I made a NHL 94 members map a while back if anyone want's to put their tag in.

If their was a 94 convention I would definately try to scrape togeher some dough and attend.

I was pretty excited when I heard about 2 on 2, but after trying a few games something is just off.
Is it me or is something just off with deking in 2 on 2 games? It seems some dekes simply don't work or are 10 times harder to pull off. A "backhandfloater" for example is near impossible.
Anyone else notice this?
Yes, to a degree.
I still see plenty of floaters of the 93 variety, too.

We actually tried to save state during a 2on2 game in netplay and were successfull.
I also took a save state after the game and uploaded it to Malachku's stat extractor and it worked! Gave the correct stats and everything.
If this goes as planed I'll take some savestates of nice goal replays during games and make a video compilation on youtube for season 2.

Back by popular demand, after an extended hiatus, the almighty 2on2 tournament makes it's triumphant return.
Although 2 teams from the first season have vacated the tournament, the format has been expanded with the addition of four more teams, bolstering the number of coaches to 12, in what's set to go down as battle of epic proportions in the annals of '94 glory.
Squads are:
clockwise / Cam Kneely - Pittsburgh
newjerseykiller / addisonbr - Chicago
HABS / crossbar94 - Los Angeles
skoolyardpuck / thegr8199kings - San Jose
Matt Hurray / xdeathsbloodx - Edmonton
kgman / hokkeefan - Florida
Keeping with tradition, the format will be identical to last time, with both teams facing each other twice, in a home and home fashion. Only the number of games have been increased.
At the duration of the regular season, the top 4 teams will enter into a best of 7 series.

HAHA, I did a quick demo game between MTL and LA with the frame skip at 9 just to see how it turned out. Man, there's stats for every player, shooting %, scoring summary, the whole works, this is sick! The layout is pro too.

Unfortunately they are sold out.
The Saturn USB pads were L.E. and exclusive to Japan..So I don't think you'll find any US distributors that have any.
You can get a USB adapter for your Gen pad, retrousb.com has them. I know someone from this forum who got one and he's happy with it.

I ripped it in Gens real quick for ya, here .
If you want to rip any sounds during Gens go to: Sound, and wav dump. Stop wav dump when your finished and it will deposit the wav into your Gens directory.

There are also some techniques on Evan's multimedia section in the card set under designer tips.
As far as the (A) button goes...While in possession of the puck and you press the (A) button you will clear the puck or "dump" the puck the legnth of the ice. If you have line changes enabled and you hold (A) while in possession of the puck the change lines window will present itsef..While on defence, or without the puck and you press (A), the player your controlling will perfom a hook.
I actually have a NHL '94 strategy guide but the damn things worthless..It's like a glorified manual, hard to believe but the genius who assembled the, "strategy guide", couldn't manage to fit one, not ONE single method or technique for scoring in the entire 250 page fly swatter

Anybody else do this?
When your center is well marked and an there's a looming checker ready to sandwich you against the boards, rifle it around the half wall and the goalie will over pursue, leaving the net unattended for the slam dunk.
Works even better on the PP. -

There was one oddity that happened during my pee wee days of NHL '94 back in 1993.
In a stunning upset I defeated my older cousin in a three game series. During my post game celebration dance all of a sudden I begin to uncontrollably pummel my cousins fists with my head and stomach for no reason at all.

Got a gently used USB SNES pad for sale here if anyones interested. It's a direct USB so there's no adapter.
It's only been deflowered to test it out and make sure it functions correctly, other than that it's new.
I'd keep em, but I'm equipped as is.

It will be shipped safely and discretely in bubble wrap with big red letters saying "Not SNES USB game pad".

I know Mav and Swos annually update the '94 rosters and such, but i haven't seen them around so I'm not sure about the status of the project

I believe it only does something when your playing with line changes.....
cause the players will fatigue & a timeout well heal them up.
No line changes..... I'm pretty sure it does nothing

Due to a lack of funding, one of the versions had to be omitted. Otherwise the experiments smoothness woul have been compromised by excluding the Yuengling's.
