides, Ron doesn't like it when you make him mad.
  16. Personally I like the way it was originally, but either way is cool.
  17. All of the final esthetic enhancements have been added and the game is completed. Go to NHL '91.com to download. Here are the final additions: - Every player now has a player card pic, thats 500+ - Russian Elite teams from the 1990-1991 Super Series - Hockey tape and sprite edit patch I did was added - Swos's bench area - Player #'s and names fixed - Goalie and player rating overhaul - Evan's player circle icon - Tony's speed burst multplier find was added to make it harded to chase down breakaways - NHL '95 PC style puck There's more stuff I can't think of at the moment. Thanks to: kgbman for his release of Soviet Russian hockey players to N. America and quality control, angryjay for his help in locating Russian classic jerseys, Voc for finding jersey #'s testing the game and pointing out my splelinng mistkaes. Chidlovski and other Russians for help with the player card pics, and everyone who gave me feedback about the game. As allways glory to the game.
  18. Hey Evan, Would you consider switching the forum view back to it's default state the way it used to be? It's sort of annoying having to click on a post to view it every time. Thanks.
  19. The All-Star unis are orange black and white, but lots of uniforms are inaccurate. STL, Boston and Chicago come to mind. Philly should have a black band around the shoulder, too, like this, and away lid should be black. This is in some part due to the parameters of Genesis' VDP. You can change the unis to you liking with NOSE.
  20. lol I forgot about the glow puck. btw: One of the major developers who worked on '94 and '95 actually prefers '95 as it's "easier to score for him." He also happens to be a member of the forum.
  21. Yes, the color for the eyes are share with the jersey, if I remember correctly. I fixed this and added tape to the sticks in this patch.. Home or away and what angle?
  22. To some degree I feel responsible for what ever perceived negativity there is towards the Snes guys. The NHL '94 experiment I did a while ago generated some animosity though I was only messing around, Jeff and Case took offence in particular, but I've never seen any flagrant bashing of Snes players on the boards. As for the volume of Gens players this probably has to do with the fact that Genesis was on top in the early 90's during the epic console war between Sega and Nintendo, and more copies were sold for Genesis. Eventually by 95 or so Snes retook command of the market share in the US but Genesis (Mega Drive) remained the #1 console in Europe during it's life span, probably due to the fanbase already built by Sega's Master System. And Evan has to be given props for holding a league for the Snes guys. How many dudes would do that for a game they don't even play?
