A lot of people put the bame on Mark lesser for NHL 95, but he didn't design the game..He programmed NHL 94 - 99...I would say it was Mike Brook: who produced the NHL series on Genesis, and Scott Probin: designer of NHL 95. They probably felt it was time for a change. Dont know about that, backhanding a 1 timer at 100 mph for a goal from the high slot isin't like real hockey..But who cares its fun! I want the sports games I play to have at least some modicum of realism, but playing realistic hockey sims isin't nearly as fun as the old school sports games.

Just looking at hockeydb.com..22 seasons. 17 50+ point campaigns. He reached the century mark 6 times, with his best being 155 points in 88-89. Plus the cup wins, and what will surely put him in the hall of fame...Best centerman in NHL 94. Even though he wasn't really productive in his last few seasons, it was stil great to watch, "The Captain". As the Pens drank bubbly from the chalice of chalices, they paused to propose a toast to all 2on2 players for a great campaign. 27 2on2 games were completed in less than a month, impressive. I already knew it was fun to play, but this solidifies 2on2's viability as a tournament format. There will probably be 2 more teams added into the fold come next tournament. Details to come. ggs

Using zazzle.com, I devised what may be the most amazing drivers license photo garment ever..NHL '94 player T's. Check them out. Selanne Gretzky out for period (front) Gretzky out for period (back) All I did was take a screen cap (Ctrl+Backspace) during gens, blew them up, cropped them, uploaded them to zazzle.com and placed an order..Cake I was expecting generic / satisfactory results but the quality is great, the print isin't grainy at all. Only thing I would recommend is: select the beefiest shirt they have. The Selanne one ran me $18.00 and the Gretzky with front and back was $20.00. Here are some of the sprite rips I made if anyone wants to use them to make a shirt. They are also very popular with the ladies..Case in point: I threw one on as soon as I got it and went out to my local water ice joint. I love when this happens! It's been a long while since I've done this. So long that I can't remember if it's '93 or '94 that has this. Which ever it is, it ranks up there with running over players in the ambulance in Madden '92 when someones injured. Been playing '93 online a bit with several people and it got me wondering.

Since I began playing online several months ago I've observed a variety of face-off martial arts, some of which I've added to my own arsenal. Some are more effective than others, but one things for sure.. it's not a random thing, and they have a big impact on the outcome of a game. There appears to be few popular techniques in draw karate: Hundred hand slap- simply moshing on the B button like a jack hammer. Tiger pushing the mountian - checking the opponent off the draw in a attmpt to dislodge the player from the puck. Rarely have I seen this be effective, it's kind of a desperation technique me thinks. The monkey stealing the peach - stealthy waitng till the puck drops, then pressing B..Very sneaky tatic I have a few of my own, but they won't be declassified unless someone exposes them .

Haha, good eye (or ear for that matter). I got it from here. You have to go down a bit, but it's there. NHL 2000 is the best hockey game ever next to Genesis's NHL series imo, and is almost identical in terms of gameplay / dekes and one timers next to '94. If anyone happens to see it floating around I strongly recommend you pick it up..You won't be disapointed.
